Small theory... Do you think that the Kwami have an influence on the personality of its user? It could explain why Adrien is overly flirty when it's Chat but when he's Adrien he's more of a flatterer. The ideas I have go more or less like this:
Tikki --> Levelheadedness
Plagg --> Flirtyness
Nooroo --> Insecurity
Duusu --> Confidence
Wayzz --> Worryness
Trixx --> Inventiveness
Pollen --> Friendlyness
Kaalki --> Coolness
Fluff --> Responsability
And the more you use a certain Kwami, the more it influences your personality when you use it, and even after you use it, that's why Marinette, Adrien and Hawkmoth are the most affected, while Alya, Nino and Nathalie started to show symptoms in the show.

I've always seen it more as the kwamis bring out who they really are. But I like this take on it as well.

@Marinette Dupain-Cheng But he doesn't say anything remotely close to what he says as Chat when he's alone with Plagg.
Whenever he talks about Ladybug with Plagg, he doesn't talk about how much he loves her or what he wants to do with her, but he talks about how awesome she is.
Adrien is not flirty. Chat is.
Even Chat Blanc is more flirty than Adrien (And I would say that he is more flirty than Chat Noir), and that's because he was alone, trapped and transformed... for MONTHS, when normally he would've detransformed after a couple of MINUTES.
We see that after becoming Mayura Nathalie gains more and more confidence (Or she becomes more reckless, both interpretations work well) to the point that even if she's sick she fought hand to hand with someone who can INSTAKILL HER or at the very least break all her ribcage...
These are the things that make me think that maybe the Kwami influence their user's behavior the longer they're used.

But I remember to read in a comment, that Astruc wrote that a kwami doesn't affect the holders personality.
But I think it would make sense for them to do.
