First published in Saki's Collection entitled "Beasts and SuperBeasts" in 1914, "The Open Window" is arguably his most popular short story. A practical joke played upon a visiting stranger, conflict between reality and imagination confounds both the unfortunate Mr.Nuttel and the reader.
