This is actually the endorsement I needed. I find Andy's favourites are typically too firm for me, so when he says a shoe isn't as "responsive" then I know I'm gonna get a pillowy ride.
I'm returning my T22s. They're just kind of unremarkable at everything. For easy/recovery efforts, they're not nearly as comfortable at something like the Nimbus, 1080, or the Cloud Eclipse. And they're not responsive or energetic enough to match something like the Boston 12 or certainly the Superblast. They're not bad--they just don't bump any other shoes from the rotation for me.
Oh no. I currently enjoy, the Triumph 20s in my rotation for easy and moderate paces. It is by no means an exciting shoe but decent overall. Was hoping to add the 22s to my wish list, but might have to move it down the list (read: buy when it is discounted heavily). Well, Andy, hope you can give us a 100 mile review at least, to be sure.
Do you think the Ride 17 has been positioned to take over where the Triumph was and the Triumph to an even slower position? What takes the place of where the Ride was? Kinvara 14?
The Ride 17 may be a more versatile shoe now. I prefer the feel anyway (10mm drop is more than I like). I just wish they had kept the weight of the Ride under control. I hope you'll keep an eye out for the most versatile.daily shoes. Seems that as soon as one appears, the company sets to designing the versatility out in the next version.
Part of me is cool with it being a recovery shoe because i need one. Part of me is wondering how they made a fully peba based midsole feel like it cant turn over. Part of me is still mad that its a 10mm drop
Seems like a very premium price for a very average shoe. Very devilish of saucony to demand so much $$$ when thr pwrrun pb foam underperforms and is even overshadowed by the ride 17 now. Pb foam is supposed to be lively energetic and fun. They could have made the foam much more fun and still have it retain the essence of an easy day long run plodder...shame on saucony for ruining the triumph for anoth two years lol
I'm really on the fence about covering this shoe. At first I was intrigued but as the reviews are coming out I'm loosing interest. I have a very comfortable cruiser, that I adore, plus a few other options behind it. I don't like wide contact patch shoes and honestly if I want a PWRRUN PB cruier that is the Speed 4 for me...
@@fodrunnerextra No worries. The ship sailed on this one for me. I am glad some found it good though. It was one of those shoes that had a lot of expectations but the reality was different… but the reality wasn’t bad for some.

Haha! I’m glad I helped 😉

My first runs in the shoe was taking me back to a nimbus 25 feeling
that's definitely what they feel like to me also
Good afternoon. It's clear, I love the easy run. Now, I have the salomon Aeroglide 1. Like to Andy. A nice weekend for everyone.
I did not have T21 or T20 in the past. But i like my T22 after ES2😂

Yeah they’ve definitely all shuffled around for sure. I’m convinced the ride 17 now does what the triumph used too
Yes I want for a versatile daily trainer to do sessions as well so might look at the 21 or Ride 17. Was Ride 17 soft enough for longer distances?
I found it to be soft enough yes… I’ve done some 90 minute runs in them, and one of them had some MP paces thrown in so much more versatile

Ah man, have Tracksmith sent you gear too?! [Jealousy Alarm goes off loudly]

Sorry mate only just seen this comment 😂 indeed a comfortable cruiser… I was probably in the minority with this one but I really enjoyed it

Bought it, returned it, bought the 21. Terrible update.
True test is on asphalt, and NOT on dirt roads.
Got over 100 miles in them now… plenty of asphalt now, brilliant shoe 👏 and still only easy runs for me!
Novablast 4 much better than T22
Yep - I’ve not used ASICS in a decade but have the T20 however it’ll be NB4 for this summer with Puma Magnify 3 when it comes to winter running.
Hmmm that’s a tough call for me, not sure!
