I couldn’t imagine how pissed off I’d be if the game that I spent years working passionately on, the game that was getting loads of praise and attention from everyone and there dog, started getting ripped a part due to an awful decision made by some business executive.
Years ago, that I played the game... but I still come back every few month, to watch this trailer. Its like a trip in depression, a real masterpiece, which left me speechless everytime...
This video really captures the feeling of helplessness that you can't experience through gameplay alone. He's just one human being, and he can't save everyone's lives. Poor Arytom.
What I always found most cool about artyoms character is that he has spirituality, it's a pretty rare attribute in protagonists, and of course it works so well because the mysticism and world building in the metro universe is so robust *chefs kiss*
It’s crazy how the second people are in danger, or gonna be he tries to help despite how powerless he is those situations. Plus his eyes when he sees the aftermath sends a chill down my spine.
I think that Artyom (from the game universe) has during like 2 or 3 years experienced, seen, more shit than the Lone Wanderer from F3, Sole survivor from F4 and other post-apo characters who usually spend more of in-game years, yet they experience half of that. If this was real, then Artyom would really be one of the toughest Russians.
I played many games, but Metro games left a special place in my heart! This is the most perfect game, the end is reckless and excellent, man saves his love ... I just have no words to describe this perfect game
In the deleted scenes, the final part of Artyom's nightmare shows a Dark One materialize out of thin air and say "We're pulling out of Steam right before launch and going Epic Games exclusive" but it was deem too horrifying and traumatizing even to the test audience that they had to cut it from the final product.
Incredible ad (except for that Wilhelm scream, which was dumb). I love the angle of protecting people. This is what video games are supposed to be about (IMO).
I like to think that hallway at the end isn’t just like a community one like we say in the first metro, but Artyoms own private place to grieve, with each candle for someone he couldn’t save.
This trailer made me feel so sad but hopefull, Artyom´s nightmare, he would not be able to save his loved ones, and make a better future for his people, fighting for surviving and killing when necessary. I bought this game to play even not knowing the metro series. This is what i call a gameplay trailer, AND THE GAME ITSELF ITS MAGNIFICENT.!! God bless you all.
when artyom runs at 3:01 he tries to hunt the monster to save the people but at the same time he is no different then the monster who chases them but a monster to the monsters becoming the monster. The metro can make one man insane from the depth of its core. You are now the monster Artyom.
I absolutely love Metro universe and Artyom's story. I'm glad we're getting more content. Hopefully there will be another Metro game in the future. I've played each game multiple times and still is my favorite survival shooter.
I'm making an extra effort to afford this game. It really looks cool and doesn't deserve the hate it's garnered in the last days. I'll buy it day one on Xbox One (I hope) and later on PC.
The best part about this trailer is we finally get to see Artyoms eyes - it may be subtle, but you can see the expressions he gives off throughout the trailer with his eye movement.
God I love playing these games they've really been the only games where they really give me the chills in entering the metro tunnels I see why the residents in the books fear these same tunnels, and I personally love what they've done with this trailer and with Artyom as a protagonist.
“Even in dark times, we cannot relinquish the things that make us human.” “You reap what you sow, Artyom: force answers force, war breeds war, and death only bring death. To break this vicious circle one must do more than act without any thought or doubt.” - Khan Metro 2033
2:50 during this scene - anyone else feel like trying to play a true lawful good character in a apocalyptic game like fallout or metro saving random people?
Not too many trailers both show off what you're going to experience, but also allow you to look back with new-found experience and watch it again with context.
I still come back and watch this often😭🤧 there's so much emotion in this, even though Artyom doesn't say a word, but you can feel his emotions, you can see he's emotions and how so desperately he tries to help and protect everyone and save everyone against enormous odds... I'm sure there is many other amazing protagonists in other games and stories. but to me he is amongst the best and most human.
This trailer is absolutely beautiful. I watched it on the highest quality i could. I admit, i got the feely feels when I saw Artyom being that grieved at the end. Good stuff. Great trailer.
Spoilers from metro and until dawn Artyoms outfit reminds me of the strangers. When you first see the stranger you think "oh he's out to kill us" just by the way he looks. Or i did but anyways he ends up helping the kids to safety and teaching them about the monster. Artyom has the same vibe. He looks like a blood thirsty maniac but really he's an angel, a hero. But thats just to me though.
Artyom said that he saw another place in his deam in the game. The place that hasn't been touched by the radiation or by the war but it doesn't appear here.
The game that i will be purchasing twice....Damn you Deep Silver...... Pre Ordered on Ps4 pro and in 2020 will be buying it again on PC so i can experience it in all its glory..... THANK YOU 4A.....
i like how Artyom its very gentle but at the same time its what the Stalkers wants to be like. For example, in the level Revolution, there's 2 guards having a conversation talking about what happened in the front between the fascists and the reds, back in Metro 2033, we got archivements for killing all the enemies in the level Front, and the guards was talking about a group or a super soldier from the Hansa or the "Orden" (i don't know the traslation for "Orden" in english so i wrote it on spanish) that killed everyone in the front.

Ahahhahahahahahahahahahahahah the doc.20 you are awesome
This video was directed so well emotionally an action-oriented. I've never felt so connected to a trailer like this, greatest animation ever.
I can literally feel artyom's emotions at 3:21
that hurts, man
Yeah totally, I see fear like pure fear
Vixx -kun I wouldn’t even call that fear. Just straight up horror.
Anna's scream when Artyom fell off the train. Very good voice acting, I shivered.
Yeah, it was good and I bet she has more of a role in this game as well.
*To this day, this trailer gives me chills, we really need a metro movie*
Apparently there’s one in production coming out in January 2024
@@aleksanderwrx7073damn i wish
My boi Artyom has grown so much *shed manly tears*
Loved the series, amazing games, will love playing this one! Thanks for all the hard work 4A
Sadly the executives at Deep Silver just had to throw almost all the good will people have for 4A's work out the window.
@@trevordavis6830 and one of the devs went completely mental about it
Vincente Godoy At least the dev had an excuse. I couldn’t imagine how pissed off I’d be if the game that I spent years working passionately on, the game that was getting loads of praise and attention from everyone and there dog, started getting ripped a part due to an awful decision made by some business executive.
1:47 you gotta love the wilhem scream.
Years ago, that I played the game... but I still come back every few month, to watch this trailer. Its like a trip in depression, a real masterpiece, which left me speechless everytime...
Never has a game given me chills before until this beauty
This video really captures the feeling of helplessness that you can't experience through gameplay alone. He's just one human being, and he can't save everyone's lives. Poor Arytom.
Metro Exodus: DeepSilver's PR Nightmare
This is how you do a Post-apocalyptic story. Take notes, the Last of Us.
Artyom will circle every corner of hell to achieve his goal. True inspiration.
if i had a boy i would name him artyom......
What I always found most cool about artyoms character is that he has spirituality, it's a pretty rare attribute in protagonists, and of course it works so well because the mysticism and world building in the metro universe is so robust *chefs kiss*
I can’t simply not give 4A something for this game. It was out of their control and I refuse to let them be punished for it. They shall have my MONEY.
And is not even half the shit Artyom (books Universe) has went trough.
@@jackhammertwo1 hmph, I have read Metro 2033 and 2034 (I am halfway through) and I do not feel like that there is much of what he does.
@@Thraakull In 2035 he is (metaphorically) beaten too many times even in the ending.
Courier 6 is the most comparable imo, granted I haven't really played many games about nuclear apocalypses besides FO and Metro.
*RESPECT* for Artyom, he really went through a lot.
One of the best games i have ever played. Definetely the most underrated game ever !
3:13 Bro, the sadness in Artyom's eyes...
Me: you can't save everyone Artyon.
Artyon: Hold my vodka.

Mass Murdering bandits, cannibals and green thugs intensifies lol
I played many games, but Metro games left a special place in my heart! This is the most perfect game, the end is reckless and excellent, man saves his love ... I just have no words to describe this perfect game
This man is the literal definition of Adapt, overcome, succeed.
If you haven’t played the three Metro series games by now - I envy you. They are very immersive and fun/scary games.
That OST is perfect. When Artyom is trying to save that family.
any idea what its called?
@@Puikin20 nah man I just thought it was amazing. Maybe it will be released ones the game is out.
@@Oghuzpervert1 it isnt in the main ost, its either an unreleased track or not from the composer
@FBI Nope it's not Artyom's family
@FBI cant be, his mother gave him to the metro when he was a baby when everyone was trying to get into the metro for sanctuary
4 years later, this vibe in each ukrainian soldier who go in hell just to protect ordinary people from evil...
i love how human he is. he isnt immortal, isnt invincible yet he has the courage to fight like he is even if he knows he will feel each hit.
Mitch Johnson it’s a little dumb, but hey, the Wilhelm scream is a classic
The real nightmare will be when you try to to play this game offline but you can't due to epic store
DeathClawDC sucks to have a pc lol
Just pirate it
@@mitchellsmirh3259 what?
Mitchell Smirh sucks to play at 30 FPS
Mitchell Smith Actually offline mode is a standard on PC. Epic is just a really anti consumer store that likes screwing over its customers
I like to think that hallway at the end isn’t just like a community one like we say in the first metro, but Artyoms own private place to grieve, with each candle for someone he couldn’t save.
that's a good way to look at it
This trailer made me feel so sad but hopefull, Artyom´s nightmare, he would not be able to save his loved ones, and make a better future for his people, fighting for surviving and killing when necessary.
Goblin Slayer : "I am to goblins what they are to us."
One of the best trailer I've ever seen. Hype 100%
No kidding. Made it seem like hes been running away forever and finally he runs towards the fight
A soldier with PTSD, Artyom still goes on
i just finished the game yesterday, im in tears after watching this
I absolutely love Metro universe and Artyom's story. I'm glad we're getting more content. Hopefully there will be another Metro game in the future. I've played each game multiple times and still is my favorite survival shooter.
Dmitry Glukhovsky announced that the Metro movie will be released in 2023. And this trailer just got me even more excited
"My name is Viktor Reznov and I will have my revenge!!!!"
I don't why I remembered that
It kinda fitting 😂😂

Same here.
I'm making an extra effort to afford this game. It really looks cool and doesn't deserve the hate it's garnered in the last days. I'll buy it day one on Xbox One (I hope) and later on PC.
@Daddy At least we will be enjoying the game.
2019 and we have a Wilhelm scream in this video
Artyom is not a hero for hero’s never fail Artyom is a warrior who wins and loses and remembers all of it
The best part about this trailer is we finally get to see Artyoms eyes - it may be subtle, but you can see the expressions he gives off throughout the trailer with his eye movement.
You could see them in 2033 too.
God I love playing these games they've really been the only games where they really give me the chills in entering the metro tunnels I see why the residents in the books fear these same tunnels, and I personally love what they've done with this trailer and with Artyom as a protagonist.
“Even in dark times, we cannot relinquish the things that make us human.”
“You reap what you sow, Artyom: force answers force, war breeds war, and death only bring death. To break this vicious circle one must do more than act without any thought or doubt.” - Khan Metro 2033
His true nightmare is to show us his face😂
I think the radiation has fucked it up at this point.
its putin
Wacko Lover yeah his eyes looks like putins
Probably best to remain vague on his face. At this point most people have a personally biased idea as to what he looks like as they play.
You can see his face in original metro
I come back to this every once in a while and it still amazes me every single time
I still get chills when I come back and re-watch this video, easily one of my favorites.
2:50 during this scene - anyone else feel like trying to play a true lawful good character in a apocalyptic game like fallout or metro saving random people?
Someone know if it's possible to found the name of the music at 2:50 please !!!! Up my commentary for an answer please
I want too😭😭😭
Just search for it on the in game soundtrack cause thats what most developers do they put in game soundtrack in their trailers
Pirates of the Caribbean theme
@@smilie120 not fun
Izan Groûper I’m sure it’ll be released post launch but yeah like the other 2 metro games I’m sure this soundtrack will be great
I just know realized that the reason it’s called artyom’s nightmare is not because of the monsters it’s because he’s afraid he can’t save everyone
1:48 no way they used the Wilhelm Scream
If a movie will be made after the game,I am convinced that he would win an Oscar! :D
3:45 *Doom slayer theme starts playing as the door closes*
How am I five years late I never had any clue this trailer even existed
This trailer is absolutely beautiful. I watched it on the highest quality i could. I admit, i got the feely feels when I saw Artyom being that grieved at the end. Good stuff. Great trailer.
Spoilers from metro and until dawn
Artyoms outfit reminds me of the strangers.
Artyom: when unfathomable terror meets inexhaustible courage.
