Now i am 51.. and always collecting metal music. Never stop.. even when metal was not a trend anymore. I have more than 3,000 cds,vinyles, tape..box set. All import..signed cds..collectors édition. More than 34 years in metal and i will not stop until i die. Stay Brutal!
I started with glam too at age 12. Whitesnake, Bon Jovi, Poison, Cinderella. Now at 45 years of age, I have about 6,000 CDs that I love, 200 vinyl, and 300 cassette tapes. VHS all the way baby!
I am about the same age as you. I'm down here in Melbourne Australia. In the early nineties I was into Entombed, Sepultura, Death, Morbid Angel and Napalm Death. Then I got into industrial and then weirder stuff. Recently started getting back into death metal...after so many years.
In 1998 black metal arrived to the United States. Between 2004-2014 I took a break from it all and studied classical music. Then it was listening and collecting death and black metal since 2014.

I've been collecting thrash metal cassettes since the 80s. It's funny to think there is someone else out there that makes sure the cassette cases are in great condition and correct for the time of release. Absolutely awesome collection you have. 👍

Thanks bud! I do concentrate on the death and black metal. Thrash is great but rare thrash is not my forte. I love classic heavy metal of course like Saxon, Motorhead, and Diamond Head..

One CD at a time. Then if you are into metal search for it locally, bandcamp, ebay, and especially discogs.

Ive certainly not got as much experience as you (im 16) but im at about 375 total albums currently and my rarest cd is probably the first JL America press of Killing Addiction's "Omega Factor"

Once in a while I will take out a lesser release if I obtain a killer new add, and shift. It is a pleasure! With limited slots I find that I am forced to access the best collection possible.

I limit my collection to the one thing I can afford, CDs. If I collected records, t shirts, and memorabilia, I would be a mess. CDs I can organize by region, alphabetical, and chronological. Adding other rich pleasures in life would be difficult. Frankly, I am happy, humble, cheap house out in the country, but still love the metal. I am happy to share it!
