Dear viewers! i've made a fan movie based on our beloved Miami Vice, and I would like to know your opinion about it. Check it out in my videos and enjoy!
Just marvellous this episode. She was indeed "Little Miss Dangerous". What a tune to mirror a fantastic, dark scene. Just brilliant. TV streets ahead of its time. Miami Vice will always rock. Best ever.
1986 College bars were dead on Friday nights until Miami Vice aired! I had completely forgotten about this gripping scene and not being into PIL, I always thought it was just a really good Jan Hammer synth. Forgotten for 35 years, Umbrella Academy elevator scene -- WAIT WHAT?? I know this!!! Of course a million others are googling the identity of this incredible track!
Supernatural and Miami Vice. The two best shows ever to me. Both of them have great music too. In fact, if Missing Hours was canon, they could probably be in the same universe.
Awesome scene from the best show ever! Side note..The guy on the motorcycle at the end really had a major fail, lol. Then Crockett steps right on the door with him under it! :D
This is my most favorite episode. Such a dark one. I'm just now understanding what her tormented past was (physical substitute) and what was going on in her head when she killed herself in front of Rico. Dam.
Absolutely. I'm astounded that a singer with barely any acting experience could convincingly portray this complex character with ease. Made me wonder how much of Jackie is really inside Fiona.
you know songs can be so...strange. I remember hearing this song in the first episode I think in Miami Vice as a kid. I'm watching s2 of the Umbrella Academy and I hear this song, lol. I come hear and search for it and guess what? There is a search for the song created...in Miami Vice. Thank you internet for the nostalgia
i just did the same thing. I put episode 6 on pause when i first heard the song (which I love) and went searching for it. Saw it was also used in Miami Vice. I honestly have likely not heard it since 1985 or whenever this episode came out. Incredible song...
BtimeC I just paused Umbrella Academy RIGHT NOW to look up this song! As soon as I heard it, I was like “Oh yeah. That’s from Miami Vice! Let me go find the scene on RUclips.”
First three seasons killed it. Once michael mann left as producer, as well as most the original writers, it went downhill a bit. Still good, but the early seasons were on point.
MV had the best cold opens & end scenes. Hands down. This definitely one of the top ones. The last scene of Out Where The Buses Dont Run thats paired with Dire Straits' Brothers In Arms is another one of the best.
It was incredible. It used to literally be the absolutely best thing on TV. The music was quality as well, so well produced. I was only a kid and it blew my tiny mind.
@Jimmy Conway same here. I'm not gonna lie to you, man. The end of this episode (especially with this song The Order of Death by Public Image Ltd being featured) nearly brought tears to my eyes, even by first watching it at age 11, and something in my head said to me "this is not the show for kids".
@@neilfournerat9778 A new generation is listening to PIL's Order of Death... not because of Umbrella Academy, but because of this classic 35-year old scene from Miami Vice
Ah deux flics a Miami que de bons souvenirs : Actions, musique pop d'enfer, jolies filles, superbe voitures, les plages de rêve, bref du fun est rien que du fun👍.
Didnt you know Miami vice was the ORIGIN show format for csi, ncis etc etc.. the fornat of dark and neon colors, music in certain scene.. MICHAEL MANN IS A GENIUS!! I HREW UP WITH THIS.. MY DAD WAS A MAJOR FAN BACK IN THE DAY..! 😂❤
Well the A team(although was not as good of a produced show) is equally a favourite of mine. It had great a character relationship. The music selection in miami vice is the best ive seen in any show
The episode with Ted Nugent was awesome too. Nugent did Little Miss Dangerous in this episode. I miss this Miami Vice and Crime Story. Michael Mann productions! Order of death and Happy are my favorite PIL songs. Still get the chills watching this!
Maybe. But I’ve watched it many times. She told Tubbs she loved him. Tubbs was screaming at her not to kill herself. She already had the gun in her hand and pointed at her head. If Tubbs screaming at her not to kill herself was not enough, what could Crockett have done, even if he had managed to get in? Maybe you are right though…
Think MV was groundbreaking in that prior shows had to use "canned" tunes due to copyright issues, then something changed and they blew it all wide open. I remember hearing this tune, not really paying attention to the show, and was just transfixed. Little did I know was hearing what would be my favorite PIL song ever. So dark and beautiful.
She was a serial killer who compulsively murdered her johns due to sexual trauma at a young age. She fell in love with Tubbs, and knowing that she'd murder him eventually, killed herself to protect him.
@@rockduded8925 I thought Tubbs being the first man to not take the opportunity to sleep with her sort of transformed her outlook. She realized what she had done wrong and knew there was no coming back from it.
The fact that Tubbs was still alive was because he cared. she was an Re-incarnation of Jack The Ripper (Jackie) but now it was the men's turn to bleed.

Ha, Rick Springfield wishes! Not even close, that's John Lydon, lead singer of the Sex Pistols and Public Image Limited. This song was also in a great scene in the movie "Hardware".
@magnmadsen The question was in reference to the motorcycle dude driving through the front door? If its about that guy, then, no, thats not Rick Springfield, if the question was serious. The music is P.I.L./John Lydon.

Happy birthday to the song's composer, John Lydon, and happy anniversary to this memorable episode! :)

I owe GTA Vice City my life for leading me to this show. It's been a big influence on me in so many ways.
I saw this episode in High School in 1985! This Awesome song is Very Dark & Eerie, but I Love it! !
Miami Vice Forever ⚡🌙!
Impossible, it aired in Januari 1986.
One of my favorite MIAMI VICE SCENES
Michael Mann defined 80's film noir.

My all time favourite moment from Miami Vice! Has there ever been anything on tv cooler than this?
No

I’m pretty positive the song was not created for Miami Vice, this was just a great song at the time when Miami Vice was current.
Um, holy shit. I've never watched a minute of Miami Vice other than this scene but now I suddenly want to watch the show. Was it always this intense?
No. But when they got it right, man, did they nail it.
Not always, but many episodes are really good. The most of them I'd say.
First three seasons killed it. Once michael mann left as producer, as well as most the original writers, it went downhill a bit. Still good, but the early seasons were on point.

The best episode of the series. With the perfect theme with the most beautiful girl.
Michael Mann at his best. If you haven't seen Manhunter aka the original Red Dragon. There is another great pairing of music and visual action.
That had Michael Mann written all over it.
Just watched this a few days ago. It was pretty good, totally Michael Mann and his stylistic hints of MV.
