I just use subtitles when I don't understand clearly. But sometimes it's words that I don't know. Videos on youtube, sitcom shows, and podcasts is more easy for me but when comes to movies or tv shows that involve Crime and Law it's more difficult for me. For example now i'm wathing the tv show ' Arrow' I don't know if watched this show or know about it but there's a lot of complicated words. I'm even think that I'm not ready to watch this show yet. Sometimes I need to pause constantly check words.

Your explanations and advice are almost always excellent Very useful for those of us who try to improve our English day by day. I think you are right about the accents. In my case, I listen to different podcasts every day in different accents to get used to the different pronunciations, expressions and vocabulary. As you say, American English is the most common in the world and therefore the example to follow. I think the same as you, I try to familiarize myself with all those words that are said in a certain way. in the US and another in the UK, just like expressions like gonna, wanna, kinda, etc. Learning English is a long road that can only be achieved with perseverance and daily work and, above all, if you like it.
American films are difficult to understand because of everything you mention and because of the jargon (slang) they use personally, I always watch FBI in English, they use a lot of slang and It helps me learn. Your video is excellent as always and just the right length to not be boring. I send you my warmest regards.🇮🇨🇵🇱
