I’m only 25 but thanks to having lived in the U.K. since I was 3 (we moved here from Norway) none of the brilliant British (near the knuckle…) humour goes to waste on me. IMHO this comedy series was the radio version of the wonderful “Carry On” films.
Even saucier than the marvellous “Carry On” films! I was born in Norway but we’ve lived in the U.K. since I was 3, thankfully by living here for so long (I’m 25 now) I’ve grown up with the British sense of humour all around me. We have an elderly neighbour who has quite advanced dementia, as a psychiatric nurse I really do think he should be living in an assisted living facility but for some reason those responsible for making the decisions regarding his care think that he can live in his own home with 3 visits a day from so called care assistants (we do more for Charlie in a day than they do in a week!). I try to spend as much time with Charlie that my job allows and he loves to listen to the old radio comedy shows that people are kind enough to upload to RUclips for us all to share. I haven’t played any of these hilarious episodes of RTH to him yet - but I’m certain Charlie will really enjoy them. His favourite comedies from RUclips are the many episodes of “The Men From The Ministry” that are currently available. Many thanks to those who took the time to gather these hilarious episodes of probably one of the best (and funniest..) British radio shows ever broadcast. 👱🏻♂️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Thorvald (pronounced Tourval)
And still we laugh out loud! Just wonderful.
This was one of my favourite radio programmes. Still is.
Wonderful! Comedy from a time when we allowed to laugh and have fun! Hilarious and nobody was ever hurt or offended. Magnificent writing and delivery.
Perfection in comedy!
