That wind down is so creepy. Imagine hearing this siren at 1 in the morning when it’s pitch black out and all you see are glowing lights in the skies. The selay siren heard here is high-pitched and sounds like an STH10, but much creepier. I bet these sirens are rare, too. You can’t find them in the US, and these must be European-made sirens. Nevertheless, these sirens are creepy but also beautiful at the same time. Also, there must be an Allertor closeby.
In Turkey, sirens aren’t used for natural disaster warnings. They’re used either as a warning for an enemy attack, or to commemorate Atatürk’s death in every November 10.

That just looks like a beautifully formed thunderstorm. No tornado. Besides, seeing a tornado in Turkey is very awkward. I think they are warning of enemy attack.
Yes, the model of the siren is the model you mentioned. It is the sound of the Selay SL-1170 model, which is on the roof of the Istanbul Ataşehir Municipality Municipal Building in the location where the video was shot.
Mr. GeforcerFX Most countries get them, but the United States has the most. China would have more if it wasn't for the Himalayas to block most of the polar air from the north from flowing south.
Tornadoes in Turkey!? Wow I didn’t know that. I think I heard some kind of 9 port siren that sounds like it is running on 60Hz...weird as they use 50Hz in Turkey. Also, that can’t be a Federal Signal 500 ST-108 as it sounds like it is running on 60Hz. 50Hz 12 port would sound like a 10 port on 60Hz. Unless they somehow got different types of motors for those...
@@MertTechz uh no. Federal Signal 500s weren’t ever made in 15 port (unless these are modified). They only came in 12, and 9/12 port. Also P-50s were only made in 8/12 port. Were these modified or something? Also 500s do NOT carry 200 miles lmfao. If they were to, that makes them like 250-280dB at 100 feet. No siren can be that loud as only a shockwave can get that loud. 500s are 123-128dB at 100 feet and usually carry up to 4 miles if the conditions ore ok. Also the sirens I heard here is a 12 port 500 or something doing fast wail and a 9/12 port further doing alert
Could be cause the different electrical voltage there and probably a siren controller made from there since they don't make parts for a old siren like that especially if it's in a different country
We do warn people, but if you had an outbreak like April 27, 2011 you'd still likely have hundreds of deaths despite the warnings. When a major tornado hits a big city your going to have fatalities.
