I hope you are alright my dear. I have gone through that bittersweet pain too as I have also fostered animals. Dogs for me. Local Indian dogs. I currently have 7 dogs and 2 cats. All from the streets.
Worth it for who exactly, because to me seems like this process is more detrimental to the animal. Just when that soul get used to you and possibly other pets you have ,you send him somewhere else and broke his trust again. And I am not reffering hear to get case in special. I talk in general. It doesen't seem beneficial for the animal
Unless you want to end up as an animal horder, it's better for them if you give them a home and socialize them to be with people until they can go to a permanent home. I have four cats already, I try to help out with ones that need a place to go, but I can't keep every single one that comes to me.
