Yeah Mukuro and Junko are sorta tragic, since the more Mukuro devoted herself to Junko, the more Junko didn't wanna have her around. Mukuros failing to understand, how Junko does get her kick out of making everything worse, is what got her killed. She really didn't get Junko. Funily enough Junko really liked her, but she would've loved for Mukuro to betray her to feel that despair. Well it is what it is. Fun fact: Mukuro is the 3rd strongest character in the whole franchise, only being outclassed by Sakura and Deus Ex Machina Izuru.
I've had the weird headcanon that Trance Mode for Mukuro is as situational as is due to her underweight nature (likely as a result of Junko encouraging her to starve) requiring more push or effort to sustain, so in a more optimal scenario for her & with a more sane BMI (as in if she was in a physical state comparable to Aoi or Sayaka), she'd be at her peak much more easily & would be more neck & neck to Sakura.
I think the other gray morale character in the series should get their own thing too (Mukuro and Nagito got something for them, so Kokichi should too!)
