Malaya McCraven is one of those talented young jazz musicians who often do not get the attention that the jazz greats of the 50’s , 60’s and 70’s. His music is complex and beautiful composed. I am glad you put out video’s on music other than the standard audiophile reissues. I wish more RUclips reviewers would cover young musicians in jazz and other genres. 👍🏾
Makaya McCraven’s next project after this release was the Chicago Experiment released on Ropeadope Records with exquisite trumpet playing from Marquis Hill and Joel Ross on vibes. I would check out the Danish drummer Jonas Kardyb and his recent vinyl release Svaneborg Kardyb and titled - Over Tage - on Gondwana Records and my favourite LP release from last year.
I haven't met a Makaya McCraven record that isn't great yet. I just got in a copy of Deciphering the Message, a "remix" project sourcing from Blue Note records from the 50s and 60s. It's so good!
I really dig his music and especially Universal Beings. I recommend you check out London Brew, an improvised album inspired by Bitches Brew with many of the artists on Universal Beings
I listen mainly to 2 channel, but have added center & surrounds for the occasional movie & multichannel SACD. Has anyone setup your speakers in such a system? If so, I'd love to see pictures. I'm planning to retire my old speakers. They were rated Class A by Stereophile, but that was in 1995.
@@DeVOREFIDELITY it's really lovely. it catched my attention as in the video it looked like a retro illuminated dial, but it was clearly not a smartwatch. I see it's no longer available, but the U1 S with the same dial is. thank you for the answer and for those record reviews, consider yourself responsible for most of my growing vinyl!

That's a Sinn U50 they made a couple years ago in black with a mother of pearl dial.
