Your engagement story sounds quite similar to mine. ❣️ We had been together for 7 years. I was going on an expensive med, I needed his insurance which was better than mine. Six weeks later, we were married. Unfortunately, when I told people we were getting married ... My mom told me "you're not really engaged" ... I'm like well we're getting married so I don't know what to tell you 😂 the fact there was not a proposal really threw people off. I think it's kind of outdated waiting for the man to decide your worthy of marriage. But to each their own. I do wish I had that moment though of surprise ... But such is life 🤷♀️ We've been married for 12 years now. So I guess it worked out
We got my Rosiland in 2018 when we were discussing rings. I showed my boyfriend a photo of the gray Rosiland & he was like ok, let's order it! One thing to remember about Kristin's white gold is that she doesn't rhodium plate them, so they have a slight champagne tinge to it. It's absolutely beautiful & Kristin is such a sweet & wonderful person to work with! I hope to own another of her pieces in the future!
@EshiJay I was married when I was in my early 20's, so I had a diamond ring. I had it melted down & made a new ring & a pair of earring from it. I was getting ready to ask my Grandma if we could have her ring, since it was to be mine, bit 2 men robbed her of her vintage emerald cut diamond ring. She was so upset that I wouldn't be getting it. I told her that I'm just glad that they didn't hurt her or worse. I told her I was just grateful to have her wedding band that she had gifted me when I turned 16. She passed on Halloween 2019. I miss her dearly. The main reason I went with the Rosiland was to pay homage to her emerald cut ring, but something more modern & different if that makes sense. I'm so glad that you are loving your ring too! They are seriously so beautiful! And it's so amazing how it does change color depending on the lighting.
I’ve been following Kristin’s Instagram for years and always dreamed of having one of her designs. I saw your post on her page and saw you are in Detroit, my boyfriend and I are too! We just ordered the Reyna with the grey moissanite. Can’t wait to get it😍🤩 your ring is beautiful! Congrats!!
Omg what a coincidence, that's amazing!! I'm sure you'll love your ring, the Reyna is so beautiful 😍. And thank you so much 🥰, hit me up on insta if you're ever downtown!
I LOVE your friends’ reactions!! I love your ring. I’m trying to decide on a ring style and I keep flip flopping. Hope I find THE ONE but your video has helped so much 🖤
I bought a sparkly white 2.5 carat round lab diamond from an online seller and brought it to a local jewelry who put it in a yellow gold hidden halo setting for the same price u paid for your ring. Moissanites are not always the cheaper option.
@@EshiJay Thank you! I owe it all to you for helping me find this ring. I watched your other video and was convinced that I needed to get her a ring like yours lol. Wish you and your family the best of health, wealth and success.
Absolutely love your 💍!!! I was looking at Kristin Coffin as well but me and my fiancé decided on True Gem. I as well as you wanted a step cut stone too. Mine is a 9×7 emerald cut moissanite center with 1ct lab grown diamonds set in 18k yellow gold and I absolutely love my ring and the fact that it is ethically made and supports a small company!!!
Love love love!!! The most fitting proposal ever for the two of you. Definitely want to see more engagement/wedding content (on here and in real life 😉)
I really enjoyed this video! Came across it looking at videos on moissanite rings as I’m looking to upgrade mine to one. My husband & I have a similar story. We were together 8 years before we got married. Neither of us 100% believed in the concept of marriage either. One night I happened to mention that he could be on my insurance at work (which was cheaper than his job’s) if we were married. He was like “really? Let’s get married then” and the rest is history hahaha!
damn I was thinking of getting a lab grown diamond for my main stone BUT I FELL IN LOVE WITH THAT GREY MOISSANITE now I'm confused and on Kristin's website lol
Yeah sorry about that I don't have Instagram but you know what I respect totally the fact that you would rather choose a gemstone other than a blood diamond I feel the same way as you do and what I saw your ring initially I had to take a breath cuz I lost the one that I did at initially have it was so vintage and so beautiful oh my goodness you made the perfect choice and you know what you I love your personality and doing these videos I can watch your video all day I've watched other ladies talk about their engagement rings and not to be rude but they're kind of boring or lackluster but you have a personality that just jumps out I see why your fiance propose to you love your videos girl and like I said many healthy happy years to you both..
Lab grown stones are not earth friendly, given the amount of harmful chemicals needed to grow that stone. They are simply more ethical. You're correct. Diamonds are not the way to go. I love my Zambian emerald!!!!! I would love a teal color moissanite!
What's crazy is that on a quick search most the first results are still implying that moissanite is a simulant that's intended to mimic diamonds, thus it's trash. Just goes to show how deep seeded that diamond brainwashing has gone, they just won't let something else be anything other than a CZ by a different name, when moissanite are absolutely their own thing
Congratulations 🎉. Paying half for my engagement ring...um no. My husband paid for my rings and I paid for his. With that being said, if it works for you and yours, enjoy every minute 🌹🌷💐
i luv ur ring , i think it,s awesome, , i luv lab diamonds to , ive never had a moissanite yet? i luv the dark grey u have n the accher cut , congrats to u both
Oh my goodness this is a lot of things but boring and lackluster were not one of them I was entertained I'm in tears right now it was so romantic and I love your personality oh my goodness I can watch you forever girl you should be on TV but anyway congratulations I don't think I said that before but yeah and yes I would love to follow you and thank you for sharing your wonderful personality with us oh my goodness I can watch you for days you should be on TV
Jeez, you got taken to the cleaners on price. I respect the hustle of the jeweller on this one, they obviously pulled every marketing trick they could to inflate the price that much. Please tell me the platinum weighs at least 2/3 of an ounce (which I highly doubt) because that’s how much platinum you should get for $600usd. It’s far cheaper than gold per ounce.
I only see it as a gift honestly. The lifelong commitment is the actual work you do everyday to make the relationship work and to love your partner. The ring is just a nice little cherry on top 😂
I have a moissanite as well and love it. I refuse to have my husband pay ridiculous amount of money for a cloudy diamond. To be honest, the diamonds are all overpriced. I rather take that money for a down payment for a house.
Fair question 😂. First off, I'm just a weirdo and hate mushy stuff, so that's on me 😂😂. It's also similar to how I feel about "fiance". I've been with my bf for 10yrs, it just weirds me out to say we're "engaged" or that he's my "fiance", as if that makes him more important now. We're still the same, nothing has really changed, and my relationship is just as important to me as it was 9 years ago, with or without a ring/plans of marriage. I also don't fully believe in the concept of marriage, so I think that also has to do with it. When other people say it, it seems to flow better and I never think it's weird. So tbh it's just a me thing 😂.
@@EshiJay haha very interesting! 😂 I’ve heard of people not liking “fiancé” but never really got why, this makes a lot of sense! Beautiful ring btw! :)

40th anniversary?! Amazing 🤩

Just bought the Celeste aqua teal pear cut halo for my soon to be fiancé! I’m very excited to see her reaction.
