Live arena sucks so bad , when you are not good at PVP and don't know what every champ in the game does it's boring as hell losing every fight until you get the free pass every 3 losses or what ever .
It's not that I can't do it, it's because it feels so slow (people taking their time or stalling). And because there's no proper match making, while bronze is full of 90+ lvl level accounts who also love to ban my arbiter and outspeed my 300 speed kimi, without even using speed aura themselves. Some times even they don't ban arbiter and use 19% aura/no aura and still outspeed my arbiter at 340 speed. Basically, it's no fun.
Here's my take, MtgJedi......this is a game, and games should be fun. How do I reconcile the idea of spending LARGE amounts of my game time on content that is NOT fun? I have an extremely finite resource in terms of my time, and spending it in a game mode that is simply awful is a non-starter for me. Right now I have two areas I need to progress in order to get Ramantu and Marius. Those 2 areas are 3v3 and Live Arena. They both make me wanna quit the game, not progress in the game. Barely out of bronze LA, haven't played LA in approx 6 months, been playing for 3 years.
F2P player here. Will be getting Quintus in the next couple of weeks. You don't need to spend a lot of time with live arena. Simple setup: 2 speed leads, 2 nukers 1 drop def. If they start, you leave straight away. You'll be done with all your 10 games in under 15 min.
F2P player here, just got Quintus last week. You got it right when you say you can't be attached to winning all the time. I have a %54 win rate and could still do bursts of 50points of climbing in one session if I used all my refills.
I really wanted to thank you for this video. As I have stated before, I am only 7 months playing so still progressing my account and champions. I am really not a big pvp player, so have not even touched Live Arena yet because I didn't want to be discouraged. You have me hope to have a little fun, when I have time for Live Arena
I used to play live arena everyday, it was very painful to climb the ranks and slowly get the fragments. Then they released Armanz and ruined the whole point of the ban part because if you don't ban him you instantly lose, you are forced to ignore combos like Taras+Marichka and just ban him every time.
It's slow and i encounter people that make it purposefully slow by dragging it out as much as they can several battles whenever I play this mode. Limited time windows are during work and then in the middle of the evening when you should be with your family. I try to do it some on weekends, but normally only do 5 battles due to toxic players dragging out picking. Progress is incredibly slow unless you are running relatively OP teams, I sit in mid Gold 5 Classic no problem, can't make headway in LA because I only have about 6 "arena" champs built.
Silver 4 - just started doing it 3 months ago. It has greatly improved my Hydra damage. I always wondered how the FTP content creators got so many primal shards built up before doing live arena myself. I'm only putting bonuses into Hydra, Fire Knight, and Sand Devil
Totally agree and its area I neglect, mostly due to scheduling is not friendly to when im online playing. Currently in bottom of Silver 2 as made a push to progress early on but couldnt keep up with it. Only play maybe once a week for a few battles.
When it comes to marius missions. You only really need think about getting to silver 1 for proberly quite a while as it open up progression to part 2 mission 51. Getting 4 mythical chestplates. You might be lucky to get them fast or you can get stuck for a month or more if you are not
Live arena is one of the games worst modes to play. its slow. it takes too long, you can fight people who don't take their turns, it takes forever to play and its boring if you go up against a team of just 5 healers/shielders who do no damage. The best way to play it is to quit out 3 times as fast as possible, fight a bot on the forth that you can auto while AFK and repeat.
Level 97 here basically F2P and I'm almost to Quintus. 10 battles a day gets you Impulse gear which is a better speed set, primals shards, and incredible good upgrades. I have a 50% win rate. Just do it and it will help you grow
I'll be honest and say live arena is like a chore I hate doing. I do try to get it done when I see its open, but it often doesnt align with my schedule
100% F2P, 11 months in, I'm 100 pts away from Quintus 😊 Started Live arena about 5 or 6 months ago. Those that say it's only for whales are wrong. You just have to be patient and not care when you lose. My win rate is actually a bit below 50% and I'm still climbing. When I do get Quintus, It will certainly be a lot harder, or even impossible for me to compete vs spenders but like MTG said I'll have the champion and tons of rewards. Of course if you hate the game mode, it can be a grind to do all your coins every day.
we know its important, but because they do not have "Safe" zones where higher level accounts cannot fall below a certain level, it means constantly coming up against terrible matchups. as a level 90+ ftp player myself i can be against a level 60 one match then a level 100 the next. nobody my account level should be lower than gold unless they haven't played the game mode before. I've been in gold 1 several times but immediately get kicked out and fall back to silver, and then get matched with other crazy teams, fall further then have to fight my way back up. also it just takes too long compared to regular arena. they also need to open the mode more often. Finally just have 1 currency so if you're in bronze silver or gold you can always progress the great hall! regular arena (and tag limiting access to shop based on rank) could also use this change but it's less critical there as 1 man def is fairly prevalent, but that won't be a thing in live arena. if you're not that great at arena and enjoy the PVE part of the game it really sucks feeling like your PVE progress is locked behind a PVP door.
I hate live arena, with a passion. Win, lose, doesn't matter. It's too slow, the match making is horrendous. I'm 4 years in, level 100, and I get matched with level 54-58 players, often. The chests are far too infrequent, and it's boring picking the same team over and over again, because people just choose their best champions. I'm only doing it to get Marius, and I've been trying to get Impulse boots for 3 months. I'm in silver 3, and I'm trying to stay there until I get the boots. 30 pieces of Impulse I have, and no boots.
You should take lvl 60 account in the first place, with one arbiter which will be banned all the time, and losing 70% of your battles straight after banning phase. This is BS for Free to play accounts: why would you spend your time on things you get disappointed to bring more dissatisfaction
1st battle you doing is actually the reason why none playing live arena. As a F2p is a pure hope to play against a guy without any good heroes.. Or its mythical&co really fun as a f2p :)
I think cursed city is more important. That's where the best dmg gear is, there's tons of resources and getting more remenant shards there too. I have prioritized speed first but don't disagree with the list.
You asked- I have no interest in live arena content. I do it daily but get no enjoyment out of it. Much rather would like content on faction war strategies, cursed city and how to build an account towards being able to complete normal, and critical characters for doom tower special rooms
A lot of people in my clan like to sit in silver 4. They just leave 3 battles in a row then beat the bot team that’s guaranteed to show up after 3 losses in. Row. Then repeat. They don’t want to get in gold because their teams aren’t good enough to compete. Personally I’m gold 4 and have a lot of fun. It’s not as hard as people think it is to go through the ranks. A lot of people have no idea what they’re doing and they just pick a bunch of “op” champs with no synergy.
You realize you were kind of saved by fortus ? lol he is the only void I’ve pulled he fears everyone and heals/sleeps himself if someone hits him with a kill shot…maybe you made the right decision picking him
I know it is important...but I have no damn time. How about they reduce the time where you don't have to literally treat the game as something that is WORSE than a job ... because you literally have to be online almost 8-12 hours a day to progress in the game.
I think there is definitely a good niche for you to cover live arena. Most of the CCs doing live arena are doing it from a Kraken/Whale perspective whereas your video is about making it more accessible. Your coverage is a very different thing. Your content is much more relatable for people thinking about getting into it. It is a PTW game mode, but as you noted that doesn’t mean you can’t get a lot of very significant rewards ftp or low spend.

@@MtgJedi I am free to play but a looky one, I dont have mikage but i have siegfried and gizmak, fusions like Armanz, pythion, queen Ankora I did their fusion and I pull Narses from one void shard so much luck there, I pull Lilitu, i have Gnishak I have good bombers, I dont have marius he is so good I am on the way doing his tasks, plus I know the habilitys for almost every champ in the arena game, I know what they do, and i know how take them down, it dosent work any time but come on you cant win all battles.
@@clarocomoelagua1 I am free to play, that is not my only one champion, you cant use siegfried vs UDK or Harima or Rotos, you need to put him with others champions or use other nuker, plus you need a cleaner for bombs, poisons, and Hp burn, you cant use Gizmak VS Marishka just alone you need remove or steal the Block damage buff, I have Sun wukong and mighty Ukko for do that, VS Taras and Marishka I have Ankora and Narses but its normal that your enemy Block some of them.
with all due respect, first all those bonuses shouldn't be attached to live arena, specially cuz they don't even relate, you should earn tokens for every area base on your performance on that area,like every single game that I play so far,force players to play a mode to progress in others is the worst feeling ever,nothing surprises went u talking about plarium
I simply dnt like the game mode, the end. Most of the times the game mode is open at weird times for me. And other then that i play 4 accounts. I simply can't find myself playing a game mode where people stall battles and make it so that you spend hours a day in a mode you dnt even like. At this moment for example i got home 4pm from work the game mode was not open, its currently 7pm my time, the game mode opens in 3 hours at 10pm and i have to work tomorrow so i'm unable to really play the game mode unless i have to wait untill 10pm to even begin.
Honestly though. For being a full time content creator with a 40 mil pp account. You need to be higher in live arena. It’s bad actually. You have lots of time now. No excuses!
As for me, RTA is not so important, all pve activities i do without area bonuses from rta, even hydra weekly 1,2b total score and fire knight hard. Only one reason to play rta - Marius mission. And just for fun. Without fun you should not do it at all..

Even less of a reason then ever to do live arena ya the bonuses are nice but not necessary and with the hydra nerf quintes becomes obsolete so like why even bother anymore the hydra nerf ruined the game. And my clan is 2 sieges from the void lego and once we have her what becomes the point

Live arena is one of the worst content ingame. Players haul out the time, super anyoing. Also it is so unbalanced, not to mention when ckimbed a bit and cant play for a weeks then plarium fck you over and dump your ranking. I am hard stuck in silver 2 thanks to plariums rank drop for people who cant play everyday.

Having Quintus is cool, but its mostly just a collector item.
Live arena is Game Mode which we didnt. The glory hole moment you can do any points. I have not done any before, now or in the future.

Gold LA is infinitely better than the lower tiers. Mainly due to only one copy of a champ allowed. This should be the same in the lower tiers.

FTP for 2 years, nearly at Gold 2. No matter how much I improve my team I always get 50 percent win rate.
More info on when the bots come would be good. Like if you loose 2 or 3 in a row do they give you an easy fight? Does anyone know for sure?

All the daily & advance everyday, arena, and live arena takes up way too much time. Literally a part time job to keep up with everything
I am in silver 3 with a 50% win rate. I run my fastest champs and if I win the speed race I usually win, If I don't it is over quick.

I actually love live arena, i am gold 4, and my player ranking is 1600, my win ratio is good, I love the red quarz too.
