He didnt mention some stuff that screams bounty very loudly to me like, he is close with the rulers of alabasta and the captain of franky, the people you can link to pluton, if any "enemy" troublemaker has a shot to control it its him, thats two ancient weapons.
Nico Robin, the one person who can get to laugh tale and discover what they want to hide the most is part of his crew. Not even Dragon is so dangerous to the WG at this point.
A weak peasant with a gun could kill a Celestial Dragon. It’s been established that they are physically average or even below average humans. Attacking one often means you are sentenced to death but it doesn’t mean you are suddenly as dangerous as someone who could topple Enies Lobby.

It was stated from Jinbei that once a pirate reaches the 300 million cap, it's really hard to increase it from there, so I think that Oda gave Luffy 1.5 billion in WCI precisely to compensate the fact that the WG never acknowledged all of Luffy's accomplishments. But that's just my take.

I know Choppers bounty is a running joke, but what would his bounty be if the same criteria was used? If the World Government knew if his accomplishments. Helping defeat CP9, his monster point transformation, defeating Gadatsu, etc.
It would be 300 million berries in addition to his phenomenal doctor skills and his discovery of rumble ball.
I don't think his bounty would be above 100 million. He defeated Gedatsu and Kumadori, but hasn't done anything past Enies Lobby to merit infamy. I would place him at 70 million, just above Nami, but below Franky and Brook.

Also, I think, what Sanji after Enies Lobby should have 114,000,000 Bounty, because 1. he's good tactic, and rsponsible for saving the crew during Rain Base Arc and Buster Call 2. Pretty much equal to Zoro in terms of power and leadership
Nami should get upped bounty for her greatest Navigator abilities in the world too, since she responsible for saving the crew many times, and her value for crew is more important than Zoro or Sanji.
And speaking of navigating, the only persone, who can practically lead the ship without Nami is Franky, who also kows the blueprints of the Pluton. His bounty after Enies Lobby should be not less than 88,000,000 (two times bigger than his canon bounty after Enies Lobby)
Probably around the same level as Franky, I see Chopper being just below the 100,000,000 mark. 85-90,000,000 seems right.
This should be a whole series because the whole crew’s bounties are hilariously low for them

I dont see it being as interesting with it being the whole crew. Like there's a lot to talk about with Luffy but some of them wouldn't even cut the 10 minute mark without fluff. But with Robin, Zoro, and Sanji,maybe they can make a pass

You didn't mention that Luffy's crew has read several poneglyphs including 2 Road Poneglyphs. Essentially meaning that he is halfway there to becoming the pirate king. I'm sure that the world government would raise his bounty by quite a lot if they knew he was that close to becoming the next pirate king.
Plus you made no mention of how he us allied with several territories across the grand line. Zou, Fishman Island, Dressrosa, Alabasta, take your pick. It signifies that he has his own territories under his protection just like all the other Yonko, and Zou especially is filled with very skilled fighters that can go sulong. These 2 things should put make Luffy's bounty much higher than previously thought.

It was very much a compromise. They recognized his presence at the event and his contributions to disrupting Crocodile but ultimately gave the final win to Smoker

Yeah he got 400 mil bounty after he beat Moria and punch celestial dragon and I’m pretty sure they mentioned it in fish man island arc I think that after punching celestial dragon and beating Moria should be more than 100 mil increase. This is just my opinion tho

I think another good reason to increase his bounty, which was left out, was the fact another Warlord, that being Boa Hancock, has fallen in love with him. And as we saw in Marineford, she was more than willing to attack marines like Smoker to protect Luffy. As she's considered the most beautiful pirate in the world and her Mero Mero no Mi basically makes her OP against almost every other male, this definitely should increase his threat level as we've seen Hancock reduce an entire marine crew to stone because they lusted for her so much. It might not give him the same increase as he might get from defeating a Warlord but considering that he has one as a loyal ally would make his threat level go up at least to some extent in my book.
And given that Robin's original bounty was placed on her head cause she can read the Poneglyphs, I think merely having her in his crew should increase it as well though potentially not by much as it's not he that can read them, but having someone who the World Government fears can re awaken ancient weapons under your command should be a bit more terrifying than I think the World Government realizes.
If Franky had memorized the blueprints for one of the ancient weapons before burning them, it's possible too that might lead to an increase, definitely for Franky but maybe for Luffy, for much the same reason as previously mentioned with Robin. He's got direct subordinates that could find, awaken and build ancient weapons, along with being friends with one.
Granted, Luffy has no intentions of doing this but imagine how much the world would be shitting their pants if they realized that if Luffy ever so did choose, he could potentially obtain all the ancient weapons under his command. It's speculative of course regarding Pluton but still.
Imagine when he defeats kaido, frees the country of wano, and comes out with the victory in the war agains kaido and big mom with the help of 4 supernova captains.
They're gonna know EXACTLY how much of a threat that man is after Wano surely
@@do7153 especially if you are fully caught up with the manga, it’s clear that chapter 1000+ luffy with gear 4th ryuo has reached the gateway to admiral tier and could push anyone of the lower tier admirals to a high diff fight. The moment he can use gear 4th with no time limit he will be solidly admiral tier and probably a match for the most powerful of the admirals (the original trio) with a devil fruit awakening.
Every supernova involved in the yonko’s down fall will at least be in the 1B tier, with law and kid in the 2B range. Luffy will probably be in the 3.5-4B tier by the end of this for sure, especially if the whiteboard pirates join his grand fleet and wano falls under his control. I can’t wait.

@@emmangenta nah not possible. Not even the pirate king can one shot a yonko. Everyone of the top tiers like yonkos and admirals require at the minimum a few hours to be put down for good.

Not really how it works. Attacking Celestial Dragons often bypasses the bounty system entirely and has them call in an Admiral directly. The celestial dragons themselves are physically pathetic so being able to harm them doesn't prove someone is super strong and they aren't somehow a bigger threat to the government for doing so either.
@@Shoddragon I disagree, none of the other Supernovas were willing to risk open conflict with the WG by attacking a Celestial Dragon. The fact Luffy proved he would recklessly attack the Celestial Dragons if given an opportunity absolutely proves he's a bigger threat to the government directly than the other pirates on Saboady. It's the same logic that made Dragon the most wanted man in the world, we dont actually know of any significant accomplishments he's made against the WG, but simply being the leader of an organisation that wants to take them down justifies the spot of highest bounty in our eyes.

They didn't refuse to attack Celestial dragons for fear of conflict with the WG. They refused because attacking Celestial Dragons means an ADMIRAL will be dispatched immediately and they would be killed outright or captured. Kizaru showed up to Sabaody within a matter of minutes. As we have been shown, Celestial Dragons bypass the bounty system entirely since they can directly order an Admiral to the scene.
As for Dragon...... no lmfao. Dragon is the world's most wanted man because he's leading a direct war against the world government and trying to turn countries against it as well. Not because he attacked a Celestial Dragon or something.
Bounties generally represent a mixture of power, influence, threat to civilians and threat to the government. Attacking a Celestial Dragon doesn't really represent any of those as people who do are near instantly terminated.
@@Shoddragon That's exactly what I said, the fact that Luffy is willing to attack the Celestial Dragons at the very top of the World Government regardless of the consequences makes him a threat. The other Supernovas were logical and were cowed by the threat of violence from an Admiral, that makes them more predictable and less dangerous.
Dragon is most wanted because he's directly opposing the world government, I dont know why we both needed to repeat the same thing but there we go 3rd time's the charm. When Luffy punches a Celestial Dragon he is directly opposing the world government, when Luffy gets his crew to shoot down a flag he's directly opposing the world government. These things are worthy of increasing a bounty, other people in Luffy's generation dont do these kinds of things.
Luffy *wasnt* successfully terminated for doing something so serious it instantly summons an Admiral. Whatever the circumstances he committed one of the worst crimes you can commit to the WG and got away with it, that warrants a bounty increase.

Can you do one of these for all the strawhats, especially Sanji. I feel like his exploits tend to go unnoticed a lot in many arcs and I'd also like to see what you'd come up with.
True, he does a lot of important stuff behind the scenes.
I think Oda deliberately puts Sanji in that 'Invisible' position because he decided that that was Sanji's theme. His main job in strawhats is literally in the back kitchen, he sneakily close the Gates of Justice without anyone's noticing saving the Strawhats at Enies Lobby, he's the (quite cruelly) hidden child of Vinsmoke, and heck, his Raid Suit power is invisibility. I'm sure there are even a lot of more that I have not mention.

@@eyeshieldsena Yeah, Oda definitely does it on purpose so Sanji remains low key and hidden, even with him not having an accurate bounty picture this whole time until the Germa started looking for him after dressrosa. It is because of Sanji's ability to be so low key that it would be intetesting to see just how high his bounty could get if everything he did was accounted for.
Also I just noticed while typing this but Zoro is known for having a huge aura that attracts strong opponents and bring a lot of attention to him and it gets amplified by the cursed swords he gets while in comparison you could say Sanji has a negative aura which prevents him from being noticed by anyone and gets amplified by his new raid suit.
You forgot to mention that Arlong's bounty was kept lower due to him bribing the local marines. So maybe if Arlong's "real bounty" was higher than 30 million (we wouldn't know), Luffy could have gotten a bigger initial bounty in East Blue.
When I first started watching, I thought the idea of a 3.3 billion bounty was insane. However, you laid out a solid argument and if you consider not using bounties as an exact power-level scale, it makes perfect sense.

10% of the Kings in The Reverie are alies of Luffy. He alread have two Road Phonegliphs. He have 3 to 5 ex-shichibukai friends or loyal to him. I would say 4.000.000.000B.
4 billion puts him at the level of shanks who has been an emperor for 6 years and close to kaido and big mom who have been yonko for decades. That's a bit much.
But does that much warrant another 700 million to his name?
The thing is, we really needs to knows what Shanks is capable to do, to undertanding why his 4B. Because until now he dont show to have territory or army, only information and raw power.
@@arthurwerneck4150 he knows where the one piece is. He was on Roger's crew. He mustve done some insane things because his crew is the most balanced where everyone on there is infamous one way or another. Every one of his top commanders are probably in the high 1 billions with beckmann being in the 2 billions. He has alot of info. He also has giant amounts of influence. He isnt even particularly aggressive which is why he hasn't surpassed the other yonkos yet. The 4 billion range is insane for anyone which is why I seriously doubt luffy is in the 4 billions, even hypothetically.
I also dont agree with tripling his bounty for whole cake island. At most I'd say he would have it doubled to about 2.2-2.5 billion. Think about the crazy stuff blackbeard pulled off at marineford only to get a 2.2 billion berry bounty. The whole cake island thing in comparison was on a smaller scale because it was an infiltration rather than a full out attack like marineford was. Sure he beat katakuri but he couldn't badly damage big mom at all.
But with everything you said, I'd give luffy just about 3B, not the 4B like you said. He'd deserve 4B after wano is fully complete and he has all 4 poneglyphs and kaido falls. If big mom falls with kaido while there, and he gains the entire remnants of the whitebeard pirates, and takes wano for himself, then he'd deserve a bounty around kaido (maybe 4.5 billion).

Don Krieg has poison gas weapons which could wipe out a whole town, Arlong shot a well respected marine and sank a ship of marines, and Buggy destroyed an entire village that could have killed everyone in it, yet all of them put together didn’t exceed 50 million. After seeing Kaido's, Big Moms, and Shanks' bounties as well as Gol D. Rogers bounty of 5,564,800,000 I think there's reason to believe Luffy's bounty will eventually be 5,600,000,000 for Gomu. Just like Lucy's entry number into the colosseum was 0556.
It will probably be 5, 6 Billion for the GoMu represnets 56 in japanese = His devil fruit and Roger had 5,564,800,000 berries so he would surpass Gold Roger. And when he takes down the World Goverment they wont be able to make his Bounty go Higher!

Those who say that only take power levels to account, not the accomplishments, because they see these numbers and they compare Luffy with people that from a power level stand point shouldn't even be in the same conversation as Luffy, that's why there is this misconception.

It's not about feats and strength. It's more about threatening and being more dangerous to the WG.

Basically because nobody knows the extent of that power and the unknown is always scary. He could just as well be able to steal all DFs and become anime Jesus, we don't really know (most likely not lol). I actually think BB's bounty should be higher than 3.5B or something like that.

Facts. But it's unlikely that he'll eat more DFs. I mean he already fought Marco who's df is stated to be better than a logia. I think he's waiting for a chance to get Kaido's df or he simply can't get more than 2 dfs. But still, the ability to extract dfs from anyone is definitely a major threat and needs more recognition. Imagine the BB pirates ganging up against Fujitora or Kizaru. Sure they will lose some members and it would be an extremely hard battle but getting such powerful dfs is definitely worth it.

You’re missing things like having Hancock and Jimbei(former warlords) under his control, amounting to more than half the warlords either being defeated by Luffy, commanded by Luffy, or in some occasions, being defeated and commanded by him.
And also what about Luffy having support from Fishman Island, Alabasta and Dressrosa. The world government might not know every detail of it (like how princess Vivi was a part of the straw hats) but they should surely be aware that all these kingdoms kind of owe Luffy for helping their nations.

He didn't defeat strong oponets yet and when l say strong l mean 3rd comander level and above.
He did got defeated by some peoples like mihawk, enel, kuma, kizaru, cool yeti brothers etc but it doesn't matter.
And zoro bounty was less high if he wasn't at luffy crew cuz' oda say that the crewmates bounty efect by the capitain bounty.
But the bounty doesn't say much about power its about the danger the man have on the world govermant and you can see that luffy after marineford had 400M bounty while zoro in wano have 320M and if it was about power zoro would have higher bounty but it doesn't work like that.
So if it was aboit power l think zoro would have between 500M to 700M bounty if he's bounty wasn't boost by luffy bounty.

I always thought that Oda did that so it makes sense when Luffy actually surprises the world and feeds more into the hype when his bounty raises past his op opponent.
Like right now, his bounty puts his threat level towards a Yonko at slightly over commander level but in the end, he'll overcome the Yonko and shake the world.
It's almost like Luffy is indirectly treated like the Warlords where their bounty freezes and does not rise once they join and so their actual threat levels as time goes on are lost eg. crocodile and Mihawk.

Very cool idea for a video GLR! I am interested to hear your opinion on the following. You stated that the increase of 200m after Ennies Lobby was a pretty drastic measure to signify that Luffy was a much greater threat than previously thought. However I would argue that it's actually a rather underwhelming increase because:
1. Enies Lobby is one of three major Marine strongholds with gates leading to Impel down and the marine headquarters and functioning as the base of CP9. It is not just any marine held island, it is more important both in symbolism as well as strategic positioning.
2. Luffy 'survived' the buster call. I guess it would be more accurate to state he escaped it but either way; the buster call is an extreme military action and the weight of a buster call cannot be overstated. Last buster call was to destroy Ohara because their knowledge on the void century threatened the stability of the world. So surviving a buster call is not to be taken lightly.
3. When Sogeking burned the flag of the marines Luffy declared war on the world government, something that not many pirates would even think of doing. Even those with bounties far higher that 300m.
Also it's interesting to compare the 300m berries bounty Luffy had post Enies Lobby to others with similar bounties. For example would Kidd in Sabaody (315m) really be as great a threat as the man who invaded (and destroyed, although that was more the buster call) Enies Lobby. Or do you think the world government will dedicate the same resources and caution to Cavendish (330m)?
For these reasons I feel the increase after Enies lobby should've been even larger. What do you think?
I like this theoretical bounty discussion. It's fun to discuss and I think makes the fact the world government is in control of the bounty system more interesting on reflection.

The WG see Luffy wearing this hat that Shanks used to wear, that Roger used to wear (we know how good the WG is at gathering info, they'd know this) and that resembles the great treasure of Mariejois and whatever significance that has, and who has a "D" in their name, and they just give him a regular bounty? I think you're forgetting a few things namely the fact that luffy already knew where a ancient weapon was at the end of alabaster. Given that shouldn't his bounty be like 500,000 after alabaster especially since he is the sole person who knows it after the blueprints are destroyed during water 7 arc. In addition to that your forgetting that luffy has found 2 road ponyglyphs more than any emperor and as such is the closest to reaching laughtale. Pretty sure the world government wouldn't just ignore that if they knew it.

And as to how many he defeated is also somewhat of a fuzzy number. (At least that is what I assume you meant.) He did beat Buggy before he gained Warlord status. And one might argue that he beat Boa Hancock even if not by muscle/haki power both privately in her bathroom and publically on the battlefield of Marineford. So that number is somewhere between 3 and 5.

Afterwards in the privacy of the arena on the isle of women, he beat the crap out of her commanders/sister and than made her surrender with his big heart or whatever. Since that incedent was likely not talked about by anyone later on, I do consider it privately.

I mean, Oden was one of the strongest fighters the world have ever seen, he was a living legend, part of the Whitebeard & Roger pirates and he was also one shotted by Kaido.
He was deceived, yes, but as soon as Kaido landed a clean hit, he was done for.
Kaido is like the top damage dealer on a single blunt attack we have seen in the series so far.
This video confirmed something me and my friend do. We have been creating our own universe within the One Piece universe, and the main charechter we have has a huge bounty. We were thinking is this this to high considering luffy's bounty but that cleared it up for me Tysm!
