Add a slightly longer hose to the cold air out opening. Also add another smaller fan at the end of the hose so you can direct the cold air a bit easier. The extra fan helps the cold air move through the tube much better than just the one fan at least.

Yes it is sad to see the poor areas where the people are less fortunate, but those are the people who are enriched with family and love, more so than most. It wouldn’t be proper to only show the beauty, besides that’s not what we are here for. We are here for the culture, the people, the food and the real experience. We hope you are right about our channel we love connecting with people all over the world 🙏🏻 ❤
Glad you found your way to some cooler elevation! That bridge looked pretty amazing -- almost out of place for where it is. I would have wanted to stop there for awhile just to cool down if it's safe. Lot of those roads looked quite decent too. Can't wait to see more of Mascota... Cheers!...from North Vancouver PS -- I spent $3K getting the AC in my "new to me" 2012 Sorento fixed because I'm very much like AuBrey that way, and have never had AC in a vehicle before -- wasn't going to road trip long term without it. Don't feel so bad about that now...
Things are looking up for the barely squeakin’ by crew. Higher elevations plus sporadic rainstorms equals cooler temperatures 🎉😍 plus we got the back up AC cooler for those hot days in between. A properly functioning air-conditioning is definitely nice to have in your vehicle when traveling. The upgrade will serve you well. Cheers Adrian 🇲🇽
As a teenager with my first car that had no AC, I decided to make one. As far as I can see my iinitial design was probably like yours, air blowing across ice. When I found it somewhat lacking in performance I embarked on making improvements to my new invention. I utilized a pump to push the ice cooled water in the bottom of the cooler through a salvage heater core which was mounted on the wall of the cooler where a hole had been cut to fit it. The result was much cooler air (still not as much as a car AC), but nice while it was blowing on you. The downside was it melted ice way too fast. I couldn't afford to run it.
Try adding a few blocks of ice, then add water to where it’s near three quarters full and mix in a cup of salt. (This will create colder air in the ice chest and also you can use an ice chest that is a little smaller so it doesn’t take up too much space) Also have a small fan next to where the cold air releases so it can circulate that cold air. Also make sure you put your windshield cover up to block the hot sun rays from entering the front side of your RV. I have watch a few videos that have shown those steps can keep you cooler in a small space. 🥵😎 🧊👍🏻
Thanks for the advice Cody. We are usually pretty good about blocking the windows in our van that does make a difference. It’s a little harder to find blocks of ice in Mexico but we are looking. Adding a second fan is a great idea thank you 🙏🏻
@@Cleo_and_Mark I’m sure there are some DC air conditioning units that would work well we just did not want to spend a few thousand dollars on one. We may regret that decision later 🤷
just like a house try to keep the sun out ,close blinds, curtains anything you can, the a/c won't have to work so hard. Glad to her you are planning to recycle the water. Did you open the reflectix some for the video or do you normally leave windows uncovered?? If parked put up sheets outside on both side attached to the top(magnets, binder clips any kind of help to hold them down) leave air space but keep the sun off, anchor on bottom with rocks or any weight you can, any shade you can give yourselves helps.

Hey Gator happy Sunday! AC is key in these southern latitudes. We didn’t realize how crucial until we got here. Now we are just Barely Squeakin By with a homemade unit. @@BarelySqueakinBy Well, that is one of many reasons I'm watching you guys, to see what is the same and what has changed. So far, things seems to be quite similar to how it was.
