On my third watch of this (3x this morning). At my wit's end with lies, betrayal, and undermining of a friend and a family member. I could melt their ears off right now with my "Enough is enough" speech. But first thing this morning God put this message in front of me. So grateful. But might have to watch it 3 more times. Pastor Bobby, I’ve done all the basic things you suggested in this video. I’ve walked away from the homosexual lifestyle, I’ve ran to the lord and he’s changed my life. He’s healed me from so much, but how does one stop the thoughts from the past? How does one stop the dreams that happen that remind you of your past? I’ve ran to his word and studied it constantly! I’ve done EVERYTHING you’ve suggested and yet thoughts still pop into my head and I fight against them constantly! This constant battle is so draining, these dreams of the mistake from my past haunt me! How does one fight so hard against the flesh and the mind and scoured the Bible for answers, yet my dreams still haunt me? How come God doesn’t take these thoughts away? He’s renewed my mind and I fight with every ounce of my being, yet the devil still attacks me constantly. I feel like the only answer is for God to take me home to finally fix this sin in my life. He can heal me once I’m off this earth, and this thoughts will be gone, yet I’m still here being tortured everyday and night fighting against this stupid flesh body. I’ve fled the sins of my past, yet they still haunt me. Your sermon is so very basic for the believer who has no knowledge of the word of God. But what about those who have searched constantly for these answers by reading the Lords word day and night searching for the healing that never comes to a mind so tormented by Satan and his wickedness. Am I just another Paul that will be told, that this torn in my flesh is something I must deal with because in my weakness he is strong? I can’t handle these thoughts and dreams that haunt me constantly. How does one fight with every ounce of their being, yet still feel defeated everyday. I run to the word, I’ve started to memorize it, yet the attacks seem more intense and the lord feels even more distant. I understand why people do things to stop these thoughts, yet that’s not Gods way. I ask constantly, Lord show me your will for my life, let me be more sensitive to the Holy Spirit, yet it just seems like the spirit becomes more quiet when I ask, and the Lords will seems non existent. I’ve completely follow his path and changed my life because 1 Corinthians 6-9 says that was who I was, not who I am any longer, yet the temptation and sinful thoughts of that old life still come, I thought I’d be healed from that way of thinking and could live a normal heterosexual life with a wife and kids someday. Why does Satan still torture me when Jesus has “healed” me? How does one quiet the mind and control the thoughts and dreams, when the mind and the heart are sinful and cannot be trusted? How does one not be paralyzed by not being able to even trust oneself? I just want the Lord to take me home so all this pain can just stop. Like Solomon suggests, everything in life is pointless. The only thing that brings any relief is just the thought of leaving this horrible place of suffering and pain. This world is so evil, and sin and the devil deserve the lake of fire, yet even though our lives are described as a blink of an eye, when you’re being tortured it feels like an eternity. I just want Jesus to hurry up and come, end this pain and these thoughts that cannot be trusted. This corrupt heart that also cannot be trusted. Eric
Hey, and God bless you. I felt it in my heart to talk with you. A large part of healing is learning God's promises and what he says about your worth. You are more precious than rubies, and of more worth than many sparrows. You have worth, that's why you are under attack. The devil knows how valuable you are to the kingdom. Through Jesus, and the Holy Spirit you have the authority to rebuke these attacks in the name of Jesus. This authority is due to the Holy Spirit indwelling you. When you feel yourself being attacked, rebuke the thoughts in the name of Jesus. The devil's greatest asset is you not knowing how much the lord loves and values you and not knowing that God has given us authority over the devil to rebuke him. Because if you don't know your value, you'll sell yourself short. If you don't know God's promises for you, you won't know what to claim when the devil comes at you. If you don't know that you have the authority to rebuke the devil you will feel helpless. But you are not helpless. Your help is in the Lord. You can call upon him to give you strength, and to be your strength... When I am weak, yet am I strong. Because I'm not standing in my strength. I'm standing in HIS strength. Equip the full armor of God, in Ephesians 6:11-13. It will help you stand against the wiles of the devil. It's something I do daily, and when I forget to equip it, it's hard to stand because then I am trying to stand in my own strength... You aren't going it alone, you're yoked with Jesus. He will help you to pull the weight. Jesus came that you would have life and have it more abundantly. You will have those things. A good life is still possible for you. Not only that, God will bless you so that you can be a blessing to others. When the devil knocks at your door saying lies, you rebuke him with truth, and tell him not to come back. Then, lay your struggles at the feet of Jesus. Surrender it all to him. The second part of healing is surrendering. You will have a family. You will have kids if you want them. Your sins are not too great and you are not too far gone. Jesus is ready to help you break all the lies that have been spoken over you off of you. God bless you. I will be praying for you. If you must battle, you will not do it alone.

I’ve been in a good place since leaving my old life behind. I believe these attacks are mostly because I am on the brink of a breakthrough, I’m about to take my medical license exam and I see the Lord and his blessings on the horizon so the devil is attacking me constantly trying to hold me back. Your words mean so much to me in this moment and I gratefully appreciate you! May the Lord send you 1000 additional blessings for your words of kindness, Deuteronomy 1:11!
