Made this video years ago when there were no videos of gy6 anything to be found. The original carburetor was missing the spring and o-ring on the needle valve adjuster. Bought a replacement carburetor that came to me all gummed up. Brand new. So I had to take it apart and clean it up etc. I figured a video would at least help people not be afraid to work on their own stuff. Cleaning it out is very easy. Many if not all newer carburetor’s won’t have that adjustment screw. Their factory set need no adjustment etc. you might see a little brass cap over where that spot is supposed to be. The best you could do to clean that is spray carb cleaner through it and hope it comes clean.
Hey Hi Eric !! Thanks a Lot for sharing this very useful video. I recently cleaned up my Honda unicorn carb which even the service guys had given up to repair. My bike is running excellent & gave ~55 kmpl mileage on first long run !!!! Really thankful to you for saving my 5000 bucks. Thanks !!
Erick you gave a well take down of a carburetor 150cc in a manner well done ,your camera is a great instrument .I sWear all the parts very clear. Thank you By the way can you do a vedeo of a 1986 50cc yamaha carburetor:) Victor from New jersey
Haven’t messed with this thing in years. Got ran off the road by a minivan and that was enough 2 wheeling for me. I had bought a new carburetor for it that looked perfect, but ran like poo. The tiny little flute holes were all gummed up even brand new. I ran a guitar string through them and cleaned up good. Maybe some compressed air or carb cleaner would had been enough.
Hey E. So I've been having issues with my 08 zhen vintage 150cc. The enricher needle on mine is different than the 1 shown with c washer to adjust. Mine is a snug fitting plastic cap attached to the needle. How far should i pull it up if its fully down and not receiving power?
I wonder how the enricher interacts with the air/fuel screw and the pilot jet? What I mean is, if changing the pilot to a smaller size, will also the fuel level during enrichment change?
Yeah and the plug you see next to the float bowl has to come out and adjust the screw. U can use a sharp tip punch to tap a hole in it and lightly put a metal screw in it and use something to pull it out don't drill it out because you will hit that mixture screw and damage it. 35 pilot 110 main
I took my apart an don't know where these 3 item go back 1. A really really tiny metal an rubber round rings an a really small spring please let me know how I can send u the pictures of them
hello i got a 125 quad yesterday! and i was riding it today and it shut off when i was giving it revs then i let it idle and it slowly idled slower till it shut off please help me
OK I recently purchased a Roketa MC-23-150cc and I'm trying to get it running. All the vacuum lines and fuel lines were disconnected when I got it. I have figured out the most of it except for one issue. On the opposite side of where the throttle cable is and toward the top of the carburetor but on the side there is fuel coming out when I crank the engine. It looks like maybe a hose hooks up there but where does it go and why? If anyone can help me that would be great before.
All those that do your own work like me the needle and seat are most important the rubber on the bottom of the needle goes bad it will be a f bitch to jet. Or if your lucky it will over flow into the air box like mine did. If the seat is bad it's time for a carburator. ☹️
This is darn near a good video. Why does it just stop before the job is done? Why does the lighting look like it's coming from a flashlight? Why is there a double voice track at times? Ya almost nailed it though.....
Dear Sir, I followed your procedure to process my GY6 scooter carburetor here, and then I set it up on my scooter already! Few days ago, I try to start engine for test carburetor situation, I found a lot of gasoline through carburetor upper pipeline out! I don’t understand what reason make happen is? Do you have any suggestion for that? Thanks!
@@EricWaterTruck Appreciated your kindly respond to analyze my issue, and I should check that little neoprene needle of float inside does sealing or not? hey there i have the same carb on my gy6 see here is the problem, everytime i start the bike i have to stay on the gas at least 2 minutes or so because otherways it will just die, then stays on, but then it has lots of bogging, specially picking up speed,i took it apart cleaned then i set my idle screw so the bike wont die, is there any way to check is the auto choke is working because it burns to much gas too, i intall a higflow filter rite in da carb n then the bike wont run at all, i had to

Hey you did a great job explaining the parts of the carb and I really like it. I wish you had made part 2, Thanks just the same.
Gracias x su vídeo ,he aprendido mucho , no sabía nada ,, ahora ya de desarmo mi carburador ,,
Muy detallado , excelente para la reparacion y limpieza del carburador , muchas gracias.
great video and explanation!
Thank you, Very detailed!!
please make part 2! you are the only person ive found who has the same carb as me! pleeease!
I paid attention to most of the videos of GY6. Most of the specifications of the GY6 closely match the KINETIC ZX ZOOM 2 Stroke 110cc.

The mixture screw is under the plug and it's going to need to be adjusted
How do you adjust the carburetor to get or less fuel into the carburetor to not drink to much gas? any suggestions thanks?

Hi on the pin that goes up or down shouldn't it be a rubber o ring sits next to the c clip
riding at sea level, I found that the C-clip had to be placed at the bottom notch on the jet needle.
What is the one that looks like a jet but can't be screwed out , is it a jet ,
is the pilot jet supposed to be open from front to back. it seems there is something blocking mine from a wire being inserted. can you post detail?
I just bought a new carb do you have to do anything with it before installing it
Of course it can hold the fuel back lol NEVER stick a screwdriver in the float needle valve seat on anything unless its the changeable type
Do you think you could slow it down just a bit?
What main jet are you running? As I've got 100
I wonder how the enricher interacts with the air/fuel screw and the pilot jet? What I mean is, if changing the pilot to a smaller size, will also the fuel level during enrichment change?

I think that's what's making my bike boaging on top speed
hy! i have pulsor 220 and some one changed the setting of air fuel mixture can u say me the right setting of air fuel mixture
I took my apart an don't know where these 3 item go back 1. A really really tiny metal an rubber round rings an a really small spring please let me know how I can send u the pictures of them
its from the air adjuster screw setting that we adjust the air and fuel mixure
Anybody know what the AC voltage should be in a 150cc gy6, 8 pole stator should be from the charging coil? Please?
cool,
How size Jet for 107ccm or 125
Any info will help thanks

What do you adjust on the carburetor to control the amount of fuel going into your carburetor? I want less fuel so it want drink to much gas.thanks
try changing the main jet and the pilot jet it restricts the amount of fuel being fed into your engine

That little neoprene needle that hooks up to the float probably ain’t sealing or is binding getting stuck. Gl
