- Bird Key is at the center of a potentially controversial sale of the private island.
After being listed on the market, it’s starting to generate concern in Miami’s environmental community because of the island’s reputation of being a bird sanctuary.
The 37-and-a-half acre private island has been listed for $31.5 million.

I can't imagine anyone actually paying $31 million for a strip of sand that could be wiped out with one strong hurricane. It's called Bird Island so let the birds have it.

$36k to $30mil is a huge increase. Another example of how prices have grown out of control and the people have less ability to have basic shelter every day.
Miami went from a beautiful place with forrest, habitats, endless trees and animal species to concrete, steel, glass and pavement. Complete over development that turned it into a s*** hole.
