Some really useful selling advice Oleg, much appreciated. useful tip on the photography. If you want to take a photo of jewelry or watches it's worth considering placing the item on clean black velvet as it absorbs light (just position it correctly for more striking shots. I have a Nomos Ludwig Neomatik and so far I'm very pleased with it, I hope all is well with your new Nomos. Keep up the good work.
When shipping READ THE FINE PRINT... FedEx won't insure watch packages they will take your money but the insurance isn't valid on luxury time pieces. USPS your insurance becomes void if shipping outside of U.S.
This is an awesome video Oleg! I am getting ready to sell a few watches and this is very timely and helpful...I would have never thought to list a watch locally 😊👍
I watched this while wearing a watch I picked up on FB, in a Christopher Ward group. It worked out well for me, as the seller was based in Canada too, so no cross border silliness.
Is there anyway to see the average sell prices for different watches on Chrono24? I'm finding a huge discrepancy between sold prices on ebay and asking prices on C24.
I find watchuseek is primarily American sellers and they almost always ship to US only. Being in Canada, that is a bummer. If you ever want to sell you Black Bay, let me know haha. Great video!
Very good video, and much appreciated. Lots of great information and tips. Thank you Oleg for another awesome video!!! Great to see Mr. Bond took. All the best!
Ebay seller here, who's never listed watches on ebay - my basic question is for vintage New in box watches whose batteries are dead - do you replace batteries yourself before listing, or take to a watch repair shop? My preference is to flip watches w/o adding to my time and costs, but wondering if watches are not operating, is that harder to sell?
I'm an eBay seller too and have sold watches on the platform. I tend to ensure the watch is serviced and batteries are new with my local watchmaker before listing. That way, I can include that bonus in my description. The alternate (and maybe your preference) is to list as-is and include the limitations in the description. You can still list at your preferred price because you're listing the watch itself. The right buyer will pick it up regardless of battery or need of service, I do that as I like to service my purchases for my own peace of mind.
Thanks very helpful I haven't given platform's like next-door or Craigslist a thought before. From the watches you showed in this video looks like we're of the same taste I love GMT's too. Give Bond a steak for me.
Thanks for sharing all this valuable information.I want to buy low price watches by the bulk brand new and maybe get a little bit extra money for someone that just a little bit higher than one I paid for because maybe the watch is only 50% off I'd be willing to buy a bulk of watches.even selling generic watches putting them on eBay for maybe less than $20 and selling it on eBay for about $30 or 35
Not sure you're still interested, but I'll be putting up nearly 55, yes, 55 mens watches. Mostly Fossil & few Relic. Mainly links w/extra and all size 9 (yes, large sized). Purchased directly from Fossil retails in USA. ⌚🤞
How much would i lose, if for example, i buy a watch for 5000$ from a boutique, and i dont use it so its in its original condition, if the watch value stays the same?
@@24hourstime yeah I love cinematography so much and this inside padock feel but it's overdramatic to the extreme haha. Ep 3 is about Valtteri and his IWC gloves haha
Always good to see Mr Bond. Really look forward to seeing him at the beginning of the videos. Great advice on selling watches
Thank you sir. Bond actually loves being in the video lol

Awesome video! Thank you for those tips and advice. Very helpful.
Useful tips Oleg, I could really use a collection trim. Just deciding which ones to let go, I find tricky.
Always good to have a new perspective. Thankyou.

Another good platform where to sell watches is Chrono24.
Chrono24 has been a good rec if over $20k USD
You should start a consignment store, Oleg! It would provide a great opportunity to support your channel.
Facebook in uk is not very good to many time wasters same on gumtree eBay is ok but to many charges with the PayPal cut as well
Thanks 🙏🏻
What about Chrono?
Cant wait for the nomos review
I'm so excited to review that watch!
Thank you
Just a suggestion, but it would be cool to see you have an intro for your videos w/ Mr.Bond. Otherwise, good work! 👍🏻

depends on the brand and the market conditon
When you sold your Omega in person, were you worried that you might get robbed?
That dog is a Genius
Some really good advice there thanks, Oleg👍
Good. Pictures!!!
That’s what sells
"90% of the time your gut feeling is right". What? How do you get to this number?
Chrono24, mistype
I’ve used Chrpno24 with success, you haven’t mentioned the biggest watch market place in the world?
Good point! I haven't sold anything through Chrono24 so couldn't give much advice on it. I thought it was more watch dealers than the enthusiasts.
r/watchexchange on Reddit is by far my favourite!
Thank you!
There are also wholesale trader whatsapp groups.
Oh good tip!
Can you add me to one ?
Know what you want for something and stick to your price

I wish my gut was reliable 90% of the time.
