My first wxperience with chitterlings was Thanksgiving 2012. The place where i lived with a lady owned two houses side by side. The lady called and said can i use the stove to put a couple things on. I made the mistake of saying yes. She brought over a pot of chitterlings and a pot of greens to cook. When those things started cooking everyone in the house went outside gagging. We took that pot back to her house and exchanged it for the pot of green beans. She had to cook her own chitterlings.
My mama used to load us 9 children in the station wagon and go to the big city of Montgomery, Alabama, and shop at Sears . We had to stay outside under a shade tree planted in the parking lot. She always brought us a big bag of candy that she bought by the pound.😊😊
Enjoyed you struck up a memory, long ago, this grandmother moved in our town and had her grandson with her, we became friends maybe we were 7 or 8, we went to store, and the elders were asking who his parents were, his head went down started kicking the dirt, started tearing up, they kept pushing I jump up and said he was my cousin from another part of state so we left with our slice of cheese and crackers headed back home and he told me thank you , said for what, he told me his parents left him when he was born, that was his grandmother raising him might have been my first fib, thanks for sharing Brother Jared

Fore you knew it, the townsfolk would get wind of the music from other neighbors and had the whole road blocked up with people that came to listen. The ole front yard became a dance floor. Sometimes, Grandma would carve up a couple watermelons for folks that came to listen. Ole Sheriff Towel would say “Boys, you gotta stop the music, cuz y’all got the road into town blocked…but before you quit, could you play “Turkey in the Straw” for me first?😂😂😂😂

Thank you Jared my wife was born and raised way up in the mountains in a log house that her granddaddy built they nicknamed everybody a nickname, my wife, Axie after an old man that made ax handles, walk around, selling them my wife walk the roads, all the time nicknamed, my oldest son, Debco, and my youngest son huck . He said back in the old days they would have men that would walk from one house to another and come up on the porch and make music. It was a name for it but I can’t remember, but that was a common type of entertainment probably had the same tradition there in Tennessee. Thanks, Jared.❤

I remember goin visiting my uncle one time with my mom and when we got there my uncle weren't home and we found out later on he had come to visit us and we weren't home. Evening from Los Angeles Ca to all the kinfolk. Brother Jared...First off, thsnks again for last night's visitin'. Pretty much everything you set forth here is pretty much what I experienced during my time down in Kentucky visiting my young lady and her family. Wound up with a nickname... Her two uncles dubbed me as "Beanpole" due to my height ( 6ft 5) and weighing about 173 lbs soaking wet. Lol.. But I sassed them right back a time or two... Funny thing I noticed when I was there....People seemed rather surprised when I told them that I wasn't a local. Guess I blended in just fine there. Wonder if it's a sign for the future... Anyone who has any input about this? Stay warm and safe out there freinds and neighbors.
@JaredKingTV Us "Beanpoles" are pretty plentiful.... I'll be 60 years old in mid July....I am still waiting for my metabolism to slow down . I can STILL fit into my initial issue Marine uniform perfectly. Got those at 17 years old in 1983....

My grandpa and grandma would load all of us up and take us to our favorite swimming hole ever now and then and kids would be hanging all over that old Chevy truck.we would take a couple big watermelons and throw our 2 old groundhog dogs in the back with us and boy did we have a time.old time ways were the best.thanks for videos i sure do appreciate them.God Bless
When my brothers, sister, and I were children our mother called our father, "Daddy"; and our father called our mother, "Mommy". After we grew up and left home, our parents called each other, "Old Man" and "Old Woman." I never understood this; because, I never saw anything wrong with being called, "Grandpa" and "Grandma". I had a mother-in-law who would invite herself over to visit. I hated to see her coming unexpected; because, she would go through my house shopping. Many items always disappeared when she came to visit. When she came unexpected, I didn't have a chance to hide things from her. I don't have to worry about her anymore; because, she's "pushing up Daisies" now. When Daddy saw one of his relatives coming to visit, we would hear him say, "I wonder what I've got that they've come to borrow and never return." He was always correct on that issue. When he got something back (tape recorder, wheel barrel, tarp, telescope) it would be broken or worn out.

Many items always disappeared when she came to visit. When she came unexpected, I didn't have a chance to hide things from her. I don't have to worry about her anymore; because, she's "pushing up Daisies" now. When Daddy saw one of his relatives coming to visit, we would hear him say, "I wonder what I've got that they've come to borrow and never return." He was always correct on that issue. When he got something back (tape recorder, wheel barrel, tarp, telescope) it would be broken or worn out.
