I have been using the Remove tool to remove small pimples and other bumps in the skin.i think this is the best use of the tool for now. I use the Patch tool for larger areas to remove discoloration and such. The Remove tool is a combination of spot healing and cline stamp. It will get better with time
I also get tgat slight discoloration when using the Remove tool but it get rid of it with Frequency separation so it's not that big a deal for me

Yeah I see the skin changes color. I have to use it myself and see what its about.

I don't get that discoloration when I use the Remove tool. Since, they came out with it, it's my main blemish removal. But, it's not perfect as that example you had with dark skin. The texture is way different. I would use the clone stamp for that.
I use the Patch tool as a last resort because it's needs to be on a rasterized layer, It can't be used on a regular layer like Remove, Clone Stamp, and Heal Brush, and Spot Heal.

clearly NO even with the new adobe AI tech affinity photo has the much better and faster repair tools for skin retouching. the remove tool introduces too often artefacts and colorshifts.
