I have to admit that it was your name and several FB friends that we have in common that drew me to check out this video/song. My ancestors were curbelos that immigrated to San Antonio, Texas from Lanzarote in the 1700's before the eruptions. You did a FANTASTIC job with this song and arrangement. I truly love it. Jim Courville (actually Curbelo before the name changed to Courville...long story)

@@IsraelCurbeloofficial My eight great grandfather was the very same Juan Curbelo who was one of the founding fathers of San Antonio, Texas. I have done many years of research following my ancestry from Lanzarote to Louisiana. The long story is that the Curbelos were on the rebel side of the Texas revolution from Mexico and had to flea from San Antonio to Louisiana, which at the time was French territory. Their possessions in San Antonio were sold at public auction and many of the people of San Antonio were executed for being or helping rebels. After arriving in Louisiana, the name Curbelo was changed to the nearest sounding French name of Courville by the translators for official records. I would be happy to grant you access to my Ancestry.com page if you would send me your email address. That may help both of us in our research. The address I will be using is JamesCourville@yahoo.com. I feel confident that we absolutely are family.
