It’s a common misconception that recording somebody without their knowledge is illegal. It actually depends on which state the people recording and being recorded are in because it varies. Some states have a two party law where both people being recorded must know that they are being recorded and then there’s some states that have a one party law, where at least one person has to know that they’re being recorded. So basically that means that if I’m on a phone call with you, I can record you without your knowledge, but you can’t wire tap somebody’s phone and record two people talking without either of them knowing. I just wanted to clear that up for anybody who was confused.
