Hi guys-very informative presentation of room 609 on the origin. We are planning on potentially going on the origin, and the last suite for May 6th is room 609; the same room you were in. The 325 sq Ft seemed tiny! Where do you put two 25” inch luggage. Seems very cramped for a week. How did you manage with such small space

Hi, Sandra! Thank you for checking out our Origin videos! Any checked-size luggage should be able to fit under the bed so it's out of the way. We never felt cramped but we also didn't spend a ton of time in the room itself since there are excursions every morning and every afternoon. At first we wished we had a veranda but then we fell in love with the "Horizon Balcony" which we left open a lot. The tiled "veranda area" also allowed extra usable (and clean) space in the room (as opposed to a completely outdoor veranda). The room is on the smaller side for this ship compared to other suite designs and the ocean view walk-in shower that's included in the larger rooms would have been a nice treat but we were very pleased with room 609!

Wasn't the schedule daily a bit too intense and no time for relaxing?

Hello! Thanks so much for watching. Although excursions are offered in the morning and afternoon, you are not required to attend all of them. You can pick and choose and stay on the ship and relax if you prefer. However, as this is an expedition cruise, the activities are almost completely dependent on the weather so we suggest taking advantage whenever you can. Plus, this ship is smaller than other Silversea ships due to Galápagos requirements so there won't be as many ship activities offered. We hope that helps!

Also-how was the food. We are luxury travelers, but our 1st expedition cruise.

We were very impressed with the cuisine, especially the fresh Ecuadorian ceviche that was offered each day. The portion sizes were perfect as well. Breakfast options felt a little limited but lunch and dinner offerings were very good and we particularly liked the fish entrees. We did read food reviews in a Facebook group that were mixed, but ingredient availability can vary and will determine that week's menus.

What kind of wetsuits do they have as I get cold very easily. My hubby is bringing his dive skin to put under his wetsuit. Can you make reservations for kayaks in advance? Thanks for all your great info!!
