Glad you enjoyed my home region. We moved here 13 years ago from Wellington after travelling for six years and haven’t regretted it one bit. The weather, the produce, the wine, the outdoors and lifestyle is what drew us here and keeps us here.
@@Nameless_Zero99 I reccomend signing up to the tramping club and AUCC (Auckland University Canoe/rafting/whitewater/kayak (can't remember what the acronym stands for exactly) - they have some amazing trips out into the country all year around. @kiwi fella So many decades of neglect by both major partys has brought us to the point we're at now. All around the globe, country after country are struggling to find solutions for the very same social ills that plague NZ. Acknowledging the issues we face is the first step in moving forward. Denying there ever was a problem, particularly regarding poverty and homelessness, was the worst thing that could have happened and contributed big time to the damage we now see. These issues will take years to right, if ever, regardless of who has their feet under the top table. I for one am extremely grateful to live here and my whanau work hard at helping those in our community who need support. Maybe more people should try mucking in instead of cultivating a negative attitude and bringing others, and themselves down. Try it mate, you might be surprised and find yourself actually enjoying the privilege of lending a helping hand to those less fortunate. Kiaora.
