Great. You inspire everyone to take up scientific research. We could be roaming in space with scientific research on space travel and a better human existence.

But if I wanted to make a sea faring vessel out of bio-plastics that does not pollute the ocean with micro plastics, what would I use?
Long term dream build a vessel that with minimal maintenance could last 200 years at sea. (Just in case land becomes a little hard to find)

Isn't all plastic made from plants anyway? Whats the difference between using new vs old plants? The newer plants are more radioactive? Petroleum exists because at one point tree grown wood was not biodegradable, so it just sat there, polluting the environment, until it compressed itself under its own weight. Eventually the planet evolved a life form that could digest wood, but not before it had sat there for hundreds of millions of years. People theorize that PET could take 1000s of years to biodegrade, which is really really really quite short compared to what natural wood had already done

I think bioplastic already made many years ago.
