You do an amazing job, I can't stress this enough! I really enjoy your playthroughs, you explain things clearly but you are not slow, wasting time; the zoom in's or whatever are SUPER useful for us to understand what is going on and we would like to thank you for the work you put in here! Keep it up!❤️
Thanks Colin and Bairnt for another entertaining playthrough, this looks like it took a lot of time to do but well worth the effort. looking forward to the next chapter.
Just finally grabbed this on a recent sale and wanted to watch this to prep myself to some of the rules and mechanics before I dive into it myself and struggle on my own! Greatly appreciated from... THE YEAR TWO-THOUSAND!!!!!.. and twenty four.
Thanks Colin and Bairnt Had to chuckle at the placement of a well right on the edge of a lake but who cares so long as the water has curative properties! lol Great fum thanks guys and looking forward to the next episode!
Hi! First of all great job! Some things I’d like to point is that to activate sight tokens you must put the hero over it. 15:36 You saved 1 move; but you should have spent it putting the miniature over it. Then 22:50 you shifted with brynn. I think you did wrong. As rule book says you can do it as long as you step over another hero as always as you can move to another square on the map. But rule book also says that you can’t step over the space that an enemy is on. And I’m not sure if you can shift or not whenever you step next to the enemy. Thank you for this 🙂
Oh dear. Adrian, I'm afraid you've got some of these rules wrong. First off: Colin played it correctly. For sight tokens, per page 9 of the rulebook at the top: they are activated when a hero moves into or ADJACENT to them. In other words, with the word "adjacent", it means that if a character is on a square touching the square with the sight token it is activated. For Brynn's shift, it is important to remember that shift IGNORES impedement rules regarding movement when it comes to enemies. When Brynn shifts, she only needs to obey the rules that apply to the terrain she lands in -- should she land in hazardous terrain. And terrain rules also mean that she can't land in a space containing another hero, or an enemy. Because shift ignores impedement rules ("shift" isn't a maneuver action, and doesn't involve movement points at all) you may shift next to an enemy, and fully move. This is in the app rules reference, the rulebook, and has also been clarified many times on BGG.
Hi Sascha! I personally think S&S is the better game but way more complex. Would only recommend it if you can leave it out and play over an extended period of time. Descent is much easier to get to the table!
Great video - my wife and I just finished this scenario ourselves but we had a much harder time at the end we just about made it :) can I ask where you get the focus tokens from as we seemed to have missed that- keep them coming
Came here to check if your even meant to be able to win the first scenario. After my playthrough I assumed it was an autofail encounter, guess Im just bad
The skill outmanuver doesnt count as an action? Im at a loss. You used outmanuver to get behind the berserker, hit him twice and still moved to the marker on the map.
Even Mike can be wrong sometimes! Given I've already recorded scenario 2 and have a seperate campaign going I love it! The app does all the heavy lifting and I get to just enjoy the game! Plus the painted minis look amazing.... especially with the 3d terrain!
Yes he reviewed it had 4 mixes 1 con 0 pros. I Really enjoy the game as well. Much better than many were expecting imo and I’ll dare say I prefer it even over JiME which is also a great game.
I've played through the first 5 or so scenarios with some friends and I also am not a fan (I would quit and sell it if I were playing solo, but will continue as a group). The gameplay is fine, although quite repetitive, and I like the terrain bits a lot more than I thought I would but the narrative (especially the dialog, omg the dialog cutscenes are unbelievably long and poorly written) is awful. I really dislike the fatigue and flipping mechanic (I like 2nd edition much more) and it feels like just about every turn is the same. Through 5 scenarios I feel like my character has barely progressed and every turn consists of moving, rolling a single die, inputing a number between 2 and 4 in the app and then maybe doing that a second time. The weapon upgrades make a difference but since they're all random % chance effects that you have no control over it feels incredibly hollow and bland. My personal rating has dropped from a 7 (decent game but not one I'd ever purchase) to a 5 (dislike the game but can tolerate it) over the scenarios played.
Need more heroes. None of these heroes seem cool- focused too much on creativity, i want just some classic barbarian, knight, paladin, maybe an archer that doesnt look like a rodent.
They have a classic elf archer, a classic tank/knight, a classic wizard with a familiar… I think you just don’t like the art, which is fine of course 😂 But if you don’t like the art, adding a barbarian in that art style wouldn’t make you happy either, I am guessing
@OneStopCoopShop the archer looks like a rat. The wizard is good. Dwarf tanks are too goofy looking. Just wish there were more options. Too much goof in the character designs. It's more character design than art.

Thanks so much for making our day!! Appreciate you watching and commenting!!
Can't imagine how much editing you had to do for this video! Flawless work as usual Colin!
This one was a bit brutal but we had so much fun playing together! Thanks for watching!!
Thanks Colin and Bairnt for another entertaining playthrough, this looks like it took a lot of time to do but well worth the effort. looking forward to the next chapter.
Thanks so much for watching and commenting Sean! It was a blast to play!
Just finally grabbed this on a recent sale and wanted to watch this to prep myself to some of the rules and mechanics before I dive into it myself and struggle on my own! Greatly appreciated from... THE YEAR TWO-THOUSAND!!!!!.. and twenty four.
So futuristic!!!
Thanks Colin and Bairnt

Great fum thanks guys and looking forward to the next episode!
Haha well the lake must be salt water I think! Thanks so much for watching Paul as always!!
I would love to see an offical rulling from FFG, since I have seen many other playthroughs not remove successes when all cards have scars. (1:34:27)
Yeah I was not sure on that but prefer it to be harder! This is a coop game after all right?!

Happy new year to you and your family Colin!Great playthrough, as always. I’m curious, which one do you prefer: Sword & Sorcery or Descent?
Hi Sascha! I personally think S&S is the better game but way more complex. Would only recommend it if you can leave it out and play over an extended period of time. Descent is much easier to get to the table!

That's awesome! The focus tokens came with the game? Did you miss punching them out?
@@OneStopCoopShop we have the tokens, must have missed the actual rule on their application or how they come into play
hi, is it possible to play with only 1 hero all the time?
No, minimum of 2
I used to make platforms like this with my old d saga tiles...lol
Haha nice!!
Amazing minis. They look great.
I know right?! Just makes the board come alive!
Could i ask what kind of gold paint and brand was used for Bairnt's character? It looks awesome
I will ask Bill!
How much table space would you say is needed?
A good 3×3 table I would say!
Ok. I my kitchen table is a 4x4 pub table so I was wondering if this game would fit
Oh yeah you'll be fine!
Hello, is there another way to reach out to Bill Holmes? I don't have facebook. Should I just email him?
You'll have to ask Colin over at Meet Me at the Table. He joined Bairnt's channel over there.
Came here to check if your even meant to be able to win the first scenario. After my playthrough I assumed it was an autofail encounter, guess Im just bad
Hope it helped!
The skill outmanuver doesnt count as an action?
Im at a loss.
You used outmanuver to get behind the berserker, hit him twice and still moved to the marker on the map.
I'm sorry we sold the game I don't remember!
Hi the skill outmanuver is a unique action and cost the number of actions before the symbol in this case it cost 1 action hope this helps
How’d you enjoy it? Mike was not a fan 😂
Even Mike can be wrong sometimes! Given I've already recorded scenario 2 and have a seperate campaign going I love it! The app does all the heavy lifting and I get to just enjoy the game! Plus the painted minis look amazing.... especially with the 3d terrain!
Did mike release a video?

@@PickleTheHutt sounds very similar to my experience, though I think I like it a bit more than you. Sorry it didn't work well for you!
- Mike
In actual gameplay, the players spent too much time on the app instead of the board! In fact, I can just play off the app.
Need more heroes. None of these heroes seem cool- focused too much on creativity, i want just some classic barbarian, knight, paladin, maybe an archer that doesnt look like a rodent.
