I feel like 1st King’s 18 sets a dangerous, clearly Yahweh approved precedent for testing for the existence, presence, and power of a god. Imagine if this standard for Baal were applied to Yahweh today. Someone could equally yell Elijah’s taunts today. *“Is He away? Asleep? Speak louder!”* Would you be willing to stake your life on a display of Yahweh’s power?
I was enjoying this till his insulting statement about the Southern people and their pronunciation of Baal. There are and has been great teachers who may have mispronounced the word, but the lesson was made clear. I'm glad God looks at the heart and not vocabulary. I'm sorry us poor southern people don't have education you have. Makes me feel bad for Jesus' deciples who didn't have your education!
Except for your close friends you will not know who you are. Amen and Amen.
This is rich.
We love having Dr. Mohler on our campus to visit, thanks for watching and make sure to subscribe for more great content like this!
