Mr Shankar Rangappa Devarmani started many many decades back this great and famous Karadant which has now become synonymous with Gokak.
He realised that healthy dry fruits and other ingredients are rarely used by many food makers hence, with a noble intention of giving good, healthy Karadant, he started SADANAND KARADANT.
Today after 5 decades or so, his sons, Uday and Sanjay Devarmani have taken the legacy forward and ensured that the customers get the same original and genuine taste and quality Karadant, Antina Udnis, Ladagi Laadus etc.
Their ANTINA UNDI has medicinal benefits for pregnant ladies as it strengthens back bones and bones in general.

Since 48 years I am in Pune. Normally I visit my native place Bailhongal on return to Pune I must purchase Sadanands Kardant & Ladaki Unde for my family & friends.
Even in 2016 at my son's marriage in Pune Sadanand supplied us nearly 40 kgs of Ladaki unde immediately within 12 Hrs to Pune.
In Pune all community people liked very much & appreciated too.
On my phone order Sadanand delivered without a payment with reference of my friend Pandurang Rangsube Gokak.After 15 days I personally visited Sadanand & paid the bill.Owners are very good people & personalities.I remember all life long.

This recipe of this sweet dish is amazing.It is a very good supplement for good health no matter how old are you.
Kardanru is very good especially as post delivery supplement for good muscle strength and bones support. .
I used to get to eat very occasionally in my childhood. My grandma and mother used to prepare it with a lot of effort and taking care of adding all the ingredients that were well cleaned before doing kardantu to distribute to any lady in the neighborhood who was under post delivery care. Those were the golden days when we used to get to see and taste this golden coloured Kardantu at home.
