Just recently purchased it for my first ever drone for up in the Scottish mountains as well. Had a few flights with it so just all about learning how to fly one and learn what it does
You say the Mini 4 Pro is the only camera in DJI's current line up which will shoot in portrait orientation, I think you'll find that the Mini 3 Pro does that as well. 👍
As always a very straight forward honest approach. Nice to see you back. Great video. I am very much a novice and recently "lost" my Mini 2...so looking to replace with either the 3 or 4. You have certainly helped with the decision. Thanks
Thanks for the great review. Good to have you back! I have a Mavic 3 and had a Mini 3 Pro. I was on the fence on the Mini 4 for the reasons you mentioned, but finally upgraded and sold the Mini 3 Pro. It was totally worth the upgrade. I actually fly my Mavic 3 less now and the Mini 4 more than I ever flew the Mini 3. It's such a great drone!
Great to have you back Stewart. Good to have your views on the Mini 4. I’m still flying my Mini 2 and love that Drone. The Mini 4 is on my list -- saving up!
Great to see you producing your videos again! I bought a Mini 4 pro recently and absolutely love it! Much better clarity than the mini 3! Kudos to DJI!
Good to have you back Stew. I’ll be in Scotland next May. Where is the Pointy Mountain and the valley I often see you working? I’m assuming it’s somewhere South of Glencoe, maybe on the A82?
Great to see the review and your views coming through. I am thinking of upgrading (or down grading I guess) from the Mavic 2 pro as travelling with a heavier setup in other countries is becoming tougher and tougher. Thank you for an honest opinion. I think the mini 4 pro strikes a good balance between features, weight and price.
Great review as always Stewart, been waiting to see what you thought of the M4P. I bought one a month or so ago, upgraded from the Mini 2 (which I loved and I was a big fan of your Mini 1 review) and it's amazing. Would love to see your workflow with HLG in Final Cut Pro.
Excellent review of an excellent drone. Personally I tried it and ended up buying the Air 3 which I absolutely love. I am not commenting to in any way bash the Mini 4 Pro as I have already said it is an excellent drone. For how I fly and film though the Air 3 really is another level.
Great review of the DJI Mini 4 Pro. I purchased one when it was first released at the end of the summer, and I must say its the best Mini drone I've ever owned, bar none. Thanks for sharing Stewart.
Cheers pal. I am new to this malarky and after testing a wing-12, and returning it, buying it 3 more times and returning it 3 times I have decided to upgrade to this Mini 4. Your footage from Glencoe is amazing and I look forward to adding my own at Invercoe.
Being fed up with rubbish shadows on my air 2, interesting to hear the mini 4 and air 3 have the same wide angle sensor which has decent low light capabilities…
Goodness me that is such a scenic and beautiful vista. Any plans to conduct drone tours to the area? I suspect it would be very popular (sadly a long way from me here in Australia).
Ha! No such thing as an "old" LUT if they are created correctly. We use our own LUTs for all our cameras because they are generic colour adjustments that are not camera specific. Many LUTs have contrast and saturation adjustments embedded that are at best, camera specific and at worst, completely useless because every shot has different exposure, balance of shadows/highlights etc.
As always, a cracking video. HLG suggestion, if it's 10-Bit and you have a recent MacBook Pro or iPad Pro, edit in a HDR workflow and export as HDR. RUclips will know to show viewers SDR if their monitor or TV does not handle HDR but the most tech people they will have iPhone, TV's and Android devices that now are HDR compatible. It should blow your mind. Just my humble suggestion.
Useful video as always Stewart. Got to disagree about Neo vs Photoshop though. The Adobe app remains light-years ahead unless you define a photo editor solely on the gimmicky effects it can create.
Really good balanced video. The mini 4 pro is a nice bump from the mini 3 pro, personally I will not be interested until they make it compatible with the RC pro.
Thank you! Great video as usual! If I may ask, I have the Mavic 2 pro, and have been very happy with it (except not having side sensors, crashed my drone into the cliffs near the cliffs of Moher flying sideways 😢). Would you recommend this as an upgrade? I do commercial real estate photography (plus travel photography and videography).
I’m only getting about 20 minutes flight time with my batteries and not the advertised flight times. Is this normal please? Even if I park the drone in the air with practically the lightest breeze, or fly in breezy conditions, I don’t get past the 20 minute mark. My last drone was a Mini 1 and my memory has failed about how good its flight time was.
Nice video as always. Coming from a 3 Pro, I guess waypoint and tracking interface would be the only reason, but is it sufficient to really justify the move?
Great views, helpful info! Please start time stamps on chapters at 00:00. if it starts at 0:00, then there are no visible chapters in full-screen mode, only visible in the video description.
Wow, as always, the scenery of the Scottish highlands combined with your videography 👌🤩🙌
Just recently purchased it for my first ever drone for up in the Scottish mountains as well.

Glad you are back! Love these reviews.
Great review. Very happy to see so much content coming recently.

Except the mini 3 pro isn’t current.
@@cfdfirefighter Of course it is.
Also the regular mini 3 non pro
how about dji air 3?

Sell ur mavic 3 to me 😅😅😅
@@RoamingDoctors It's still my go-to when I'm after something specific or for a paying gig or if it's too windy for the Mini, like at the ocean.
@@skycam509do you think it is worth to sell my mini 4 pro for a mavic 3 classic?
As always a very good video and beautiful footage. It makes me really wanna upgrade from a first generation mini.
Great to have you back Stewart. Good to have your views on the Mini 4. I’m still flying my Mini 2 and love that Drone. The Mini 4 is on my list -- saving up!
Thank you! Mini 2 is still a great drone!
Thank for your work! Really appreciate the information I get from this channel! I also shoot in hlg and I love it!
Much appreciated!
Thanks for a direct and informative review. You've a new fan and subscriber!
Thank you! Welcome to the channel!!

Exactly right! Look up the Kingshouse Hotel in Glencoe and it's right there on the A82.
Stunning vistas.
Incredible to see how far the Minis have come in the few short years since I bought the Mavic Mini. Really tempted to upgrade one of these days
For sure. You'll notice the difference. Cheers!

You sure do love Glen Co hahaha 😆 😅
Very nice

Same field of view but it's a bigger sensor and it shoots a 10-bit colour profile so those two factors make a big difference.
Goodness me that is such a scenic and beautiful vista. Any plans to conduct drone tours to the area? I suspect it would be very popular (sadly a long way from me here in Australia).
Hey! It crossed our minds back in the day but you could travel there and get 7 days of solid rain so that could be tricky.
I still use the original DJI Mavic Mini. LOL.
I do need to upgrade it at some point...
Stewart are your old LUTs still applicable to these new drones? I love those LUTs!
Everyone else take the master class. It's amazing.

Mini 4 totally rocks. 🎉End of story.

Hey! The question would be how much do you use the variable aperture? Would you miss it?
Great question! I'd have to think about it. Thank you for the reply.

Hard to justify an upgrade from the Mini 3 Pro. Easy choice if it's your first drone though.
Yes, agree. For the moment sticking to my Mini 3 Pro.
The duo lens on the Air 3 would be fantastic on a 'DJI POCKET PRO'. I bet you DJI have mulled over this.
That would be sensational!
or a one inch sensor from pocket 3 on Air 3 Pro?
or on mavic 3 pro?
😊
I think, you should give voice to Alina.

Not for me unless they add 10 bit 4:2:2
Only worth upgrading to the next mini5pro if u have mini3pro makes sense cause 4pro has same camera😂
