The older I get, the more I think that this is the best Bond film...
One of the best, sure.
Same to me ....
Dark Wolf Hear - Hear!!! Moreover, go ahead & call me a heretic: Lazenby is my fav Bond.
I’d never seen James Bond genuinely scared before this film.
R.E.Wilhelm III Oh - you probably refer to the scene where - out of the nothing - two most beautiful legs appear in the most elegant way and the ice princess starts up to save Mr. 007 with a fulminant driving solo on the ice-track-race in a small Swiss village? Yes - if there was ever a fairy tale - then this is it!! I love it! ❤️
ChristophGG Cyrus No actually before that; when he’s in the crowd running away. That’s where the fear is.
THEE ultimate Bond girl. And the only Bond wife! RIP Dame Rigg. She was breathtaking.
Also the only bond girl that as far as I know got upset with him. She had garlic before a love scene which he commented about and it took decades before she I think forgave him for acting like a star in his first movie.
Diana Rigg was fantastic! Actually, I like equally Akiko Wakabayashi, Barbara Bach and Maryam d'Abo!
@@mtsfloridaon the set George behaved like a prima Donna. But Diana hving garlic before a love scene was meant to be a joke. She's a pro.
It's all right. It's quite all right really. She's having a rest. We'll be going on soon. There's no hurry, you see? We have all the time in the world. :'(
RIP Dame Diana Rigg.
Its the end of the world from laura
Very we'll said sir 👋👍😁
Mum and Dad loved James Bond. I remember Dad telling mum ‘we have all the time in the world’ when she was in hospital dying of cancer.
Nearly 40 years ago and this always gets me …….
Well said. I think I was the biggest fan of Dame Diana. Loved her work in all of her post Emma Peel work: The Hospital with George Scott. Theatre of Blood with Vincent Price. And a wonderful performance of Medea on Broadway. Plus the lead on a British television show Mother Love. Never really got to meet her but did spend some time interviewing Patrick Macnee her lead co partner in the Avengers as John Steed. A class act all in her own league.
One of the best lines ever
RIP Diana Rigg (Emma Peel; Lady Olenna Tyrell) She was a goddess
Everytime I watch this Bond I have a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes. Love this Bond. Most underrated. RIP Diana Rigg.
Same with me 😢😢😢
When one looks into his background, they will be amazed. He never had an acting lesson and lied when he wanted to do the part that he had experience, but he still got the part. And performed without any professional tutoring or acting amazing.
The older I get, the more I get out of this entry in the series. It has a maturity and sophistication in its storytelling. Characters grow and evolve and the score is perfection.
She was the BEST Bond girl EVER
Agreed
Totally agree 👍
Very true
Very very true
@9Spank9 Strange that the two best Bond Girl actresses both came from The Avengers. At that time, they were also two of the only ones that could speak English, with the others being dubbed. After that they all seemed to speak English., with Jill St John, & the stunning Jane Seymour the next two up.
What separates her from all the others is this: when you see any of the other Bond girls, you more or less lust for them. When you see Diana Rigg, you want to literally jump through the screen, take her away and abandon any pretense of a former life! The other girls can arouse but with just one look, Diana reaches right down into your soul and captures you forever. She is mesmerizing! She was truly one of a kind.
Agreed!
you described it so well, I agree 100%
Fully agreed
Very true. But, I will say that Maryam D'Abo playing cellist Kara, in "The Living Daylights," gave me the same feeling as Diana Rigg did, playing Tracy. Both actresses were superb in their respective roles, and, they were far more than mere eye candy. You really fell in love with them. And, I think that Bond did, as well.
I have always thought that it is the bond movie ever, he played the character perfectly, and no ruff stuff to rhe women.
George is the oldest living Bond now, bit of respect for the man who commands the BEST JAMES BOND MOVIE EVER
GEORGE LAZENBY WAS JAMES BOND!!!
The more I see this movie the better it gets. Perfect music, the ultimate Bond woman and a perfect James Bond who should have done more Bond movies.
Definitely the greatest Bond movie ever.
I watched this film for the first time today. I was shocked by how emotional the ending was. Lazenby's performance during that moment really sold it for me.
When i heard this melody at the beginning of "No Time to Die", i knew something extraordinary is going to happen in this movie
I love how they referenced it. These are some real treats for Bond fans
Marriage in 1971, fatherhood in 2021.
Agreed!
this is the end of James et me too
I couldn't believe they reprsed Louis Armstrong so lovely and heartwarming for us older Bond fans. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️much love 2 u all out there. B safe and well ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
This film never gets the credit it deserves, Mr Lazenby could have been the best ever bond and Dianna was such a beautiful and worthy bond girl/ wife......it belongs to a far more romantic time.
Lazenby looked the part. But not in the same league as Connery. Good film though
This film is one of the BEST bond ever .
It is the best Bond movie ever.
RIP Diana Rigg best bond girl ever... 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Lazenby was the underrated Bond. This was a fantastic film. I wish he would have done a few more.
yes this is in my top five bond films
Unfortunately he did some poor decisions...
@@alejandropalacios9292 Sir may I know how he made some poor decisions?
@@allensagalla1579 For instance, fighting with the producers and the rest of the cast, and listening at his agent and his bad advices and rejecting the character for next bond movies. That's why the producers re contract at Sean Connery again for Diamonds are Forever, He did poor decisions and sink his career.
@@alejandropalacios9292 Ah, thanks for replying Sir. Now I understand better :-)
This is undeniably the greatest piece of music that John Barry ever offered to the James Bond Franchise, which says a lot since he has delivered nothing but excellent music for every single bond film he was involved in! Rest in Peace Diana Rigg!
John Barry, no wonder! Some of the most beautiful music ever written for a movie. Fell in love with his music for "Somewhere in time." Thank you John. 💖💖
What a unbelievable beauty Diana was .... for eternity .... Rest In Peace, you wonderful woman - and thank you for the opportunity having watched you and your screenplay
REST IN PEACE Diana Rigg, rightfully the only Bond girl EVER to win 007's heart. You were truly one of the most gorgeous babes who ever walked the face of the Earth. 😘
Too right lovey
Rest in peace Diana. You definitely have "all the time in the world". You will be missed
With out doubt the best Bond movie ever. The reason it's a love story.
IMO The most underrated of the Bond movies. His relationship with the late amazing and beautiful Dame Diana Rigg was one of the best he ever had. She was his equal and made George Lazenby's James Bond the most human of the Bond men, except for Timothy Dalton's (another great Bond man who has been underrated). Heartbreaking Bond movie. RIP Dame Diana Rigg
Any other grown men shed a tear at this scene?
Me too
I did, as soon as I saw the blood dripping down on Tracy’s face and then fall down while Bond grabbed her. I cried a bit, it’s very emotional to see a beautiful wife die in front of her husband by a couple of cold-blooded and villainous individuals.
The best romantic film of Bond and filmed in one if the nicest countries in the world, Switzerland.
Also for Bond, he was in the country his mother was from and met his beautiful wife there
The best Bond movie, the best Bond girl and the saddest end
R.I.P. Dame Diana. 😢
Heartbroken, she was my role model.
whatever you say about Lazenby's acting (or beef with Dame ) there was chemistry btw the two leads on screen
What a beautiful version is this. Very fitting for the best James Bond movie ever.
This is beautiful and so fitting at this sad time, the music is heavenly and Diana wonderful classy lady xx
ZSel
Hoşkeldin
Too right lovey!
Rest in peace Diana...you will be the only one Mrs. Bond :(
Rest In Peace, Mrs Bond. She had indeed all the time in the world .
The beautiful Dianna Rigg and underrated George lazenbury. The most romantic of the films
And beautiful soundtrack
You can view this clip thousands of times and feel touched again and again...Lazenby did an amazing performance, I doubt if any other character could do the same...And Diana...melts the toughest heart
Despite what people say, George Lazenby is who makes this film great for me.
Sean Connery did actually regret NOT doing this film when he found out the direction they took .
YEAH! FOR HIS OWN SAKE, Sean Connery should've done this film! I'm NOT taking anything away
from George Lazenby, who I think is, at least, on par with Sean. BUT in a different way. Sean got a
little cocky after five Bond movies. Instead he did that AWFUL "Never Say Never Again" in 1983.😤
Sean should've done "OHMSS" in '69 & "Diamonds Are Forever" in '71. THEN QUIT his Bond journey!
I don't know the order in which they filmed the scenes in the movie, but in the final cut we see Lazenby's acting ability improve throughout. What a difference it would have made to have him return in Diamonds Are Forever. Imagine his rage its opening revenge scene, as compared to Connery's.
@@mr.blackwell5423Sean Connery in This movie It were unforgetable!!!!!!
Her death in the end makes my cry..😭 The only Bond girl with whom Mr Bond wants to spend his life!!
Did Bond get his revenge?
@@robertcuterman2511 I'm not sure😁.
@@robertcuterman2511 For your eyes only - opening scene
@@rickyricky5186 nice... 👍
Bond wanted to spend his life with Vesper Lynd until he thought she'd betrayed him... (But then, when Vesper is dead, M explains that there was no such betrayal and that Vesper had effectively sacrificed herself in the hope of saving Bond, which see did. And then we don't quite know Bond thoughts about her... Until, that is, No Time To Die when Bond visits her grave and says aloud that he misses her and writes a note to her simply saying "forgive me" - even though he now loves Madeleine Swann to the same degree...).
Anyway, OHMSS is superb and yes the death of Tracey is desperately sad...
The most kind and LOVING BOND.
He got married to a woman he loved so dearly!
And then.....
R.I.P Dame Diana , the one and only Mrs James Bond , and to this day my favourite Bond Girl..
Beautiful story. Im crying.
Just watched this film for the first time, and I'm 62... A masterpiece, and very moving.
It was great to hear this song re-used in “No Time To Die”.
no time to die worst bond film, worst villain
@@stephenroger4527 Yeah
This song works better with OHMSS and not with No Time to Die.
@@stephenroger4527 Terrible Bond movie for sure.
It was also used in Casino Royale with Daniel Craig.
A great film. One of the best of the Bonds.
Diana Rigg touched the minds and hearts of millions of people whom she never met, nor knew,, because of her great acting talent, intelligence, humour, and beauty. I am tearful at her loss, but in a strange way not sad. Because she accomplished so much in her profession. From her television years in the " Avengers " to her cinematic roles. From Shakespeare to the Greek tragedies. But for me she will always be Mrs. Emma Peel in " The Avengers, " from my boyhood. She was perfect. You are free Diana of " the thousand natural shocks that flesh is heir to." A line from Shakespeare's " To be or not to be." From Hamlet.
From the Republic of Ireland.
Beautiful tribute to a great Bond film-John Barry at his best with this sublime soundtrack.
Don’t forget Louis Armstrong the composer if the original song
R.I.P. Diana.... Thanks for the memories.
All the time in the world... and no time to die.
Such a good film, it's as simple as that,
The most underrated Bond film with the best Bond girl in my opinion. Like Lezenby's Bond also
radentsgo2 Maybe. I agree it’s a really good movie even with a sad ending.
Of all the Bond films, OHMSS follows the novel source material almost verbatim.
The problem with Diana is, in 1st line it becomes a Diana Rigg movie and, besides, has something to do with James Bond...
One of my favorite Bond films and I agree. Mad respect for Lazenby's Bond.
RIP dame Diana, one of the best bond films ever she's resting now
Touching & sad ending; tinge of sadness & nostalgia as I watched this movie in cinema w/ my parents as a student
It’s rather interesting coming back to this film after No Time To Die, which feels almost like a more modern version of this story in some places. I don’t really agree that this is one of the best Bond films, but I feel it ranks comfortably near the top.
Well, if modern version mean everything upside down than I would agree, which gives this movie even greater value… Hate to be that guy but I will never swallow the bitter pill which they served…
@@josefb.6633 Man killing off James bond does not feel right. Plus giving him a family . I mean for fcks sake daniel Craig's tenure as bond should have ended after skyfall.
@@bhutochakrabarti4173 I don’t think it should’ve even started, I don’t really like his portrayal of bond, it should’ve ended with pierce Brosnan.
This movie is somehow different from Bond, s routine movies. Beautiful location, lovely Diana Rigg and a tight story line. Lazenby is it's weak link.
You’ve captured lightning in a bottle in this 5:12 minute tribute. I was a huge Connery fan. But this was by far my favorite Bond film. What a marvelous Christmas gift. ⚔️
“Thy dawn, O Master of the World, thy dawn;
For thee the sunlight creeps across the lawn,
For thee the ships are drawn down to the waves,
For thee the markets throng with myriad slaves,
For thee the hammer on the anvil rings,
For thee the poet of beguilement sings.”
The most underrated movie of all time? Great cast, Diana Rigg is the most beutiful Bond Girl and Lazenby is a very good Bond.
Spine tingling. Beautiful lady, film, and music.
What a fantastic James Bond film of all time
Top James Bond theme, period. Others great, yes, but this fufills the essence of Bond films, completely. Just absolutely wonderful indeed, friends 🧡.
Imagine not crying at the final scene
She couldn't, she was dead.
Great tribute to a beautiful angel-she was in the best Bond film ever! R.I.P Diana xx
Dianna Rigg is the one and only bond girl. Perfect casting and a perfect lady, rip Dame Rigg. Stephen King
Best bond film by a country mile. It's a love story.😊
RIP Diana Rigg. You will always be loved and never forgotten.💖😢
Sublime and beautiful soundtrack by the master John Barry, and of course great James Bond film with George Lazenby.😎✌️💖❤️❤️🤙🎬👰🏼🥃🍸💥🔫🤵🏻🎞️🎥🙋♂️👌👏👍
Or without.
Lisbon and its suburbs are the location of the city, seaside, horse riding, wedding and garden scenes. Superb soundtrack.
One of my top Bond films!
She was the balance Lazenby as a novice actor needed.
Which is probably why as a couple on screen THIS movie has gone on to become the best Bond movie ever
agreed
What a truly beautiful woman ..RIP Diana Rigg....
What a Lovely song ❤🥰
Best bond movie by far. So underrated.
Favourite car,girl,story,soundtrack & George isn’t bad either.🍸
This is magnificent,I wish we could have one version of this with Louis Armstrong singing
One of John Barry's best.
What a great couple and what a beautiful and memorable song. Great film and very effective and convincing interpretation. Only recently almost everyone agrees that Lazenby was a worthy heir of Sean Connery and that he should have starred in all subsequent Bond films.
The best Bond film. No gadgets, a lot of plot. Everybody knocks Lazenby because he followed Connery, and he only did one film.
One of the best bond movie , seriously
Diana Rigg was a dream how could you not fall madley in love with her!!
One of the best bond films ever! Such a lovely warm cosy film and i must admit george is fab!
Rest with the angels, Mrs Bond. RiP Dame Diana Rigg
For me, this is the best bond movie ever.
I'm on board with that. It took me decades to realize this, lol...but, I'm there. 👍
Great soundtrack, beautiful Diana Rigg, one of the best ever Bond films!
Undoubtedly the best Bond movie that was ever produced ❤
Diana was ultimately gorgeous we instantly fell in love with her!!
Cannot believe that I will be saying goodbye to a man called Bond, James Bond with this song playing in the end credits... It was a wonderful ride, Commander Bond. Your legacy shall live on forever.
I know right that ending broke my heart. Especially as Madeline begins to tell her daughter the story of James Bond.
@@cooperwolfe5478 Yeah exactly! Never though that the phrase "Bond, James Bond" would be used in such a context!
lol. They totally rebooted it once with Craig in 2006 they’ll just totally reboot it again. It’s not even a big deal.
More James Bond. Very nice. Beautiful soundtrack. Great video. You're the best. Thank you.
I fall in love as she was Emmy Peel - and this film was her best and the badest end of a Bond Film ever!
RIP Diana Rigg - the best and most beautiful Bondgirl IMHO!
Although Bond is (and will always be a lone wolf), part of me wishes he and Tracy had that happy ever after ending. Or at least one more adventure kicking ass together. But alas it was not meant to be......
This film shows that Bond's destiny is ''On Her Majesty's Secret Service''.
This movie came with two gorgeous musical numbers and one gorgeous actress.
Last scene was heartbreaking
Great theme song and movie !
The best James bond film ever and a Great interpretation by George lanzeby
Lazenby’s my fav Bond, hands down. It wasn’t until this film I’d ever seen Bond scared. Connery was good but glib, he played everything off.
This was by far one of the best Bond films. The ending though was so hurtful.
The BEST Bond film with the BEST Bond girl.
Absolutely spot on that was. Top drawer, sir...respect is due. ❤❤
This is the best Bond book and movie! Ian Fleming rules!
This is almost like the forgotten Bond movie, although no one can forget Diana Rigg. It was well done.
This is just beautifully created
By the top 3 and absolute DARK Bond ...John barry's music is a master piece!
RIP Diana Rigg... greatest Bond girl
My favourite Bond film. Cheers from Canada ❤😊
