Amazing amazing tutorial I have been looking for a ways to edit much faster been doing alot of Birthday photography lately and this tutorial has been so condensed and straight to the point.. Loved it!
I have never re touched a photo, I use photoshop for a lot of other things, but never re touching people and OMG my photo turned out amazing , thank you, thank you!! This was easy to understand and I learned so much in 15 mins.
This is already a lot what you do! Looks great of course. I thinks it's too much for wedding photographers. I would even do a semiauto frequency Sep. When it's well done and used subtly, the skin looks natural and clean. One tip : it's not necessary to switch between dodge and burn tool. Pressing alt switches on the fly. And I would do it on a 50% Grey layer with soft light above.
Love Love Love this tutorial! I've done so many different retouching techniques, and even tho this is a quick retouching lesson I feel this helps me more than what I was doing before. Thank you so much for this.
Awesome video! Photoshop is so versatile these days it’s always cool to see other people’s methods. Just came across you on IG the other day and I gotta say you got some real clean work :)
Thanks so much for this! Quick question, did I miss something when you did the texture layer? You were using the paint brush tool at 100% opacity correct and normal blending? And the layer was still at 100% as well - how come it didn't brush on just like a solid color? Was there another setting somewhere that made it more transparent or something? Great video though!
i think the frequency separation by adding a colour layer ( gaussian blur) and then a texture layer ( apply image-substract) works better for skin sculpting. just my 2 cents on it
love this but I think the key to getting a quick retouch in photoshop is about getting the picture right in camera with a beautiful subject and good raw processing
I've never used photoshop and just started trying. I found the dodge tool but I can't seem to select my skin colour on the colour bit in the top right. is there a way to find it?
So weird I never watched any tutorials or had any formal training but this is pretty much how I arrived at doing it after years of grinding away. Never really got the layer mask thing seemed pretentious
Hi, Kayleigh! Could you please do a video about new school kinda edit of the skin when you can see pores and texture and how to enhance it, its latest beauty shooting trend on instagram, i don't really know how's its called, so i cant explain better than this, sorry. I hope you do understand, what i mean
Cool vid, thanks you! Everytime I watch retouching videos like this, I'm thinking if there is good way, to done most of retouching in ACR, because RAW is where we all usually start... I'm everytime opening RAW as "smart object" and than most of time I'm going back to ACR to tweak it again... so keeping retouching workflow nondestructive as much as possible is really important. What about such vid?
That's an interesting point! It is hard to find skin retouching techniques available in ACR that would have a similar effect. I think Lightroom could potentially be a better option for even more limited retouching as there's more tools available. 🙂 Thanks for watching!
I think the hardest thing about skin retouching is making it look *NATURAL.* You can't have weird blotches of skin looking weird, or paint marks over blackheads and acne.
Hello I saw your training and it was very, very good. But the problem with all the tutorials they put on RUclips is that they do the tutorials on photos that they take with professional cameras and lenses. These photos are of beautiful women whose faces are smooth and beautiful without retouching. Please provide a complete tutorial of photos taken with a normal camera and lens and have a hard face for retouching (for example, a male portrait).
This is the best video on quick retouch, that I've seen yet- very clearly explained and demonstrated- thanks and good on ya✌️🤩
Thank you so much!! 😊
FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! oh my goodness ive been searching for days pulling my hair out and ive finally found the one. THANK YOU!!!! SUBSCRIBED!!!!!

This is a good start for me on how to retouch skin!
i think the frequency separation by adding a colour layer ( gaussian blur) and then a texture layer ( apply image-substract) works better for skin sculpting. just my 2 cents on it
Hello! Thanks for the help in mastering this technique! Your lessons inspired me to create my work.
I just downloaded photoshop, Im so confused😂 however your videos are very helpful!
A simple and understandable tutorial. :) The Spot Healing Brush Tool solves a lot of problems.
Just a thought: I would add grain with a bit of gaussian blur to the painted layers for texture.
This is superb, thanks!

Is something wrong with my amplifier or is your voice de-centered and mostly on the left channel?
Awsome work
