- I have really been craving some chopped beef sandwiches, but didn't want to smoke a whole brisket for them. So, I found this chuck roast at the local grocery store and fired up the Weber Kettle.
Seasoned with Sucklebusters 1836 Beef Rub and cooked with @JealousDevil lump charcoal with cherry wood. Topped with Smoking' Ghost Spooky Sweet sauce.
Simple and amazing!!!

Excellent cook! I’m a big fan of using my Kettle, now I gotta do a Chuckie. Thanks for sharing. Hope you have a great weekend. Cheers
Thank you! Chuck roasts are the best! Hope you have a great weekend too!! Cheers!
Excellent
Thank you!
That really was an awesome looking sandwich. I must try that sometime.
I highly recommend it my friend! Smoked chuck is so good
That looks absolutely awesome mouth watering super delicious! Seems so simple to do and now it's off to the store to see if I can replicate. Thanks for another great video we really do appreciate you. Cheers!
It really is simple and amazing. I crushed a couple of them! lol. As always, THANK YOU checking out the video my friend!
Nicely done! I do the same for chopped beef - so easy and money
Absolutley! So good! Thanks for the feedback!
I like doing chuck roasts on my off set. I've never understood, however, as to why it is called the "Poor Man's" brisket. It's usually, at least in my area, a couple more dollars a pound than brisket. Good video.
Thank you! I think it used to be cheaper per pound. I don’t know. But, I think the overall price is cheaper. Cause you’re not buying a 15lb chuck roast like you would buy a brisket. So it’s going to be cheaper overall as compared to buying a whole brisket. At least that’s what I’m guessing??
A little hit of yellow mustard goes real well with the dill pickle slices ! 2 or 3 Garlic cloves inserted into the beef before the cook also add some tender flavor.
I love these chuck sandwiches. Some folks call them "The Diablo Sandwich" as they will add a couple of perroncini's on the bun and dribble a bit of its juice on the beef.
The lower vent on the Weber...is that fully open or about half open during the entire cook?
I usually keep the vent wide open on the bottom and control with the top vent.
The mustard and pepperoncini mix sounds amazing! I need to try!
@@RaceviceSmokehouse Obliged. The juice of the pepperoncini works best when cooked in a dutch oven but I reckon you can soak it prior to a cook. Try that mustard on a pastrami as well...pickles and yellow mustard, my favorite.
Good vid but just Too much talking to explain simple points.
I appreciate the feedback. I try to make it as simple as possible for anyone who may have never done this before. I’m always working on tightening things up.
