Can confirm…Shimas do have 6xguns, lol. I see lots of dd players who don’t open up their guns at all. I understand, they wanna lose detection, but shimas can do 10k or 20k or more w/guns. In a close match, that makes a difference.
Love the tier makers. Watch all of them. That being said.. traditionally in games there is one Meta. So it can be a little confusing when there is a dozen “meta” ships in the same class.
Btw - i really enjoy your insightful and helpful videos. but I find this recurring phrase 'in the right hands' out of place. every ship can be op in the right hands. therefore, this phrase does not make one ship better than another. anyway thanks for this video. I'm curious how the list goes on.
But that isn't true. Even in the right hands, Khaba still has issues. Z42 will not do what other DDs can do in the right hands. You might be thinking of "In the right situation" but for lesser ships, that situation comes by less and less compared to those ships in higher ranks. Glad you enjoyed the video but we are discuss if you think I'm wrong on anything. I'm not perfect and neither is Red. You might even change our mind.
I don't understand why the Daring is always so praised. Of course it is very maneuverable, has a lot of smoke and 360 turrets with a good reload time, BUT it is nowhere near in the same league as for example the EU or Italian destroyers (and some others). Let's take Småland, for example: As a dd driver, you can't even get close to it without being torched. Hide in the smoke: no chance! A cv driver with at least some brain leaves you completely alone. Otherwise, the birds will quickly disappear from the sky. BB riders are sinking faster than they realize what's going on. Then there are the light cruisers, which is the only real hurdle for every dd player. This list goes on with so many other little beasts, each with far more gimmicks that lead to victory. But like I said, the Daring only shows up so much further down the list. = too slow, no aa and no other op equipment.
This is the beauty of tier maker. We can discuss it. While Daring is slow and little aa, it has a lot going for it with its torp power, its ability to tank with 360 turrets, loads of smoke, sonar and extremely nimble. It has the power to handle just about every ship in many different ways. That is why its so strong.
it's always good to discuss. It's really exciting to see how other players prefer different ships and the way to play. That's what makes the game exciting - there's something for everyone. and apart from that it can also be good that other ships (like the Daring in this case) work better on other servers. You rarely see them on the EU server and if there is one then it's probably in the wrong hands. Tournaments, however, are a different story.

Each ship in meta defined a particular play style though because there isn't a king of all DDs. Each does something very differently
