2 to 3 metres. Not too bad, just not a lot of water between them haha!

Great video! What speed were you towing when it was really rough?

No such thing as an overbuilt tow rig, good setup.

It’s always so hard to tell from video but how big were those waves?

Towing in those conditions, perhaps you should of dropped the motor leg down to help stop the yawing ,I've done it heaps of times, it definitely helps IMO

I know what you mean but Mercury doesn’t recommend that. That’s why we use the old tyres as a drogue off the stern on the Whaler. Thanks for watching 👍

Nice work, nice vid . . One for the suggestion box - Give a couple of witches hats (inside each other facing base forward) on the line in front of your tyre drouge. . . .

Thanks and interesting you say that because I met a captain in Hamilton island last year who recognized me and showed me his witches hat drogue. It will feature in an upcoming video I’m yet to edit so stay tuned! Cheers

@@ProfessionalBoatCare your already on it, I'm a Coxwain, these days I run a charter boat, in another life a sail maker a I found the witches hat drouge a good thing. The other beaut thing is that I find local councils are happy to donate them to boaties!!

Dumb question, never towed much but why not trim the Whalers engines down and put them in gear?
