I just love seeing your dogs run! They are just so happy!
I started my peppers and tomatoes inside. It is still too cold here to plant outdoors. This morning it was 18 degrees and we had snow yesterday. Warmer weather is coming soon though! I like to plant pole beans. Last year we had a great harvest of Kentucky Wonders. I canned a bunch of them and we have enjoyed having them all winter.
I had to laugh when you said your chickens like the tomatoes. We always give ours tomatoes when we are working in the garden. They play "chicken rugby" with them. One will run and grab one and the rest give chase 😂. Always fun to watch. They all eventually get some.
Have a great evening! Take Care and God Bless ❤️

Hey there! 18 degrees! Com on! Enough of that already! 😂 It's time to get down to business! I am so glad you started some things inside though! 😀
I love the chicken rugby. I told dad it was chicken football just the other day. I always feel bad if I just have a couple of tomatoes, so I try to throw some other stuff in there too. There are always a couple girls that are the star players every time! The others don't stand a chance, and some have just given up and don't even try anymore. I threw a good number of blueberries and me and dad just watched them fly through the air to get to them. They are so entertaining and also so appreciative! Thanks for watching and as usual commenting. I love it! 🥰 Have a great night! ❤️Lolly

another great video! Just an FYI on the ground cherries, THE PLANTS GET HUGE! I've grown them a couple of years in the ground and in containers. One plant in the ground took over an entire 3'x10' bed. It would have gotten even larger but I pruned it back to keep it somewhat contained. I trellised the one in the container and it got over 6' tall. The plant on the trellis had to be pruned back a lot and didn't produce nearly as much fruit as the ground grown plant. Looking forward to seeing your progress. Thanks for sharing!

I will keep an eye on it for sure! I look forward to eating them and if they grow a bunch so will my family and chickens!😁

@@morninggloryfarmstead I really like the way they taste. I prefer to eat them before they are fully ripe and have a nice tart flavor. My wife and kids prefer them fully ripe. Good luck!

New watcher. You stack after you fill, water and plant?

Hey Theresa! I am so glad you found my channel! Good question! I am in an unusual circumstance right now. I am moving all 7 of my GreenStalks to one patio that I just had made. It is not ready for all the weight yet. I am allowing my animals to reclaim the "catio" and am moving my Greenstalks to the other patio that was just made. I am just getting them closer to the patio as I prepare and plant. I get major storms and wind here and there is no where level in the yard to put them where they won't fall over. So, I am going to leave them separated until the patio has dried all the way.
I also have 26 tiers that all have food in them still and will be taking them apart to amend and clean out anyway so all of them will be laid out in the backyard soon! I often plant when they are separated if I am amending or they are new, but I don't water them and then stack them. When it's time to stack I will make sure they have dried out some because they are so heavy. I have mentioned that in my other videos.... to make sure you get them where you want them before you water them! They are heavy to me without water! Haha!
Thanks for spending a few minutes of your time with me today! I hope you have a great rest of your Wednesday! Lolly

Hey Theresa, This is not about gardening specifically, but since you are new to my channel, if you want to get to know a little about me you can watch this video. It offers insight as to who I am and my perspective on life as well as why I am so passionate about my GreenStalks!
