I like the fact GB is working hard to upgrade the D-line, even if only in depth. Usually injuries on the D-line every season, so depth there is critical.
At the very least, Spencer Waege brings a good athletic profile to Green Bay. He is listed a tick under 6’5” and 295 pounds while boasting a Relative Athletic Score of 9.58 out of 10. That score is boosted thanks to a 40-yard dash time 4.91 seconds and a 3-cone time of 7.19 seconds. It’s not a surprise that our General Manager Brian Gutekunst showed interest in Spencer Waege with that kind of athletic profile. Spencer Waege will be an interesting story heading into training camp. However, the Packers already have quite a bit of depth on the defensive line. Kenny Clark remains one of Green Bay’s biggest stars. At 28 years old, he’s already a 3-time Pro Bowler with 34 career sacks. He’ll likely start alongside former 1st-round draft pick Devonte Wyatt, who finally started to flash as pass rusher in 2023. Behind those 2 are a handful of intriguing options. T.J. Slaton has been a run-stiffing nose tackle, but may not fit as well in Jeff Hafley’s new defensive scheme. Karl Brooks is a much more interesting name to keep an eye on. The 2023 rookie was an edge rusher at Bowling Green, but flashed on the inside last season. He finished the year with 4 sacks and a forced fumble in limited playing time. Behind those 4, there may be an open competition to keep another defensive tackle on the 53-man roster. Former 7th-round draft pick Jonathan Ford could steal that spot, but hasn’t done much in the 2 seasons with the Green Bay Packers. If Green Bay wants to keep a 5th defensive tackle, then Spencer Waege may have a very real chance at shining in training camp. Go Pack Go 💚💛

I'm thinking Van Ness moves to DE also. He is a bigger faster version of Ex Hawkeye/Packer Aaron Kampman. Who was a very good 4-3 end.
Luke, you're one of only two football news related channels I dont scrub out of my life during the offseason. Keep up the awesome work, you're a dude.
I appreciate that
North Dakota State is a Championship program, Spencer could be a good addition.
From pushing his hand up a cow to pushing his way up the Packers roster nice lol
This dude will hustle !!! All farm boys do !!!
Sounds like a good pickup.
NOOOOOO!!!! I thought I was first😞
A breached calf is crazy to see 🫤
his ras score was pretty good he might have some upside nun major maybe back of the roster kinda guy
Remember, Christian Watson is from ND State... maybe he's got the inside scoop on Waege.
I hope they can get an extension with Clark I do not want to see him leave cuz the Rams are already looking at them
What about our kicker
All these transactions at this time are camp bodies...
that's sort of a joke but at the same time not really lol.
