I saw the title of your video and read your thorough write up and just couldn't bear to watch it. As crazy as it may sound, I'm super sensitive when it comes to this this precious boy and just can't watch him suffer in any way. Seeing him get stung inside his beak would make me emotional. I did see him this afternoon and noticed a mark or injury of some kind to the side of his beak. Would something like a sting cause that do you think? Thank you 😢
Lisa, I too am a sensitive soul so no one feeling sensitive is ever anything that I don't comprehend. 🥰 ~No, a sting would not penetrate their beaks. I noticed that myself, on the left side of his beak. I stared at it when they did some zooming into him today and I could not tell for sure what it is. I had been suspecting just dried up, leftover fish bits/skin stuck there or some other sort of debris. I also don't know if he scraped it somehow. ~~So we will just keep on watching and see if it doesn't eventually just go away! That's what I'm hoping.
I was watching the live when we think he was stung. I say we because I thought the same thing when it happened. Still looking for sister to visit. Have not seen her since day before yesterday. Hopefully I have just missed her.
Yes, it seemed clear to me from the git-go, the poor guy suffered a sting, bless him... ~And yes, I too have not seen Sum-eh since Friday evening. I just scrolled through Hellgate Osprey's Twitter and did not see any mention. pix, etc of her since Friday as well. ~~However, as we've seen, it's not unusual for her to not be at the nest for varying lengths of time. Hopefully we see her fly on in soon so she can let us all know that she is just fine!🥰
@@DLionheart I saw her today land on the nest but she didn’t stay long because brother was right on her heels screaming and she had to fly off before he got there. I guess it’s his nest now. Saw the same thing happen earlier when mom was on nest. Appears nobirdie wants to suffer his wrath for being on his nest. I could be wrong.
@@emilyward9943 Wasn't that Iris? Iris takes off when Antali comes screaming on in. Lol. She doesn't want to risk getting body slammed by accident! She knows her Antali. 🤣
@@DLionheart is that Iris at 14:55? I thought I saw the white trim around the feathers and the necklace but it could have just been how the sun was shining on her and me wanting to see sister so bad. Guess I need to compare the necklaces now to get a better idea of who is who when I can’t get a good look at the feathers. I think Iris’s necklace would be more pronounced?
Well we know they do good things for the environment, right? We just don't want them bothering our beloved osprey family darn it! They live in the nest (rt along w/the little birds who live there also, during their own nesting season that they had earlier) and they are a little clean-up crew - eating up fish bits on the nest. ~But yes, when it comes to relentlessly being all over fish when the osprey are trying to eat? Nasty indeed and how very rude! Wait until they are done please! 🤣😂
@@TinkerTailor4303 YVW! 😀 ~Many viewers have thought this to be so as well due overall body size, (as per parental and sibling comparisons), markings and behaviors over time. Sure, there have been some who think otherwise, but I would venture to say most would agree re Sum-eh prob female and Antali prob male. I've been w/this belief as well. ~~Great question btw, so TY! 🥰
Antali❤❤❤😊1+1+...fish-party...the fish is the sing of life😊Thanks video❤😊
YVW - Thanks for watching! 🥰
😊❤
Oh yeah, I finally got to see Anatali fly with his fish yesterday when he had all those fish.
Take your fish and fly, Antali!

I miss this baby. It's always a little sad when they leave the nest.
Meeeee too and yes, it sure is - a lot sad.❣❣❣❣

@@DLionheart I’m going to find where I think I saw sister and give you the time stamp. It’s a couple hours after Iris flies off before he gets there.

Do we have confirmation as to the sexes of the offspring?
No and we won't have such from this nest bec they do not band the young.
@@DLionheart Doesn't Dr Greene usually make his best, educated guess? Has he done that yet?
@@TinkerTailor4303 Yes, he and others have done so. The general consensus is = Sum-eh is most likely a female, Antali most likely male.
@@DLionheart Thanks!👍
