- The wire easily puts curve of spee on the upper arch, and can be used to torque the molars buccally. Intrusion or extrusion of anterior teeth can also be accomplished. When flipped, it can be used to expand the lower arch. This is truly a multi-functional arch!
Often, a deep bite can be corrected with braces by placing a curve in the wire that counteracts (or reverses) the curvature in the upper teeth.

Thanks for watching!
I’ve had a lip bumper for 4 years now. I have really crooked teeth on the bottom. One tooth is behind another tooth. Nothing has changed anything and my lip bumper is not even close to my teeth it’s also not plastic is all metal with curves in the middle. I think soon I need to get braces bc it’s not doing anything.
I'm getting my braces off in February
I currently have ligature wire with braces to close the spaces
Great news! keep the good job!! 😉 Thanks for watching and don't forget to like our video that helps a lot!! 🧡🦷
I'm about a week from getting braces, expander, elastics, and headgear over the course of my treatment... I'm so scared and nervous
you”ll probably only need elastics, worse case an expander but the end result is worth it :)
@@emory4651 what I put above is what is on the list that I saw for my treatment when my parents were discussing it
@@DesertDog sorry i’m dumb but you’ll be okay and also headgear is pretty old fashioned and they don’t really use it that much anymore so i think you’re fine
You got this my friend!! It's ok to feel anxious but remember it's not everything right away you got this!! 😉 Thanks for watching and don't forget to like our video that helps a lot!! 🧡🦷

Hi my friend and the braces treatment it's a journey and sometimes during the process your teeth might look that they are not in the right position and maybe because they are not in the right position Yet... just try to be a little bit more patient and trust your dentist!

Q. If the upper premolar has come out, is the process of touching the lower premolar with the upper canine in the bite correct?
I had my first follow up after getting braces. I didn't expect it to hurt since putting the braces on the first time was painless, but it did especially since one premolar is at a weird angle for the wire to kind of hook into. Is that normal and typical, for adjustment to be painful?
