Love, love, love watching the joy between all of you as Jan and Jane sort through the fabrics, make choices etc. I can hardly wait for the next video! Greetings from Sk Canada 🇨🇦
I adore this video, Kate! I know you have made a point that the green sofa is not a political space and all are welcome, I just have to say how meaningful this is to myself as a member of the LGBTQ+ community. Thank you for this and the love you share with your friends and viewers!
The Yin & Yang Quilt Series captures the spirit of this quilt. Jan and Jane are individuals but still two parts of a whole. I can’t wait to see the whole process.
I can't wait to see this entire series. I've knit, crocheted, embroidered and quilted for 60 years and the most wonderful part of quilting is remembering every little bit of fabric and thread in past quilts and still being thrilled to watch women quilting a new one. Every quilter has a story and every quilt has a soul. Magical really.
Kate, It is no surprise that you have so many friends and each one is just lovely. What a joy to share your love of quilting with Jan and Jane. Looking forward to watching all the different fabrics come together as one memorable quilt. Again, we all get to learn along with your friends - we will all be accomplished quilters! Thank you Kate and Anna ❤
I have never heard of the Linus Blanket Project, it might be a nice way to get in to quilting, starting small and gentle. Lovely to help your friends create a beautiful quilt from your wonderful fabric stash x
I smiled all the way through this... How wonderful to spend time with dear friends and have a life long quilt to show for it... Magical. Thank you Kate for being you and sharing with us 💕
The quilt will be a unique testament to collaboration, featuring the creative input of Kate, Jan, and Jane and highlighting the contributions of fabric designers. Witnessing the creative process unfold is both enjoyable and inspiring.
Appreciate you showing this. I haven't quilted In decades. About to start on a few projects. My life style has changed and can spend more time at home. I'm very excited to get into it. I find your videos help me greatly. Thank you
Love the camaraderie in this video! It's so much fun to quilt along with a friend and chat through fabric choices. Always love to see Kate sharing her joy and knowledge!
What Lovely Strong Women……talking….discussing….willing to compromise when desired….Kate your method of helping the ladies to process through….going forward…..relax and breathe…awwww-hawwwww moments …..good questions…..helping all of us to bring the vision into FOCUS….
My own color wash Terry quilt is in progress, so I’m thrilled that you’re going to be making another one with Jan and Jane. I know the three of you will have tons of fun, and I’m looking forward to seeing the progress.
I hope to get one started…but in the middle of making quilts for 2 great grandkids that are on the way! But what a fun & beautiful way to use up all of my scraps of material❣️ Thank you, Kate for teaching us this particular quilt 😊
I really enjoyed this one 😊 I now understand why people enjoy my videos when I am chatting with friends. I would love to work on a quilt with you it would be such fun and I'd learn so much! Looking forward to the next 👏
How nice to meet Jan and Jane! I remember when you made the bunting. I am slogging through a disappearing 9 patch quilt top and this has really motivated me to keep going.
This is going to be a fun series to watch! I like seeing Jane and Jan choosing fabrics, cutting and ironing. It's a big project and good to have a lot of participation! 😃💖🌟
It was fun to watch the fabric scraps being piled up and then the process of choosing by Jane and Jan. Anna’s videography and editing is wonderful. 👍💚🪡🧵
Thank you Kate, Jan and Jane for sharing in your story with us all. I am a multi craft lover but i am totally with Jane and the numbers, precision, etc, sorry Jan and Kate. This is going to be a bonny quilt when it is finished with the two sides meeting and mixing, with what both ladies love in the center of it and that is how a wedding quilt should be for me. You are not both the same, you have your own likes and dislikes, but there is somethings that you are united in, which like this quilt, brings you both together. I would have helped you make the 5000 pompoms ladies quite happily, as it used to be what my brother Jim and i did as children for Mum, with the cardboard circles made out of cereal packets. I bet you were glad when you or if you found out those wonderful new pompom makers, they make making them a piece of cake. See you both in the next part of your quilt story. Crafty hugs to you all, from Norah, Glenochil, Scotland
I am working or finishing a quilt for my son's 29th birthday on December 28th. All hand stitching. I can't believe its almost done. Two more sides of binding then wash and mail it..❤
Lovely video as always, it will be such a personal quilt. As an aside, I love Jane's top in the shades of blue, such pretty fabric. I will start a worldwide 🌐 search to fine it now. Love to you all. ❌️⭕️❌️⭕️❌️⭕️🩷❤️🩷
Time stamp 21:54 ----music, friends simply in time and space with one another. Those few seconds were balm to my frazzled soul today. THANK YOU THANK YOU
It was quite fascinating to watch the two pick the colors they liked - and I look forward to the rest of the process. Very interesting to watch two individuals work on one quilt.
I ❤️ patchwork also! I ❤️ my heirloom quilts made by my grandmothers in Virginia(USA)! Some of my dresses are represented, as well as other females in my family! Also, my Daddy’s shirts are represented! Precious memories indeed! 💜🪡🧵✂️
Kate you will have to go back andvsee the Jane and Jan's faces when you dumped the fabric on the table. There faces were objects a kid in a candy shop. They had wonderful smiles on there faces. They are going to be a great series.
I will translate to you.. I understand when you are talking.. So i listen you and the enregy you make. Thank you. "Thank you kate I feel less alone in having this love of the material. I discover you and listen to you while embroidering a dancer's costume, a "burlesque dancer". It's very sensuel dance. Full of rhinestone pearls and in the quality of time we find something other than talent we find the soul of the person who makes this work." Thank you Raphaële
I found your wonderful channel about 4 weeks ago and I’ve binged almost all of your posts. All I can say is wow you’re a lovely lady and I love everything you do. Plus I’ve learnt a lot from you. Love all the cats in the videos what a great life they’ve had living with you at The Last Homely House. I’m a lady of a similar age to you recently retired from 40 plus years as a nurse and really enjoying retirement. Stay well Kate, take care and now to Patreon to catch up on the posts there! 😊
I would have never thought about including the recipient in the design, or fabric selection process, as I love to surprise people. But I can see how these memories will make the quilt even more cherished. Beautiful video
This is such a treat. I hope the women shars their cinema room. I love their concept to bring their quilt to life that encompasses each of their desires. Lovely. ❤
I love this so much! My sister is getting married this summer and I am making a similar sort of quilt for her- there really are endless ways to lay out all these little squares. It is so good to see the three of you in the process all together. Looking forward to seeing how this quilt progresses in the series!
Jan and Jane will REALLY love this quilt when It’s done. I loved the “combine our styles but not in a compromising way”. Compromising is fine but that each can HAVE what they like and they can both still love the quilt. If anyone can accomplish it it’s Kate! Btw I made my color wash quilt with 4” (finish at 3.5”) blocks just to make it go a tiny bit faster. ❤
I could use a team in my sewing room some days. This looks like a fun project especially with bridging the likes of two people who want something that they both enjoy.
Oh my....sitting here on the lime green sofa in the Netherlands watching this wonderful project.......a little bit jaleous (oh boy, they sit in the last homely house! With Kate! In front of the Terry quilt! ) It is like sitting on the set of Bonanza. Or the little house on the prairy.....Looking foreward to see how this quilt will develope.
Thank you Jane and Jan for being part of the series. I LOVED watching you both dig into all the fabric. Look forward to following you all along the way of making the quilt and MAYBE a peek into your cinema room with quilt once finished. Sounds a fab room. Love Leanne New Zealand xx
I remember that wedding, six years ago ? Crumbs love watching your different quilting ideas and the quilts you make.m this was attacked me in the first place to start watching you, after I saw you on your spinning wheel. I believe your first time talking to us ,. So it’s been lovely watching you grow since then. The ladies may like the rotary cutting mat, I find it really useful. Look forward to seeing things moved on a bit. Yes I do like watching these sort of things. Thank you.
Thank you, Jan and Jane, for letting us in on this journey! I can't wait to see how the two sides marry into a glorious middle! A true Partners quilt in the making!
i love this idea so much,, in crochet we do something called corner 2 corner and it made me think of doing something like that with this quilt, one side be each person then in the middle they merge and become one maybe
What fun! Part of the present is them getting to contribute; it will really reflect their taste and be a part of them, plus they'll have a new skill. Great content for the channel too. Thanks for taking us all along with you on this super fun project!
Love, love, love watching the joy between all of you as Jan and Jane sort through the fabrics, make choices etc. I can hardly wait for the next video! Greetings from Sk Canada 🇨🇦

Me too ❤
" Where two loves meet" would be a lovely title/name for the quilt.
