As HUGE fan of Airwolf as I am and think that the original theme is nigh perfection, I have to admit that your rendition of this gives it a very ethereal feel to it, giving it another step that mythical status that the helicopter was supposed to have in the show.
Thanks for sharing that with me! I'm glad that these instruments can give it that quality. I never fully know how my creations will resonate with people. It's great to know that you really enjoyed this.
Both tunes were well done, but I agree with another poster. They would sound even better if you play Air Wolf first. Some people may not see the point of multiple instruments of the same kind, but differing materials being used in a performance. However, different materials sound a bit different, and the tonal quality is also different. The main types of musical materials are wood, metal, and somtimes glass. I'm no musician, but I can definitely tell the difference. I prefer wind instruments made of wood. I really appreciate the complexity when a musician or singer clones themselves for a performance. This performance was very well done
It seems this video is exactly what I needed to enjoy tonight. Really helped me relax and remember great childhood memories through great new renditions
@@ThePercussionRealm I had never even seen some of those instruments before. I didn't realize you could make these sounds with percussion only. I really liked the sounds you made with the "inverted drums" / bowl during Knight Rider. Awesome work
Beautiful renditions of 2 of my favorite TV themes from my childhood! You are clearly a VERY skilled percussionist and I hope you are teaching your art to students. Well done, sir! :-)
I think both themes are great. Although your band used different musical instruments , they took me away to my childhood and that gave me goosebumps. I was a real fan of these two fantastic shows of 80's. Thank you so much. Keep up the good work.
AirWolf was a show about a stolen futuristic attack helicopter being used by a guy named Stringfellow Hawk who was on a never-ending quest to find his brother in a global conspiracy, fighting various episodic villains, from cartels to crime lords with their own PMC group. Yes. The pilot’s name really was Stringfellow Hawk, lol.
Dude!!! That was so cool. It hit me right in the nostalgia button. I love the use of the KITT swish sound as part of the rythmn. I also loved the use of the steel pan to raise the tension. Great idea using the musical saw in place of the synth 👍 Also, the video quality was great. The entire thing is exceptionally smooth. Way to go 🤜🤛
How is this 3ys old and just now finding me. I listen to all the Kight Rider covers i fet recommended... And i didnt even get recommended this. I came here via Mega Man. RUclips dropping the ball on me.
We need a new Airwolf. I'm thinking of a sleeker, faster version of the helos they had in the first Avatar movie. With stealth. And of course, you can't do Airwolf without turbo!
Your Airwolf cover was wonderful, but the Knight Rider blew me away! Unfortunately, this made your Airwolf seem like a let down, even though it was wonderful. Maybe you should re-post it switching the order? Just a little helpful criticism, I still loved it. Keep up the good work!
Thanks so much. LOL! I guess you are right. I combined these because I wasn't sure if the Airwolf would stand on its own. Knight Rider is definitely the better one. Maybe I can split them up in the future. I don't want to delete this one because it has 4000 views.
@@ThePercussionRealmnot at all man. They’re both great in their own right. And the video editing shows that there was a lot of work going on for both songs
@@TheHeliKid I like the combo of the two. If I separate the two videos, then they will be competing with each other in terms of views. I would rather have the views on one video. I'm glad you did the video though.

Two of my favorite 80's TV-Themes and done with a great deal of cleverness and originality. No question I have to fave this.
Thanks my friend!
This was so quintessentially 80's that I started to sprout shoulder pads and a mullet!
LOL!!! I'm glad to hear that. Thanks for watching!!

The use of the Kettle Drum and Steel Saw were nice touches.
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Just the technicalities of recording this in parts is jaw dropping enough, but then actually making great renditions too. 😮
Knight Rider and Airwolf сериалы моего детства, обожаю их! 🤩👍👍👍 Только я их смотрел сильно позже, чем они реально вышли 🙄.

Muy bueno ,si suena flamenco, muchas gracias gran trabajo.

If airwolf was set in the Caribbean
The Caribbean episode, like oh yeah,
The perfect Haiku has only 2 syllables... 'Airwolf'
😆 thanks for that!
The 80s did not have enough xylophone-family and other percussion instrument theme songs
I know right!!

That airwolf slice was a bit hawkwind/ozrics..

I don’t think they benefit from the sound effects. Spoils it.
@jonjon9047 It makes the overall sound unique. There's a bunch of Knight Rider and Airwolf theme remixes already.
