Anthony, the way you articulate our world is spot on !!! I kind of describe it as being in the trenches for the last 30 years people don’t understand you obviously do keep up the good work Mike AAA Concrete
Amazing to see the hard work and expertise that goes into creating a durable/ aesthetically pleasing driveway. Your willingness to share your techniques and mentor other contractors is a testament to your generosity and passion for the construction industry. Thank you Anthony!!!
It’s amazing that we cant get any young American kids to learn this trade. I do concrete on the east coast and its contagious throughout. We’ve become a lazy country, and we now have to have our trades being done by foreign talent. Where will this country be in 10 years ? Thank God I’ll be retired
your right about about young contractors going to make serious money. Im 32 south Orange County journeyman tile setter and ill tell you I know 0 people my age build custom floated shower systems because my generation are afraid to work or they are plumbers haha. Show up on time don't cut corners and that's why im blessed enough to stay busy 365 a year in a 10 mile radius between San Clemente and strands. Nice concrete work!!
In the younger generation's defense and to your subsequent remark, the system is more rigged now (against them) than ever. Not rigged by the productive people of your generation, but the unproductive people who leach off of the (ever dwindling) productive class.
You can cement in alternate block wise system , cement one block leave exactly similar space then cement the next block of equal size . Then when the 1st Block dries you can stand on that & cement the blank blocks in that order using quick dry cement.
Few questions: 1. Is that a wooden bull float? advantage better than aluminum? 2. What slump do you pour when pumping? Looks wet. Lastly, Looks amazing!
Such a humble Guy! People always trying to say your stuck up but I see it totally different you are confident in your work ! And that’s motivating to me !!
Another top class job , you can tell you take great pride in your work, my motto for my building & roofing jobs is " The job must be right " keep up the great work. Tommy ,Ireland 😊
We know u are the best in the concrete department but I'm waiting to see a edit of Anthony killing the wedge. From a east coast surfing carpenter. Cheers
So I’m new in the concrete game from my opinion and the boys I help I’m catching up pretty quick I bout a mini skid steer how much experience do you think I need to be alone do some work alone
I know nothing about pouring concrete. Do you have a video which covers questions someone like me should ask a contractor and red flags to look out for when trying to select a contractor for a concrete job?
I looked up fantastic tools, and the other tool place you mentioned it dont give the option to order their products online. Do you know how i can order from them?
Bro one day I promise I’ll have a crew together when I’m out on my own 100% and pump out some broom jobs like these. And these videos and your channel are my inspiration dude. Your a hell of a guy Anthony. Thanks for taking the time before to school me on things bro I really appreciate everything man. Job turned out 🔥🔥🔥🤘
I live in the Midwest and have worked commercial general contractor for 18 years. We have worked and poured concrete in 38 states. I’ve never seen a commercial concrete contractor use a wood bull float or wood hand trowel in any area. Are you using wood to absorb bleed water? Why the wood finishing tools?
I just hit it with my 3' Darby after every couple pulls instead of cross bull floating it when there is no access. It's a little slower but everything is sealed as I go too
I never understood the fiber in flat work either. You need certain polymers incorporated into the mix for the fibers to be properly activated. Shit looks good though homie cali style!
It seems odd these other people on here have 200k subscribers and just show videos of themselves troweling concrete posting 3 videos a week. This shows you are all about the work and have much higher margins with a better quality of life.
I had a concrete driveway poured over a month ago here in Southern California. I have some dark spots in the driveway that does not seem to be going away. Any suggestions that I can try to improve the discoloration’s
@@WestCoastCustomConcrete thank you for the reply. Should I dilute the white vinegar? And do you suggest using a power washer after I spray it or let the white vinegar saturate
Anthony, the way you articulate our world is spot on !!! I kind of describe it as being in the trenches for the last 30 years people don’t understand you obviously do keep up the good work Mike AAA Concrete
Right on thanks Mike ✌️

Thank you for sharing. No concrete guy, but a blue collar tradesman, machinist welder, fabricator. A guy that can make your hood from raw material.

I like the sand instead of plastic just have to water it in good 🤘🏻
"Standing 10 feet away and they can't have a conversation with you." LOL!!! Pretty funny until I need them to replace my knee 20 years from now...

Anthony, I see you always setting up the the pump. You should let the crew take turns to develop the skill. Always sharing a lot with these videos.

Gotta work hard ✌️
Good work Anthony just curious what did you do about the crack in the concrete?
I will go back and fix it. I use concrete glue 👍I will show a video of how I do it

So I’m new in the concrete game from my opinion and the boys I help I’m catching up pretty quick I bout a mini skid steer how much experience do you think I need to be alone do some work alone
I’d give yourself 3 to 6 months depending on your progress ✌️
I know nothing about pouring concrete. Do you have a video which covers questions someone like me should ask a contractor and red flags to look out for when trying to select a contractor for a concrete job?
I would suggest going to look at some of his work. And talk to the customer 👍
I live in SD and was thinking about buying a pump. How can I get in touch with you to maybe shadow you for a day? Thanks!
Where did you go to get the new hood on your pump?
I have Brent at T&A pump in Stanton make me one ✌️
Your work is top notch !
I looked up fantastic tools, and the other tool place you mentioned it dont give the option to order their products online. Do you know how i can order from them?
Hey brother I’ve heard that from other people also. I would call them directly and hit them up that way 👍
Waiting for your pool demo video...
I will post it in a couple videos 👍
You kinda sounds like O'Dell anyone ever tell you that?
Cadillac is the best
Came out super clean.

There is no crush rock under layer no compression no heavy roller on crush rocks they put concrete straight on sand 😮
It leaves the surface open for bleed water 👍
That a drive way dude🎉
Thanks for watching bro ✌️
Why not tamp subgrade
We did 👍
I just hit it with my 3' Darby after every couple pulls instead of cross bull floating it when there is no access. It's a little slower but everything is sealed as I go too
You could definitely do it that way 👍
Amen brother amen
that rebar looks low in the slab pull it
Do you have to have a license to do concrete in California?
Yes
I never understood the fiber in flat work either.
You need certain polymers incorporated into the mix for the fibers to be properly activated.
Shit looks good though homie cali style!
Well said 👍
"It's a design like an artist did it." Wrong! An artist did do it...

I had a concrete driveway poured over a month ago here in Southern California. I have some dark spots in the driveway that does not seem to be going away. Any suggestions that I can try to improve the discoloration’s
It’s because of the fly ash in the mix. Get a sprayer and spray white vinegar straight on it. It will bleach it out. It’s a natural acid 👍
@@WestCoastCustomConcrete thank you for the reply. Should I dilute the white vinegar? And do you suggest using a power washer after I spray it or let the white vinegar saturate
@@lawrencesordotcom use it straight. Leave it on. Don’t wash it off✌️
@@lawrencesordotcom you can use a cheap Home Depot sprayer. Probably $30 spray the whole job
