This is one of the other more radio friendly songs for sure which is why it probably reminds you of their newer stuff. Alot of their next album sounds more like this as well. Their first album and most of this one sound almost nothing like their newer stuff they are coming out with. I think part of it has to do with Corey not being able to scream like this anymore and maturing. They were in their 20's and really angry when they wrote most of this album
I dont normally reply to these things but if both of you guys noticed I said "they" referring the band as a whole's average age. I understand corey and Shawn, maybe Chris im sure how old he was, were a bit older but sid was like 21 and Joey and Paul if I'm not mistaken were in their mid 20's. I never said Corey specifically 😅
@@coreymcnees5130 that and Corey has a method of screaming now that he didn’t do in Iowa 2000s and during that time he damaged his vocal chords doing those pure intense screams. That’s also why it sounds so good.
In which ear it begins has to do with which guitarist begins Mick or Jim (If I am correct Mick (metallic-ish mask) is the right ear and Jim (Joker-ish mask as in the joker from a pack of cards) the left ear (I am not 100% sure if I'm correct))
I'm pretty sure for the guitars that Jim is on the left and Mick is on the right. I also remember reading a comment that said for the Iowa record it's the opposite.
This is the tv friendly version. In the uncensored version the boy goes down to the storm cellar, covers his face in blood, raises a meat hook above his head, and strikes at something off camera. That version has become hard to find for some blasphemous reason.
By the way, the the first stanza of the second verse... "I can't stand the side of your thalidomide robot face..." Look up thalidomide. A very controversial psyche med. It's an interesting dive.
I played this video in my 8th grade English class for an “About me” project. We could play our favorite song or music video for the rest of the kids. Got some sideways glances that day. 😂😬

This is actually the most radio friendly tune on the album 😂. Great song. About when Corey was homeless as a child.

15 year old me was always so excited to see this video on MTV in the morning while getting ready for school 🤘

Late twenties during Iowa* Corey was about 27-28
marino with hearth reactions thicc
Lmao you can just google in 2 seconds and see it without doing the maths, “Corey Taylor age 2000” and it says 27

This was for a much wider broadcast. If you want the real video as the band intended, check out Left behind Director's Cut.

My favorite song of this album. The first metal song I have ever heard Btw. Thanks to my Cousin 🤘🏻

This is from 2001 and psychosocial is from 2008. They are a similar sound! All great reactions so far!!

Im fairly certain this song was my gateway into 2000s metal.

Actually exist another video version... It says directors cut to be more precisely, with another's scene from the kid down in the basement
From what I remember this song is about his friend being left behind from when he was homeless
I like that you add a bit more bass on the song😂
My next jumpsuit is going to be a Red iowa jumpsuit with the iowa japan red nose clown
Definitely Top 5 track ✊
Slipknot - Get This . Please

This damn video took me 3hrs. to download on Kazaa.
Fact: you never see chris on the scissor lift unlike Shawn, Joey and jay because he is/was afraid of heights😂
This album has a dark story behind it
Coreys vocie changed after he quit smoking
All Hope Is Gone is made in 2008 so psycososial
