I used to dead azz remove my ECU, coil packs and put bike locks on my axles ever day parking in San Francisco on streets with my h22eg hatch. sometimes I would take out even more just to switch it up like spark plugs spark plug wires or anything that make it undrivable. Also had 4 different style locking lug nuts on all 4 rims so 16 different keys to take rims off. plus I owned a Doberman Pinscher that loved sitting in the car to protect it if I was just going in store or something quick. Still have police report from when my dog held onto a guy for 20 minutes by his arm that reached into my car when I was getting hair cut.

What confuses me is like what do you do with the original ignition lock? And how does this effect the steering wheel lock that a part of the streering wheel lock system i doubt the switch itself can lock the steering wheel that is the only thing thst confuses me

Okay I want an explanation as to why their kit is $100 more than every other kit just like theirs. Other than the harness what makes it worth $100 extra???
What's stopping the thief from just unplugging all this stuff and plugging the stock harnesses back in? It looks like this could be bypassed by just unplugging a couple of wiring harnesses. Edit: I guess the RFID ignition switch would make that a pain in the neck, unless they brought a stock one to plug in in its place?
I have alarm, JDI push start kit, quick release steering wheel. When some one wants a car they will come w a tow truck n bye bye. I even installed cameras n I block my car every night with a Lexus that I have so. But will see what happens.
For that to happen the thief would have to first know that it was there. With the Ghost Lock fully installed properly, there would be no way of knowing that it was installed, like a Ghost. It is highly unlikely that a thief would remove your rear seat, take off the lid to the fuel pump area and unplug and replug the factory connector. The harness just appears to be an upgraded fuel pump wire harness and would not look out of the ordinary to a thief. As for the Push to Start system, yes, a thief could hypothetically bring an ignition switch compatible with your exact year vehicle and disassemble the lower dash and unplug the push to start system and then plug in the factory switch and so on. If a thief is that resourceful and prepared then they will probably be stealing the car regardless of the security measures in place, such as simply towing the vehicle away. Thats where the Ghost Lock comes in. It gives you the best chance at recovering the vehicle after the unfortunate event that it is stolen. When it comes to security, we recommend adding as many security measures as possible. A kill switch, our Push to Start Kit, Ghost Lock, quick release steering wheel with lock, etc. Thieves are typically looking for easy targets where they can get in and out as quickly as possible. The more security measures that need to be bypassed the better.
Yes u need to keep the key cylinder n mount the push start button else were. It's a lil more work n sometimes I have to go back to my car Bec I forgot to take the key off the ignition 🤦🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️ I'm working on it 😂😂 in the JDI they have a video w everything u need to install. Hope this helps

I had the same question. So I went to the website. This kit is an upgraded fuel pump relay kit that is powered at the alternator to fuse box connection. So your pump will be seeing 14v from the alternator. I've actually been looking into making my own harness for my pump setup, everything I wanted to build my own was going to cost over 100 dollars. There are already reputable companies making these harnesses just for the pump upgrade. The ghost lock kit uses higher quality parts for their version of the pump relay upgrade than I was planning to use. But it also provides the tracking system as well. The price may seem a little high. But from my research this price is very good for what is offered. I'm going to pick this kit up instead as it offers everything I need for the pump relay upgrade and the ability to track my car.
@@aaleexsaalaazaar I ended up grabbing the ghost lock and push start. I have an Eg, but after talking to the guys at jdi I ended up get the universal kit for my setup. I'm running a Dw400 pump.
Lol just so you know jdi uses a Ebay brand called easy guard push start. You can buy it yourself for 30$ on ebay an de pin the the 2 harness connectors that you need to take out for it to work. Only thing they do is make it plug an play with the same connectors that you take out an tax you for it🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Not worth what they are asking.

Those ghost locks are easy to remove all u have to do is take power off wich u do by cutting cable off the fuse box and the push to start all u have to do is disconnect the fuse box cable disable the push start moral of the story if they really want to take ur car there taking it my homie had all that shit of he used to block his car with his parents cars one on front one in the bk and they still took it guess how tow truck them fools are savage

If power is cut it notifies you and it has a 6 hr internal battery broadcasting its location.
