You are just the youtubers I need. I make the same kind of artwork, bought the epson p800, want to start selling cards and then I found you 😀. I live in Switzerland and they don’t ship the paper you use to Europe. Oh no ☹️ and no mohawk retailer in northern Europe. What is the most important in looking for alternatives? Thank you for sharing the information. Do you have tips on how to prevent crumpling/cracking when folding the cards? I use EK Tools score board and no matter how light I score or fold the card it looks very unpolished and can't get a clean sharp fold. Thanks for your help!
sounds like it could be either the cars stock you use or that you’re folding it the wrong way? You should be folding the card with the creased side facing outward.
Hi there, I bought most of the stuff you recommend to begin, but the Card stock that is linked below isn't available. I would like to know what you recommend to replace that textured linen that Cathy is mentioning about in the video pls. Thanks very much.
I've been told that many shops seem to be out of stock of the linen card stock recently. The best alternative is the solar white linen from Paper Mill store: www.thepapermillstore.com/classic-linen-solar-white-card-stock-8-1-2-x-11-in-100-lb-cover-linen-250-per-package.html but you'll have to purchase pack of 250. I would explore another matte white card stock from the site I linked if you don't want to commit to the high quantity.
yea we made the same mistake. here you go: amzn.to/3qV3aG2 they add 1/4 an inch or so to both sides. will update the show notes too. thanks for feedback.
we have two videos we did recently that go through the envelopes we use. one budget and one premium. links are in the show notes as well. we buy in bulk to get free shipping. ruclips.net/video/EQR2QQhNkS4/видео.html ruclips.net/video/cjkxnnJreJ4/видео.html
re-visited this video after this Thanksgiving, and I must say I'm sorry to hear about that cute little dog. but video tape/watercolor never die. one of my inspirations for taking a whack at cartooning/greeting cards, was when my niece asked me to draw my Mum's late, great beloved German Shepherd Blaze, for her own birthday card. I used sharpies and a little bit of colored pencil, on Walgreen's poster board. she cried when she saw it. my mission was not to not draw a German Shepherd, but Blaze (they tend to look alike, we've had 2 of 'em).
How do you go about putting the settings on photoshop for spacing the cards out for print? (If that question makes sense). Obviously 8.5x11 file size but the little blue lines and such?! Thanks :)
Great video! Do you have to do a lot of adjustments in Photoshop to have your art print to look as close as your originals? I find that the colour variations make my tests look yucky. I have an Epson wF7700.
Hi, first of all, thank you so much for your informative videos! I noticed that you have an Epson printer and use paper that is not Epson branded. I have an Epson too, and thought I had to buy the branded paper so that the colors come out accurately. Have you found that is not the case with your Mohawk paper? Thank you.
our mohawk paper for greeting cards don’t produce color as well as our Epson paper mainly because the premium Epson papers we use for art prints are inherently better quality than regular card stock. Art prints are also priced higher and last longer than greeting cards so we feel the slight difference in color don’t make a big difference in their intended purpose.
Awesome content! Thank you so much for sharing this. I’ve only watched a couple of your videos so far, do you only sell online or do you sell in retail shops too? I’ll be binge watching your content to get up to speed 😄
This is such a wonderful video!! You guys explained so well. Question: have you worked with recycled or other eco friendly products?? If so, what were your experiences, recommendations, etc? Xoxo from TX!
Here you go: ruclips.net/video/GezOWESn0Z4/видео.html eco packaging. Chipboard is recycled. There is recycled envelopes and cardstock available out there. There might have a slightly diff look or texture but quality is good.
not for greeting cards. we pack it in rigid mailer for protection and find that smaller sizes don’t get bent easily as art prints. If using a bubble mailer, we would use a cardboard backing.
When you were selecting paper for your cards, did you ever consider greeting card stock that is already scored/sized for cards? I know Red River paper sells some...I wonder if you are not sacrificing paper quality for convenience tho. Wondering if you looked at this and decided to go with normal size paper and do the whole process yourself?
good question! We’ve invested in a scoring machine early on so it really doesn’t take much time to score. We buy 500+ card stock at a time and the cost is much much lower than buying pre cut /pre scored paper that even when we hire someone else to do it it’s still worth it. But for starters while building up volume, yes that could help!
Such a great content guys, the transparency that you are showing giving this very well done informative video is very valuable. The best for you in this business!

Hi, do you have a tutorial on how to use your fab template on procreate on the iPad? Sadly I don’t have a desktop😢
Love your videos. so informative. I recently purchased a epson printer surecolor p900. I don't know how did you perfectly make the borderless printing. I have some white edges on the print when I design at 8.5 x 11 inches and print it on the same sized paper.
Might depend on the program you’re printing from? I use “borderless, retain size” printer setting for that paper size and I print from Photoshop.
@@EasySundayClub I print from Photoshop and I changed my printer settings to borderless with exact paper size. The images which have colors from edge to edge is giving me atleast 0.2-0.3 mm white border. I’ll research about this more. But thanks for your help on answering my question. 😊
Search full bleed printing file setting. most of my art don’t reach all the way to the edge so it’s hard to say if mine truly prints borderless.
@@EasySundayClub Sure, will check it out, Thank you so much! 😊
This is a very helpful video, thank you for sharing!! I really love that you use compostable plastic bags for your cards. What a great way to help offset plastic waste! What size plastic bags do you use for the 4.25x5.5 cards?

Yes! In our other video on 10 strategies on selling greeting cards, I recommend bundling as a good way to increase sales. Great suggestion.
Helpful,thanks!
Thank you 💜
Your welcome !!
Thanks so much for sharing! How do you get your envelopes? Do you bulk buy a bunch of different sizes ?
we have two videos we did recently that go through the envelopes we use. one budget and one premium. links are in the show notes as well. we buy in bulk to get free shipping. ruclips.net/video/EQR2QQhNkS4/видео.html ruclips.net/video/cjkxnnJreJ4/видео.html
re-visited this video after this Thanksgiving, and I must say I'm sorry to hear about that cute little dog. but video tape/watercolor never die. one of my inspirations for taking a whack at cartooning/greeting cards, was when my niece asked me to draw my Mum's late, great beloved German Shepherd Blaze, for her own birthday card.
Thanks :)
Hi Rachel this goes into how we create a greeting card template in photoshop: ruclips.net/video/gk47Pe-959M/видео.html
Great video! Do you have to do a lot of adjustments in Photoshop to have your art print to look as close as your originals? I find that the colour variations make my tests look yucky. I have an Epson wF7700.
Hi Chantal: these are all of our printer settings: ruclips.net/video/teaDULHKKPA/видео.html
@@EasySundayClub Woohoo! Brilliant! OK I will have to adopt Photoshop. I have procreate... :-(
Hi, first of all, thank you so much for your informative videos!
Art prints are also priced higher and last longer than greeting cards so we feel the slight difference in color don’t make a big difference in their intended purpose.
thank you so much for this!
Our way of giving back. Best of luck on your greeting card journey!
@@EasySundayClub thank you! ☺️
Thanks for the tips :)
Thank you so much!! Great Video. New Sub.
Looks cool! Nice video!
Thanks!
Fantastic video! Do you have any recommendations for slightly cheaper printers as that is out of my budget
Hi Tam I have a 2021 best printers for artists vid. Just look in our video section. It has lower budget options
Oh, can you do a video on postcards-- double sided printing? Is that possible with the Epson printer?
yes but it’s not automated. you’ll have to reload them to print on the other side.
Awesome content! Thank you so much for sharing this. I’ve only watched a couple of your videos so far, do you only sell online or do you sell in retail shops too? I’ll be binge watching your content to get up to speed 😄
Both. :) @easysundayclub on ig
So helpful thank you!
Super useful and inspiring!
So glad!
Do you use a cardboard to prevent bending at all?
not for greeting cards. we pack it in rigid mailer for protection and find that smaller sizes don’t get bent easily as art prints. If using a bubble mailer, we would use a cardboard backing.
@@EasySundayClub you got yourself a new subbie. Thanks for the thoughtful and detailed reply
@@tbinyt thank you!
context matters :).
Hi! Do you stick to a certain kind of mailing envelope too? Would love to see how it looks when it's mailed out. Thanks!
we have a short and sweet video that addresses just that! ruclips.net/video/fx29LtUsfJ0/видео.html
