Stephen Hopper it's how one hears, that often deatermens what is heard. Also, even when done best with any type of music, adjusting the speed of playback helps to understand it better. Probably some just need to slow it down, and don't think, to do so.

***** Technically it is correct. Both Defence and Defense are correct spellings just in different counties. Defense is more of an American way of spelling it(I assume you're american) while Defence is used in other places such as Britain and Australian. Now i happen to be Australian I may be wrong about where places spell them. But either way its correct

This song reminds me of my alien species The Octroidians which are a race of bio-mechanical octopus like aliens but there are 5 other subspecies including: The only Humanoid Octroidian aka Octron the LEADER who is a 15 ft tall humanoid with his multiple tentacles coming from his back. Enforcers are the bigger subspecies with the ability to turn into a ball, the downside is they can’t climb because of their size Sentinels are 116 meters tall but don’t look like octopi, their main weapon is their claw hand which crush with a lot of force Hunters can fly and seek out anything with the slightest trace of their target And the single Engineer has tool arms and is confined to a small place, it builds new Octroidians and puts its ever growing intelligence inside of them. Later: Octron said to his single Octroidian Engineer “I want you to build more troops for the uprising of our species”, the engineer nodded and started building more Octroidians. Back at Mantraven’s base: Tasmanta had bandages wrapped around his eye holes as he said “then it plunged its tentacles into my eyes and ripped them out, I found my way here because I can use other senses to travel”, Rachel said “we have to stop these things before more people become blind”. That night Mantraven, Avery Cerebrum aka The Controller, Henry Maxwell aka Vecna and Reptilo Ferdinand aka Saurus Boy who was escorting Tasmanta with them so they could find where the Octroidians went, when they got to the location where Tasmanta was abducted Saurus Boy morphed into a Velociraptor to find which way the Octroidians went, Reptilo stopped at a cavern in the ground where an unnatural blue light was illuminating and Tasmanta said “I know that smell anywhere, that’s the smell of gouged out eyeballs this is where they are, Rachel told her Grandfather to stay outside because if the Octroidians see him again they will kill him, the four heroes went inside the cavern to find a colossal spaceship which had flying Octroidians swarming around it which then attached themselves to the ship as they shut down to sleep, the heroes went inside the ship and walked through long hallways before Avery had to stretch his leg, he leaned on what he thought was a wall, “Avery get off of that” said Rachel “can’t you see what that is” said Rachel again, Avery turned on a light in his helmet and looked up at what he was leaning on which he learned wasn’t a wall, it was a 116 meter tall Octroidian standing still with 2 others, Avery said with fear “do you think these things are here to conquer earth”, Rachel replied “let’s make sure they don’t”, the heroes entered what looked like a throne room where they saw the Octroidian that took Tasmanta’s eyes, Avery yelled out “Octron”, the Octroidian leader looked at him dropping its eye snack as it stood up and said “what did you say to me”, Avery said “Octron, it’s just my name for you, I mean it sounds better than just calling you the Octroidian Leader am I right”, Rachel slapped Avery and said “will you shut the hell up you just gave away our cover”, the Octroidian said “Octron Octron, from now on my name is Octron, are you ready to die”, Reptilo said “I think we’d rather stay alive”, Octron raised four of his tentacles which attacked almost immediately but only two of the team were grabbed Rachel and Avery, Rachel was restrained to a wall and Avery was getting punched repeatedly by Octron, Rachel started saying “emoc ot em mood larips” which is the ancient calling of the ancient guardian Doom Spiral, just before Avery took another blow Rachel called to the tentacled behemoth and said “oh by the way, I have an ancient guardian”, an echoing voice said to Octron “hey, pick on someone your own size”, Octron turned around to see a human being made of blue rock and wearing bandage like clothing, suddenly the being which was Doom Spiral punched Octron with his disproportionately large hands and Octron dropped the battered and bruised Avery who was caught by Vecna’s telekinetic powers (I had this character before season 4 of Stranger Things), Rachel said to Henry to get him out of here and for Reptilo to carry him out and come back to help her and Doom Spiral take down Octron, Octron was losing the fight against Doom Spiral as he couldn’t keep up with his opponents speed before getting pushed against a wall, Doom Spiral said to Octron “Don’t mess with friend Rachel”, Octron grabbed hold of Doom Spiral’s hands and forced him backwards overpowering his opponent’s strength before punching him in the face so hard that it cracked Doom Spiral’s rock like body, Doom Spiral tried to gain the upper hand but Octron was the one who was too fast for Doom as he picked him up without using his tentacles and was about to slam him into the ground but a glob of tar like venom hit Octron’s eye and he dropped Doom Spiral, the venom came from Reptilo who was in the form of a Dilophosaurus (I know they don’t do that but who cares), Reptilo then shifted into a Therizinosaurus to attack and Reptilo got a few slashes before Octron broke one of Reptilo’s claws forcing him to revert back, Octron was about to kill Reptilo but was grabbed from behind by Doom Spiral who drove his head into a wall and said “Friend Rachel run away I hold off big bully”, Rachel said “but what about you, you’ll die”, he replied “I’ll be back” before pulling Octron out of the wall, Octron called out “don’t let them escape”, at that moment idle Octroidian’s eyes lit up red as they started to chase after the duo of Rachel and Reptilo, Octron overwhelmed Doom Spiral and knocked him to the ground, Doom Spiral let out his final words “friends more powerful than you”, Octron punched Doom Spiral in the head crushing it completely, he looked forward at the exit seething, he called out the Octroidians to assemble in the grand hall. Back at the base: Henry to Avery “just don’t touch it, that’ll only make it hurt more”, Henry gives Avery an ice pack for his jaw, Rachel then asked with a panicked expression where Tasmanta was. She assumed the worst that he was killed, Henry said “well our most intelligent will be out of commission for a little bit”, Avery said “don’t worry about me I’ll be fine in a few minutes, see I can talk again” Zezi Zilch aka Magnelia came in to ask if anyone can feel a rumbling in the distance which seemed to be getting more intense every second. The heroes stepped outside of their base to see something horrible, in the big section of the city they saw the same gargantuan Octroidian in the city smashing the buildings, Darcy Keronpa aka Darkblaze asked “what the hell is that”, to their horror two more giants appeared and a giant swarm of flying Octroidians were zooming through the gaps between the buildings, Rachel said “there’s a big fight coming to us we’re gonna need backup”, she picked up a phone and called her “sibling sister” Mindy Shikeishu aka Mimic and her Gothic Gals which consisted of Leslie Ellis aka High Volt, Siobhan Vocalia aka Scream, Bernadette Sorrow aka Barracuda, Lucy Lillian aka Lust and Dorothy Doris aka Draculette, Rachel said that there was a massive fight coming to them and they needed backup, Mindy said “we’ll be right there” then she said “Doris, my sisters base right now, everyone else as well and bring your suits and don’t forget your sun protector Doris”. Within a few minutes the Gothic Gals were at the base facing the city and witnessed the destruction of the city and thy donned their suits and prepared to fight, Mindy as Mimic said “Draculette teleport us to the edge of the city”, the group were immediately transported to the edge of the city. Mantraven’s group and Mimic’s group the Gothic Gals walked through the city, Avery said “watch out for the humanoid one he hits like a truck and he killed Doom Spiral”, Mindy said “Who’s Doom Spiral”, Rachel said “he was my ancient guardian who I summoned by mistake”, Mindy replied “I’m sorry about him but we’ll avenge him”. Suddenly a giant Octroidian Enforcer landed in front of the two groups, it had five legs, a flying saucer shaped head and a red visor, a blue light came from the Enforcer’s visor like eye which scanned the group who were teleported to the top of the skyscraper in the middle of the city and devised a plan to draw the Octroidians to them, Benjamin Ellis aka Shock Jock said “I’ve seen something like this in a series where they used music to distract a bunch of creatures”, Avery said “we need speakers and a phone with a music app”, when the speakers where set up Avery plugged his green tendrils into every speaker and started blasting Dragula by Rob Zombie across the city which caught the attention of every Octroidian along with Octron and a certain blind assassin, suddenly a swarm of Octroidian Hunters aka Flying Octroidians flew to the edge of the building followed by the Octroidian Sentinels and the regular Octroidians started climbing very quickly, suddenly Octron appeared over the edge of the building and looked at the groups and said “now there’s more of you for the killing”, Octron raised his tentacles and was about to strike when a metallic blade was shot at him along with two more, Rachel looked for the source and to her amazement she saw her grandfather Tasmanta now wearing a helmet that would cover his eyes but he doesn’t have any and his new blindness enhanced his senses, Tasmanta said to Octron “remember me”, Octron was enraged by the return of his enemy, Tasmanta lunged towards him and shoved him off the building and the two fell as they fought, suddenly the Octroidian Hunters slowly started approaching, High Volt shocked the swarm as the Sentinels approached the building and tore a gash in the building, suddenly the building started to tilt, Draculette teleported everyone to the bottom, Tasmanta and Octron where still falling and fighting each other until the hit the ground and fell into the underground cavern where the Octroidian ship is and continued their fight, Rachel was told by Vecna that her grandfather needed help and the two went to help as the rest of the group and the Gothic Gals went to help the citizens. Tasmanta was caught by Octron’s tentacles and he said “You don’t need eyes to survive, bu you need a heart”, Octron held a tentacle in front of Tasmanta’s chest and prepared to gouge his heart out but Octron was flung away by Vecna’s telekinetic abilities as Rachel blasted Octron with her dark energy and the trio fought Octron out of the cavern, Tasmanta was able to slice off all of Octron’s tentacles which rendered Octron defenceless. The trio got Octron in the way of an approaching Octroidian Sentinel and Tasmanta quickly zipped towards the Sentinel and sliced off its two front legs, Mantraven and Vecna ran out of the way as Tasmanta pinned Octron to the ground and leaped away, Octron looked up and saw the collapsing sentinel and closed his eyes as the Sentinel fell to the ground killing him, suddenly Tasmanta said “there’s an engineer who is the reason these things are alive”, the trio went inside the ship
I wish people would stop whining that the lyrics are wrong. Yes, this is a lyric video, yes, they are important. WHO CARES. Listen to the music because you love it, not criticize someone because they messed up. Jesus, children these days.
As you pointed out yes in some scenarios the lyrics are not important, however most people like to know the lyrics as that way they can properly connect with the song and in metal that is especially important as it expresses very intense emotions. There is also nothing wrong with criticising people on their mistakes, as it is how we improve ourselves.
How hard is it to look up the lyrics on google before making this lyrics video? All you have to do is go into google and type in "Disturbed Open Your Eyes Lyrics" and the lyrics pop up for the general public to view.
I think all hard-line voters of any type need to listen to this and realise bouth sides lie bouth sides manipulate and realise it's time to stop letting our identitys be dictated by our political leanings and realise just because I don't necessarily agree with u on something this time doesn't mean I hate you or everything you stand for it just means in this one instance we disagree but who knows next time we might agree if only ppl could stop letting there politics dictate who thay are

This song reminds me of my alien species The Octroidians which are a race of bio-mechanical octopus like aliens but there are 5 other subspecies including:
The only Humanoid Octroidian aka Octron the LEADER who is a 15 ft tall humanoid with his multiple tentacles coming from his back.
Enforcers are the bigger subspecies with the ability to turn into a ball, the downside is they can’t climb because of their size
Sentinels are 116 meters tall but don’t look like octopi, their main weapon is their claw hand which crush with a lot of force
Hunters can fly and seek out anything with the slightest trace of their target
And the single Engineer has tool arms and is confined to a small place, it builds new Octroidians and puts its ever growing intelligence inside of them.
They are older than planet earth themselves but when earth came to be they crashed on earth for centuries and woke up in the year 2022 with 15 regular Octroidians, the leader Octron, 5 enforcers, 1 engineer, 3 hunters and 3 sentinels. 3 normal Octroidians when to explore the new world but they were met by Tasmanta who they saw as a threat because of his inhuman appearance and tried to attack him but despite his elderly appearance he was very agile against them until he got blindsided and was captured and brought to the crashed ship where the leader Octron was reading a dictionary learning the human language, two of the Octroidians held Tasmanta up to Octron who said in a very deep and sinister voice “I’m surprised you can see at all, but now you won’t see anything ever again” Octron held up two of his 3 clawed tentacles which started spinning and then swiftly gouged into Tasmanta’s eyes and they were ripped out, Octron place the gouged eyeballs into a preservative liquid and commanded the two Octroidians to discard Tasmanta which they did as Tasmanta was in complete agony.
Rachel Abiko aka Mantraven was at her base sleeping on Henry Maxwell aka Vecna’s shoulder until she heard a doorbell and went to see who it was, when she opened the door she was horrified to see her grandfather Tasmanta with bloody holes where his eyes should be and he said “Rachel is that you my love”.
Later: Octron said to his single Octroidian Engineer “I want you to build more troops for the uprising of our species”, the engineer nodded and started building more Octroidians.
Back at Mantraven’s base: Tasmanta had bandages wrapped around his eye holes as he said “then it plunged its tentacles into my eyes and ripped them out, I found my way here because I can use other senses to travel”, Rachel said “we have to stop these things before more people become blind”. That night Mantraven, Avery Cerebrum aka The Controller, Henry Maxwell aka Vecna and Reptilo Ferdinand aka Saurus Boy who was escorting Tasmanta with them so they could find where the Octroidians went, when they got to the location where Tasmanta was abducted Saurus Boy morphed into a Velociraptor to find which way the Octroidians went, Reptilo stopped at a cavern in the ground where an unnatural blue light was illuminating and Tasmanta said “I know that smell anywhere, that’s the smell of gouged out eyeballs this is where they are, Rachel told her Grandfather to stay outside because if the Octroidians see him again they will kill him, the four heroes went inside the cavern to find a colossal spaceship which had flying Octroidians swarming around it which then attached themselves to the ship as they shut down to sleep, the heroes went inside the ship and walked through long hallways before Avery had to stretch his leg, he leaned on what he thought was a wall, “Avery get off of that” said Rachel “can’t you see what that is” said Rachel again, Avery turned on a light in his helmet and looked up at what he was leaning on which he learned wasn’t a wall, it was a 116 meter tall Octroidian standing still with 2 others, Avery said with fear “do you think these things are here to conquer earth”, Rachel replied “let’s make sure they don’t”, the heroes entered what looked like a throne room where they saw the Octroidian that took Tasmanta’s eyes, Avery yelled out “Octron”, the Octroidian leader looked at him dropping its eye snack as it stood up and said “what did you say to me”, Avery said “Octron, it’s just my name for you, I mean it sounds better than just calling you the Octroidian Leader am I right”, Rachel slapped Avery and said “will you shut the hell up you just gave away our cover”, the Octroidian said “Octron Octron, from now on my name is Octron, are you ready to die”, Reptilo said “I think we’d rather stay alive”, Octron raised four of his tentacles which attacked almost immediately but only two of the team were grabbed Rachel and Avery, Rachel was restrained to a wall and Avery was getting punched repeatedly by Octron, Rachel started saying “emoc ot em mood larips” which is the ancient calling of the ancient guardian Doom Spiral, just before Avery took another blow Rachel called to the tentacled behemoth and said “oh by the way, I have an ancient guardian”, an echoing voice said to Octron “hey, pick on someone your own size”, Octron turned around to see a human being made of blue rock and wearing bandage like clothing, suddenly the being which was Doom Spiral punched Octron with his disproportionately large hands and Octron dropped the battered and bruised Avery who was caught by Vecna’s telekinetic powers (I had this character before season 4 of Stranger Things), Rachel said to Henry to get him out of here and for Reptilo to carry him out and come back to help her and Doom Spiral take down Octron, Octron was losing the fight against Doom Spiral as he couldn’t keep up with his opponents speed before getting pushed against a wall, Doom Spiral said to Octron “Don’t mess with friend Rachel”, Octron grabbed hold of Doom Spiral’s hands and forced him backwards overpowering his opponent’s strength before punching him in the face so hard that it cracked Doom Spiral’s rock like body, Doom Spiral tried to gain the upper hand but Octron was the one who was too fast for Doom as he picked him up without using his tentacles and was about to slam him into the ground but a glob of tar like venom hit Octron’s eye and he dropped Doom Spiral, the venom came from Reptilo who was in the form of a Dilophosaurus (I know they don’t do that but who cares), Reptilo then shifted into a Therizinosaurus to attack and Reptilo got a few slashes before Octron broke one of Reptilo’s claws forcing him to revert back, Octron was about to kill Reptilo but was grabbed from behind by Doom Spiral who drove his head into a wall and said “Friend Rachel run away I hold off big bully”, Rachel said “but what about you, you’ll die”, he replied “I’ll be back” before pulling Octron out of the wall, Octron called out “don’t let them escape”, at that moment idle Octroidian’s eyes lit up red as they started to chase after the duo of Rachel and Reptilo, Octron overwhelmed Doom Spiral and knocked him to the ground, Doom Spiral let out his final words “friends more powerful than you”, Octron punched Doom Spiral in the head crushing it completely, he looked forward at the exit seething, he called out the Octroidians to assemble in the grand hall.
Back at the base: Henry to Avery “just don’t touch it, that’ll only make it hurt more”, Henry gives Avery an ice pack for his jaw, Rachel then asked with a panicked expression where Tasmanta was. She assumed the worst that he was killed, Henry said “well our most intelligent will be out of commission for a little bit”, Avery said “don’t worry about me I’ll be fine in a few minutes, see I can talk again” Zezi Zilch aka Magnelia came in to ask if anyone can feel a rumbling in the distance which seemed to be getting more intense every second. The heroes stepped outside of their base to see something horrible, in the big section of the city they saw the same gargantuan Octroidian in the city smashing the buildings, Darcy Keronpa aka Darkblaze asked “what the hell is that”, to their horror two more giants appeared and a giant swarm of flying Octroidians were zooming through the gaps between the buildings, Rachel said “there’s a big fight coming to us we’re gonna need backup”, she picked up a phone and called her “sibling sister” Mindy Shikeishu aka Mimic and her Gothic Gals which consisted of Leslie Ellis aka High Volt, Siobhan Vocalia aka Scream, Bernadette Sorrow aka Barracuda, Lucy Lillian aka Lust and Dorothy Doris aka Draculette, Rachel said that there was a massive fight coming to them and they needed backup, Mindy said “we’ll be right there” then she said “Doris, my sisters base right now, everyone else as well and bring your suits and don’t forget your sun protector Doris”.
Within a few minutes the Gothic Gals were at the base facing the city and witnessed the destruction of the city and thy donned their suits and prepared to fight, Mindy as Mimic said “Draculette teleport us to the edge of the city”, the group were immediately transported to the edge of the city. Mantraven’s group and Mimic’s group the Gothic Gals walked through the city, Avery said “watch out for the humanoid one he hits like a truck and he killed Doom Spiral”, Mindy said “Who’s Doom Spiral”, Rachel said “he was my ancient guardian who I summoned by mistake”, Mindy replied “I’m sorry about him but we’ll avenge him”. Suddenly a giant Octroidian Enforcer landed in front of the two groups, it had five legs, a flying saucer shaped head and a red visor, a blue light came from the Enforcer’s visor like eye which scanned the group who were teleported to the top of the skyscraper in the middle of the city and devised a plan to draw the Octroidians to them, Benjamin Ellis aka Shock Jock said “I’ve seen something like this in a series where they used music to distract a bunch of creatures”, Avery said “we need speakers and a phone with a music app”, when the speakers where set up Avery plugged his green tendrils into every speaker and started blasting Dragula by Rob Zombie across the city which caught the attention of every Octroidian along with Octron and a certain blind assassin, suddenly a swarm of Octroidian Hunters aka Flying Octroidians flew to the edge of the building followed by the Octroidian Sentinels and the regular Octroidians started climbing very quickly, suddenly Octron appeared over the edge of the building and looked at the groups and said “now there’s more of you for the killing”, Octron raised his tentacles and was about to strike when a metallic blade was shot at him along with two more, Rachel looked for the source and to her amazement she saw her grandfather Tasmanta now wearing a helmet that would cover his eyes but he doesn’t have any and his new blindness enhanced his senses, Tasmanta said to Octron “remember me”, Octron was enraged by the return of his enemy, Tasmanta lunged towards him and shoved him off the building and the two fell as they fought, suddenly the Octroidian Hunters slowly started approaching, High Volt shocked the swarm as the Sentinels approached the building and tore a gash in the building, suddenly the building started to tilt, Draculette teleported everyone to the bottom, Tasmanta and Octron where still falling and fighting each other until the hit the ground and fell into the underground cavern where the Octroidian ship is and continued their fight, Rachel was told by Vecna that her grandfather needed help and the two went to help as the rest of the group and the Gothic Gals went to help the citizens. Tasmanta was caught by Octron’s tentacles and he said “You don’t need eyes to survive, bu you need a heart”, Octron held a tentacle in front of Tasmanta’s chest and prepared to gouge his heart out but Octron was flung away by Vecna’s telekinetic abilities as Rachel blasted Octron with her dark energy and the trio fought Octron out of the cavern, Tasmanta was able to slice off all of Octron’s tentacles which rendered Octron defenceless. The trio got Octron in the way of an approaching Octroidian Sentinel and Tasmanta quickly zipped towards the Sentinel and sliced off its two front legs, Mantraven and Vecna ran out of the way as Tasmanta pinned Octron to the ground and leaped away, Octron looked up and saw the collapsing sentinel and closed his eyes as the Sentinel fell to the ground killing him, suddenly Tasmanta said “there’s an engineer who is the reason these things are alive”, the trio went inside the ship

I wish people would stop whining that the lyrics are wrong. Yes, this is a lyric video, yes, they are important. WHO CARES. Listen to the music because you love it, not criticize someone because they messed up. Jesus, children these days.
As you pointed out yes in some scenarios the lyrics are not important, however most people like to know the lyrics as that way they can properly connect with the song and in metal that is especially important as it expresses very intense emotions.
There is also nothing wrong with criticising people on their mistakes, as it is how we improve ourselves.
