- As some of you know, I've been collecting and saving beer cans from the dirt roads and fishing holes I stop at, and this is what it's for! This little classic is going to set me back somewhere around 7,000 beer cans but that's not really a big deal. It's shocking how many cans one can collect in a single day!
This ol' beauty still needs some work but I should be able to put her on the water as soon as I get a drain plug and a trolling motor, both on the way already. Fuzzy may have a line on a mid '50s trolling motor that still works so it'll be great to see what comes of that! Classic machines all the way around, what a score! Спорт
With all of the character in that boat - you won't be fishing 🎣 for compliments.
They'll be jumping in the boat. - KJ
Lol, that ol' boat may just have more personality than I do!!
That's an awesome project. I really hope you get that classic out on the water. Wow only 700. 👍👍
I feel like I stole it, but he said he was getting his money back so I drove off into the sunset happy as a clam!
can't wait to see the boat after its said and done. But damn, it looks like fun boat!
It's gonna be a slice, so excited to get her out there!
Cool looking boat man! Alot of folks down here in Alabama need to hear that message about littering, too many fishing spots that look like they might as well be trash dumps! Can't wait to see what you do with the boat!
It's gonna be a lot of fun!! I can't believe how much folks leave at fishing & camping sites ... :-(
Awesome. Def look up the ratios some of those old outboards are 30:1 my little 3.6hp had 18:1. If has been sitting for awhile might have to take the carb apart because 2 stroke gas gums stuff up pretty good. At 28hp dont expect to water ski. You want min 70hp for water skiing. I have a 20hp on a smaller lighter boat and its no rocket ship thats forsure. Def have a project on your hands. Looking forward to the progress. And def get out ice fishing its a blast just dont go early or late season youll be fine. We get like 3-4 feet of ice in the winter youll be fine
Perhaps they'll be stuck tubing then, that little boat says it's only rated for 40 hp max so I don't imagine I'll be putting too much more power on there, although I do kinda wanna go all Tim the tool man Taylor on it! More power !! From what I can find, that McCulloch will take a 100 : 1 mix, at least according to the old print ads I found online anyway ...
As for the ice fishing ... the Magic 8 Ball says ... odds look good! Now that I'm catching some fish, usually, I'm not sure I could wait all winter anyway! :-) Cheers!
That’s going to awesome
It should be a blast with all the lakes around here!
Awesome--wow--nice
She's a neato little boat, looking forward to getting her all fixed up and out on the water!
Awesome 👍👍👍
Thanks 🤗
Now here is proof that good things come to good people, I am so happy you got a new toy now is it going to be hard to work on over your winters?
Thank you! Lucky for me, Fuzzy is getting the house next door which happens to have an enclosed garage. Seems I get to use it for a boat house over the winter! Such a good lad that one!
@@jtsbearfootoutdooradventur1285 Oh JT that is fantastic now witch house Is it the carport side or the other side where the fairy garden is?
Main garden side, so just past the tomatoes!
