Loved my time living in Oakland. Diversity, food, culture, weather, nature.

Cool video, would love to hear from a wider range of people in areas other than Montclair and Rockridge if you do a follow up!
Moved from the Bay Area to Austin, now Dallas. When I consider moving back, the difference in affordability (even for a 6 figure earner) and crime are the two main factors that hold me back. At this rate, the vibes and culture that we love in the bay will one day cease to exist.

Thanks for watching and for your feedback! I’m glad you enjoyed the video, and I’ll definitely aim to feature a wider range of neighborhoods in future videos.
I hear you on affordability and crime. It’s a big concern for people considering a move here, which is why I plan to keep making videos on the topics. I’m hopeful that the vibes and culture we love will still be here for years to come!

I would say you should have interviewed West Oakland and East Oakland. The lake , rockridge, Montclair , and Temescal are all the more wealthy components of Oakland and the safest neighborhoods.

I grew up in the Oakland hills. Recognized every location in this video. Post-college took me to Arkansas. I miss the Bay-- it is a really nice place.

I love the Oakland hills, they are such a beautiful part of the city. I can imagine Arkansas is quite the change, but I’m sure the Bay will always have a special place in your heart. Hopefully, you get a chance to visit soon!

Rockridge Safeway parking lot yup yup. Alameda County is big & this video does not give fair representation. Try Lake Merritt for an interview process, weekday mornings.

I don't really watch sports much, but I read that it came down to financial challenges, including stadium issues and negotiations with the city.

Trust me, Oakland was nice area back in the 60'-70's but now it is a 💩hole!!! Stop trying to make it sound like it is a great place to live. Liberals are delusional. If you want to know the truth about the area, ask conservatives, they will tell you the truth about it. The crime is off the hook there. If you want to live in the Bay Area, my suggestion would be San Ramon, Danville, and Pleasantons Golden Eagle Estates. If you're really wealthy live in Blackhawk. You are welcome 😊
