Thanks for this video, Brian and MM. The running left and right turns has always flummoxed me in NC2 step. This clears a lot of things up especially on the footwork for them. We’re actually doing it now! I also like your pointers on the correct frame/arm frame for leading the moves.

Very professional instruction. Enjoyed the teaching. My only pause is why You Tube instructors are calling this dance form the “Night Club two step.”
This form of the dance better reflects the “Balloom two step.” An adaptation of the Night Club two step by ballooom dancers. The original Night Club two step as created by Buddy Schwimmer in the 1960’s is done in a quick, quick, slow tempo danced as rock, in place, and side. Country Western dancers have adopted this form of Nightclub two step.
It gets confusing when instructors don’t explain the difference between the two. Also, when they refer to the original dance as old or out dated. Which it is not. The ballroom group have just modified the dance to be something more powerful, technical and precise. It would be nice for a You Tube instructor to explain the differences.

@@WestCoastSwingOnline Hello. I appreciate your response, and the new dance instruction link. I have subscribed to the channel and look forward to learning more.
One last issue. My wife and I recently attended an “XDance” seminar in So. Cal. Sorry, it is not my intention to pit your teaching against another teacher, but I am conflicted. After being advised the Nightclub as we were taught and as we know it, is wrong, old, and no longer relevant, the Nightclub demo (which I have found out is actually Ballroom two step) that “He” showed us started with the man starting to the right.
“He” stated it is the only dance where the man starts to the right, and it is imperative that he does. Something about it transitions the accompanying dance moves better. Also, in the XDance RUclips Nightclub two step instruction video, “He” explains the same thing. Men start to the right.
I see your teaching reflects the man starting to the left. I would just like to know does it matter? I see you dancing without issue. As a novice I am just seeking the proper guidance. I don’t have any preference right or left. Thank you for the time and effort you expend teaching us.
